*~*~*~*~*~*Chapter 10*~*~*~*~*~*

"Why didn’t you wanna meet them? They were the good guys, or did I miss something?"

"No, they were nice, I’m sure. But if you was a leader for a country, sitting on a boat with ten other leaders in the middle of a top-secret meeting, and a 18-year old girl entered with a machine-gun, dressed in camouflage clothes and she says that there was a bomb on the yacht, would you trust her, or would you call security?"

"You’re right. You’re only 18?"

"I was, two years ago. Shall I continue? We don’t have much time"

"Sure"

"So I looked around, searching for both the bomb and the contact. I didn’t have to search for so long, they were together"

"So you shot him and disarmed the bomb, right?" Nick asked eagerly. Stacey looked at him with an amused look. "He really lived up since that sandwich" she thought.

"Actually no. When he saw me, he knew what I intended, so he jumped overboard with the bomb, laughing" she said, and when she saw Nicks face she laughed too.

"I’m serious, he laughed. Probably because he thought he could detonate the bomb in the water"

"Couldn’t he?"

"Yes, but it takes a bit longer, the water influences the explosives, so I decided to move the boat. It was anchored, so I went to the captains bridge, started the engines and started to move the boat"

"But it was anchored? And where were the crew?"

"Yeah, it was anchored. And the crew was on their way, but when I "stepped" on the gas, the anchor loosened and we were on our way. And the crew…well, they fell on the ground and kind of lost consciousness" she said and blushed.

"What happened to the bombman?"

"He detonated the bomb, but by then we were already a few hundred metres away" she said and smiled contentedly at the memory.

"What happened then?"

"I went inside to introduce myself and had some tea with the leaders…no, what do you think I did? I jumped overboard and swam to shore" she said.

"And then what?"

"End of story"

Meanwhile, at Nick’s old house in Ruskin

AJ paced forth and back, while Howie watched him.

"Could you stop doing that?" Howie asked. AJ stopped and looked at him.

"This was a stupid thing to do, D. What if they just fooled us to get out of the house so they can kidnap us too?"

"Come on…I don’t think so. Besides, you spoke to Nick"

"What if they made him talk?"

"I don’t think so. They will come, I can feel it" Howie tried to convince his friend.

Suddenly, a car pulled up the street. The lights blinded them and they couldn’t see who was in it, but they saw that it stopped close to them.

*~*~*~*~*~*

Stacey parked the car a few metres from AJ and Howie, then she looked at Nick.

"Well, it has been nice to get to know you a bit. But before I leave I have to talk to your friends" she said. Nick nodded, opened the car-door and climbed out. It hurt everywhere but he didn’t care. He saw AJ and Howie running towards him.

"My God, Nick, are you alright?" AJ screamed and embraced him, rocking him back and forth. Howie stood aside, smiling, glad that his friend was ok. But Nick looked like shit. When AJ was ready, Howie stepped forward and hugged him.

"I’m so glad you’re ok, Nicky" he said and swallowed his tears.

"Me too. If it hadn’t been for Stacey I would have still been there now" he said and looked at her. She had stepped back a bit to let them have a moment for themselves. AJ and Howie looked at the girl and were too surprised of the sight she made. But AJ stepped forward and embraced her.
