Chapter 101
Kevin closed the hotel door and watched as Suz went to the bed and plopped down.
"That went much better then I ever anticipated," Kevin said striding over and flopping next to her.
After Kevin and Suz had revealed to the audience and national TV that they were already married, all they heard were a chorus of congratulations.

"You have? How? Who? Huh?" Kevin said baffled.

~End of February~
The boys had started touring the Europe right after Brian's birthday. Every once in a while, Suz would go to join the guys, enjoying their concerts, wondering how lucky she had become. She still continued to work, knowing that she couldn't spend all her time with Kevin. She had to get used to the fact that he wasn't always going to be around 24/7 because of his singing. And she didn't mind it one bit. She liked the build of anticipation of when she'd see him either being surprised by him coming home for only one night, or her flying over to meet them.
Their lovemaking continued to grow stronger each time they became one. Conceiving another baby was something that was in their minds but didn't allow the thought to overrule their lives which had happened to many other couples. With the continued help of Tina, who had become more of a friend to them, often spending time with them, they managed to kept everything into perspective.
~One week after Suz's 26th Birthday~
~Cairo, Egypt~
Suz gazed around at the luxurious and beautiful hotel room. It seemed that every object in the city of Cairo was more breathtaking then the previous. Finally, Suz's gaze landed on the most breathtaking thing in the whole room-her husband. A smile started to grow on her face until she was grinning like a fool who had won the jackpot at Ceaser's Palace in Atlantic City.
Slowly, her thoughts drifted to their wedding a few weeks earlier, in the lovely city of Orlando. With the help of the girls, she had managed to find the most exquisite wedding gown. The flower arrangements were so tranquil and inviting. But most of all, she loved the feel of her first dance with her husband. The wedding was everything she dreamed and more. Plus, Kevin got to meet her parents and sister after all this time.
Kevin cocked an eyebrow watching the expression grow on his wife's face, "What are you thinking of?"
He slowly started taking steps around the room letting his fingers graze each object in the room. He could feel her gaze follow him.
"I'm thinking of 7.5 months from now," Suz replied.
Curiously, Kevin stopped and looked at her, "7.5 months from now? Why?"
"Oh, nothing, just the birth of a baby," Suz said sitting on the bed and lying back against the pillows.
"Birth of a baby?" Kevin asked hesitantly not wanting to think if she was saying was what he was thinking.
Suz tilted her head to one side, "Our baby."
Quickly, Kevin closed his eyes taking a deep breath. He hurriedly crossed the room to lay next to Suz, "Oh my god." He pulled her against him kissing her passionately. His hand traveled down her side coming to rest on her stomach and rubbing gently.
"When? How? What?" Kevin murmured against her lips.
Suz quickly explained how she suspected she was pregnant because she became more hungry and her breasts started to grow slightly bigger and more tender.

"But we have to tell everyone what really happened last time. I can't grow through this pregnancy with them not knowing," Suz said.
"If that is what you want," Kevin urged.
"It is what I want, definitely," Suz said.
Chapter 104
~Later that night~
This one time, all the girls were there with them, including Aaron. And Chrissy, Rachel, and Larry had made the trip to Cairo, courtesy of the guys. So, in all for dinner, there were 15 people, counting AJ's mom who had joined them on the tour once again.
Kevin and Suz had agreed that at dinner they would tell everyone what was happening concerning them. Denise, who Suz had also told what happened after Denise's motherly instincts kicked in and she became a substitute mother for Suz in Florida, offered to take Aaron away from the table during that time. The guys didn't have a concert the first night they were in Cairo, so they were able to enjoy themselves leisurely at dinner.
"So, what are you going to have?" Kevin said leaning over to Suz.
"Well, lets see," Suz said gazing at the menu then back at Kevin again, "Nothing looks as good as you taste."
AJ choked on his water as he heard Suz say this to Kevin.
"You ok there, Bone?" Suz said trying to hold her laughter in.
"I'm sure that he is fine," Nick said laughing lightly.
AJ mumbled something under his breath.
"We've got to get him a woman," Suz whispered to Kevin as everyone started to order.
"Got any ideas?" Kevin whispered back.
"Hell yeah," Suz said, "Someone with the name that begins with T."
