Chapter Seven...

Ami lay flat on her back, staring up at Brian's ceiling.  The smile imprinted 
on her face could not be erased.  He had actually forgiven her.  He had 
kissed her.  She ran her fingers over her own lips in an act of disbelief.  
--Please Lord, don't let me mess this up again...

Six Months Later...

--Hailey!  Please come here.
Hailey continued to run around the room in circles...naked.
--No! No! No! No!
--Hailey, do you want to go see Brian or NOT?
--No clothes!  
Hailey shook her head vigorously
--No clothes, momma.
--YES CLOTHES HAILEY MICHELLE!
Hailey began to giggle.
--Boy, you sure put the fear in her.
Ami jumped.
--Brian!  Help me...please!
--Hailey, come here sweetie.
Hailey went right to Brian.  Within minutes he had her fully clothed and 
watching Blue's Clues on t.v.
--I hate you.  She's my daughter and she does anything you tell her to.
--I uh...sort of have that effect on women, dont'cha think?
Ami rolled her eyes.  
--It would appear that way Mr. Teen Heartthrob.
Brian grabbed Ami around the waist and pulled her to him.  
--You love me and you know it.
--Yeah, I guess so.
--OH!  You GUESS so?
Ami could barely keep her smile hidden.
--Yeah, I suppose you'll do.
--Is that right?
Brian pulled her closer to him and kissed her.
--So, you guess "I'll do?"
Ami only smiled and continued to kiss him.
--MOOOMMMAAA!!
Ami and Brian pulled apart.
--What Hailey?
Hailey stood in front of the two of them, arms crossed.
--You NO kiss Brian.
Brian began to laugh and Ami jokingly glared at him.
--Oh, I do.  I hate your guts.
--Right.  Well, since you hate me SO much, I'll tell AJ and Nick they don't 
have to babysit Princess Hailey tonight and I'll take her out instead.
--Where are we going tonight anyway?
--Well, we were going to my house.  I was going to cook for you.  But, I 
guess me and Hailey will rent a nice Barney movie and order a pizza now.  
Since ya know, her mom hates my guts.
--My child will NOT watch Barney.  
Brian only smiled.
--Be there at eight?
--Yeah, I'll bring all her toys.  You two