Kevin looked over at Suz in interested and smiled.
Quickly, dinner was over and they were ordering dessert. Just as quickly, they were finished dessert.
Nervously, Suz sat there twisting her napkin into tiny pieces.
Various conversations floated over Suz as she listened to the life and joy in everyone's voices. As her gaze landed on Denise, Denise looked up reading Suz's eyes instantly.
"Aaron, do you want to go explore some of the shops with me?" Denise asked him.
"Yeah!" Aaron said jumping up.
"Denise, are you sure you want to?" Nick said looking over.
"Yes," Denise answered looking at Suz.
Nick quickly looked over at Suz seeing something strange in her eyes. Nodding his head yes, Nick watched Denise leave with Aaron.
Taking a few minutes to herself, Suz got up and went into the back gardens while everyone continued to converse. She could feel a presence approach behind her. Turning, she smiled at Nick.
"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Nick said sitting next to her on the stone bench.
She gave a little laugh, "How did you know?"
"Like how I know you are going to have a baby?" Nick also said.
Suz's eyes widened, "Whoa?"
"Didn't I tell you that I'm psychic?" Nick said leaning towards her.
"No"
"Gotcha! I was only kidding," Nick said.
'Whoa, for minute there,' Suz thought.
"Come on," Suz said pulling Nick up. She didn't want him to know just yet that she was pregnant.
Nick stood up looking at Suz. He reached out his hand watching her confidently place it in his. Together, they walked back towards the table.
Chapter 105
"I want to thank you all for gathering here," Kevin said gazing at everyone scattered around the hotel suite, "First, I'd like to say a few things about this tour."
For a few minutes, Kevin commented on the tour with a few comments throw in by various people.
Finally, Kevin cleared his throat garnering everyone's attention again, "There is a reason that I've gathered everyone in here tonight."
Suz proceeded to thank everyone for their support, love, and understanding during the loss of their baby, but there was something they didn't know.
"There was an abnormality with the baby," Suz said as her voice cracked and her head dropped.
Nick pulled Suz against him, cradling her head against his chest. He could hear her soft whimpers vibrate over him. Nick watched Kevin approach and sit on the opposite side of Suz. Nick let his arm go of Suz and she absently shifted towards Kevin who cradled her.
Everyone gasped.
Rachel spoke, "Why didn't you tell us?"
Suz looked down. She knew, inside, why she didn't say anything.
"She didn't want us to pity her...or Kevin," Nick finally spoke up.
"You knew?" AJ asked in disbelief.
"AJ," Howie said placing his hand on AJ's arm. AJ followed Howie's gaze realizing that Nick is who helped Kevin through what had transpired.
"Oh baby, I'm so sorry," Rachel said reaching for Suz...but Suz jerked back and cowered towards Kevin. Kevin looked up at Rachel with a look of understanding.
"What was wrong?" Rachel finally said glancing at Kevin. Too choked up to answer, Kevin nudged Nick allowing him to be the one to tell.
"The baby..." Nick paused trying to gauge the expressions on everyone's face, "The baby hadn't of developed fully."
"Nick, what in the hell do you mean?" Joy said agitated.
"The baby didn't have a sex. OK!? The baby had never developed a sex and would have been born that way," Nick yelled slumping against his chair. After all this time, he still wanted to weep for his friends. He might never understand why this happened to Suz and Kevin but he would accept it.
There was a room of stunned silence. It wasn't what any one of them were expecting to hear.
"But that's not everything," Suz finally said speaking up.
"What is it honey?" Rachel said bending down to Suz's level again.
Suz gazed at her best friend. Slowly, memories of them sharing everything about each other came to the surface. Suz grabbed Rachel's shoulders pulling her towards her. Softly, she whispered something in her ear.
Shocked, Rachel bent back looking Suz in the face. Suz waited, holding her breath, wondering what her reaction was going to be. Suddenly, Rachel pulled Suz into a hug, practically squeezing the breath out of her. Soon, both friends were crying in each other's arms.
Nick and Kevin looked at each other, almost afraid to smile, then look back at Suz and Rachel, then at the rest of the room.
Chapter 106
"Do you care to please tell the rest of us what is going on?" Brian said worried.
In a rush of words, Suz told them what she had told Rachel. She knew that if she took it slowly then she would chicken out. It was now or never.
Suz looked down after she was finished her speech, "I know that some of you hate me right now, especially you, Brian, but we did..."
Brian interrupted Suz, "You thought I'd hate you?"
Suz slowly nodded her head.
"You've thought this whole time, these last few months, that I would hate you?" Brian said cautiously as he looked at Kevin. He saw Kevin glance down realizing that both him and Suz were both thinking the same thing.
"Yes"
"Suz, Kevin..." Brian said walking over to them, "I could never hate you...NEVER! I am your family. If family doesn't understand your choices, who can?"
"Really?" Suz said hesitantly looking up at him.
"Really," Brian replied giving a small smile and clasping one of Kevin's and Suz's hands, "I love you both dearly."
Brian pulled both of them up, fiercely hugging them. Soon, they were joined by everyone in an enormous group hug. They hugged, cried, and smiled realizing how lucky they all were.
Two hours later, Suz glanced up at Kevin, smiling. Both her and Kevin had a realization tonight-just how amazing their friends were. It seemed that Suz had worried for nothing...for they all understood Suz and Kevin's choice. Not one of them spoke ill or became angry. But they still had yet to tell them the news...
Kevin stood up clearing his throat again
"What now, bro?" AJ said through a mouthful of chips.
"AJ, that's disgusting," Lyndsay said trying not to laugh.
"I know," AJ said then opened his mouth wide.
"Damn, AJ, you are starting to become like me," Nick said laughing.
"GUYS!" Suz said aspirated.
"Oops, sorry Suz, what did you want to tell us? Gonna have another baby?" Nick blurted out still kidding.
"Why Nick, yes I am," Suz said looking over at him.
Everyone began talking at once as Nick suddenly jumped up and starting doing what everyone called "Kevin's happy turtle dance."
"No more needles, No more needles, No more needles, No more needles," Nick continued to chant.
"What the fuck did you give the kid?" Kat said.
"Oh my god!" Rachel said sprinting up and ignoring Nick's weird tantrum.
Rachel went to hug her, "Is everything ok?"
Suz pulled away nodding yes, "Everyone, I'm fine..and the baby is fine!"
After another round of hugs, everyone decided to retire for the night.
Chapter 107
Another Easter had come and gone, but it had Suz's first with Kevin. The whole gang had been invited to join the Littrells and Richardsons in an Easter celebration.
Suz had been as fidgety and nervous as ever meeting Kevin's mom and his family. She had obviously talked to Ann over the phone and felt comfortable on the phone with her, but meeting her had been another thing. Nick had reassured her that she would like Ann. It wasn't a matter of Suz liking Ann but Ann accepting Suz.
But Suz's fears had been pushed aside when Ann saw Kevin and Suz step off the plane. Ann had rushed forward and Suz had, of course, assumed that she wanted to see Kevin. But it had shocked her when she had grabbed Suz and hugged her saying, "My precious daughter," over and over again. Immediately, Suz had wrapped her arms around her new mother and cried with happiness.
Suz had cried and laughed some more that day as she meet Brian's parents. She complimented Ann, Jackie, and Harold on raising such wonderful children.
The next few days was spent with everyone enjoying each others' company. Everyone got to meet Lyndsay. They all agreed that it was a perfect match between Nick and Lyndsay. Not once did anyone mention that Nick was too young to know what love was.
On the final night that they were in Lexington, Suz had turned to Kevin asking him to take her to meet his father. He had looked at her in shock, then smiled widely. Not hesitating, Kevin took her to his father's grave. He sat back and watched as she talked to his father...about how wonderful his sons were, especially her husband, how wonderful his wife was and what a great mother she was, how Brian was an excellent nephew, and how he would love all the guys.
That night, Kevin had made love to Suz with such tenderness and gentleness that they had both sobbed with happiness.
~Mid May~
~Last week before the guys come home~
"Come on, Suz! We are waiting to go shopping!" Joy shouted loudly through the sliding glass door.
Suz was sitting on the patio, talking on the cordless phone, to Nick.
"Hold on!" Suz answered back, "They have to go to soundcheck anyways. Just give me a minute."
Joy grumbled as she went back to sit next to Kat.
"Is something wrong, Joy?" Kat asked placing her hand over Joy's.
Joy shook her head violently, "No, no. I'm just in the mood to shop." She turned to Kat, smiling widely...but inside, she was dying. She felt like she wanted to cry at any moment.
Suz walked into the living room, "Are you women ready to shop?"
"I've been ready for an hour," Joy said getting up abruptly and walking out the front door.
Before Suz could ask Kat, Kat was already shrugging her shoulders to say that she didn't know was going on.
The afternoon went quickly as the girls shopped to their hearts content. They were amazed at how much Suz was actually enjoying shopping considering she practically hated it.
So, they were on their way home, ready to start planning the nursery with Suz.
Suz was surprised when she opened the front door and saw Tyke running towards her with Spunky trailing his heals, "Hey, little Frick, how did you get in here?"
"I let him in," Brian said walking out of the kitchen.
"Brian!!!" Suz said hugging him, "Is Ke..."
"Upstairs," Brian said letting go and turning towards Joy and pulling her towards him. Brian looked over at Kat and motioned towards the kitchen. He chuckled as he heard Howie scream from surprise.
Joy and Brian started laughing hysterically as they heard Kevin hit the floor with a thud and moan in pleasure.
"I love you, baby," Brian said burying his head in Joy's hair.
Chapter 108
~One month later~
~Mid June~
The guys were preparing to go on tour in the US shortly. Suz had agreed to come with Kevin on the first leg of the tour because at the end, she'd be too far along to travel around. She was going to travel with them for about a month or more. During that time, at least one of the girls-Joy, Kat, Lyndsay, Rachel and even Tina-were going to accompany her. They were each going to take one week turns.
Suz and Kevin were laughing as they walked into the kitchen. They stopped suddenly as they saw Brian and Joy sitting at opposite ends of the kitchen table. Neither Kevin, nor Suz could read the looks on each of their faces.
"I'll take Brian...You take Joy," Suz said hurrying towards Brian and steering him towards the patio out back.
Kevin gripped Joy's hand and pulled her to the family room.
Within minutes, both Kevin and Suz knew what the problem was.
~Suz&Brian~
"Do you want the baby?" Suz asked Brian pulling his face towards her. She was surprised to see the tears running down his face.
"More then anything," Brian whispered choking on his words.
"Then?"
"I was shocked. She took my shock as rejection," Brian explained burying his head in Suz's shoulder and whimpering.
"Brian, go talk to her. Look what Kevin and I have gone through," Suz urged.
"I'm sorry, Suz," Brian said looking into her eyes.
"What for?" she inquired with a puzzled look.
"I'm being disrespectful. You and Kevin have gone through so much and here I am whimpering about something that is not as bad as it seems," Brian explained.
"Listen, Bri, don't worry about that. You go talk to Joy," Suz said again pushing him towards the patio door.
~Kevin&Joy~
"I'm pregnant, and Brian doesn't want it," Joy said turning her back towards Kevin.
Kevin quickly recovered his composure, "How do you know he doesn't want it?"
"I told him and he didn't say anything," Joy cried as she turned towards Kevin and buried her head in his shoulder.
"Did you give him a chance to process what you just told him?" Kevin said rubbing her back.
"Well," Joy said hesitating, "no...not really. I guess I expected an answer immediately."
"Talk to him," Kevin urged knowing that Suz was telling Brian the same thing.
A few minutes later, Suz and Kevin had Joy and Brian talking together. Soon, they exited the kitchen holding hands and smiling.
They both walked over to Suz and Kevin thanking them and hugging them.
With each passing day, the Backstreet family was becoming bigger and bigger...and it would be bigger then any body could imagine in short while.
Chapter 109
~Beginning of July~
Suz roamed the new tour bus, leaning against the couch and looking outside. Right now, all the guys,and Lyndsay were sleeping and Rachel was in the other room watching Port Charles. Since Suz had nothing to do, she decided to join her.
"So, what's going in PC nowadays?" Suz asked plopping beside Rachel. She absently rubbed her hand over her stomach.
"Well," Rachel said and continued explaining some of what was going on.
Rachel was surprised when she looked over at Suz who was silently crying.
"What's wrong?" Rach asked concerned.
"Huh?"
"You're crying!"
"I am!?" Suz answered surprised.
"Yep," Rachel answered chuckling.
"Oops, sorry, I was just thinking about Stone as you were explaining everything that was going on with this year's Nurse's ball," Suz said, "I guess I'm a tad emotional."
"I'd say," Rachel said as the girls busted up laughing, "I've never seen a weirder pregnant person then you!"
"Why thanks...how am I weird?"
"Well, you like to eat pickles with ice cream. Then, you eat banana and mayo sandwiches, with tomatoes. Also, you only eat butter on your pasta now...not sauce," Rachel rattled off.
"Oh my, I do all that?" Suz asked faking innocence.
"Yes, you do," Kevin said walking into the lounge room looking sexy as ever with his rumpled clothes and messy hair. He strided over to Suz, pulling her up and sitting back down in her spot, pulling her against him. In a few short minutes, he was asleep again.
"I guess he was really tired," Suz said sheepishly.
"I would be too after last night," Nick said going into the room.
"You heard that?" Suz asked as her eyes widened.
"Who didn't?" Rachel laughed, "You are in a closed up bus."
Suz buried her head in embarrassment, "This is too embarrassing."
"Suz, don't worry about it. It is the pregnancy hormones affecting you," Nick said.
"How do you know?" Suz said arching an eyebrow.
"I've been reading up on it," Nick said giving a half smile, "Actually, I've been helping Brian read up on it. I think he's borrowed every book possible from the library on pregnancy. I didn't know he was so interested in your pregnancy but then again, sometimes I can't figure him out!"
Brian and Joy had yet to tell the rest of the gang about their wonderful news. Suz and Kevin were the only ones that were aware.
"You're going to make Lyndsay a wonderful husband one day," Suz said smirking at Nick.
"Husband?" Nick croaked. 'How did she know?' Nick thought.
"Come on, Nick, admit it, you want to marry her," Rachel said.
Before he could answer, Lyndsay walked into the room. Both Suz and Rachel could see Nick's face light up. They had their answer.
Chapter 110
Suz felt the baby moving to the beat of the songs as she stood backstage watching her husband perform. Her gaze lingered over each guy taking in their dedication and love for music.
Rachel watched as Suz threw her head back and laughed at Kevin's goofy turtle dance, as the girls like to refer to it as. The crowd was going wild and all the concerts had sold out. So far, they had started out in Egypt, and had went to numerous countries, finally coming to USA. It warmed her heart that by simply singing the guys could bring joy to many.
"Hey, Rach, come here," Suz said waving her friend over.
"What?" she said coming to stand next to her friend.
"Jesus, look at AJ," Suz laughed, "That man would get naked if he could."
Suz turned to look at Rachel getting a gleam in her eye.
"Oh no, what are you thinking of now?" Rachel said.
For Suz, being pregnant was very becoming to her, but, she came up with the craziest ideas. In one city, Suz had convinced Rachel to drop water balloons on people walking below them on the street. They must have spent a few hours doing that laughing their heads off while the guys were off doing an interview or some TV show. In Texas, she dragged Rachel to try every type of meat possible that they could find. In New York, it was candy. In Maine, it was tea and cakes. Come to think of it, most of Suz's ideas involved food. But then again, when they got to Alabama, Suz ran to the nearest country/western store and bought herself a cowboy hat much like AJ's leopard print ones.
"We need to find AJ a woman," Suz said excitedly.
"Suz," Rachel warned.
"No, no, listen to me," Suz urged, "First of all, I'm tried of hearing those porno movies and him jacking off."
Rachel's eyes widened, "What?"
"Come on, don't you hear him during the night?" Suz paused, "Oh, that is right, you sleep like someone knocked you out cold."
"But Suz, just because he wants sex isn't a reason to go find him someone," Rachel said concerned.
"I know that, but have you ever looked at him when we are all together? He is the only one that isn't a couple...it is just him. I know he tries to hide it but I can see it. I can see a look flash in his eyes when he thinks none of us are looking at him," Suz explained.
Rachel pondered what Suz said as she watched AJ dancing on the stage. Even now, she could see how he loved to perform, but it was like something was lacking. That was all she needed to convince her.
"Ok, what do you have in mind?" Rachel said.
Suz lead her back to Kevin's dressing room and proceeded to tell her what she thought.
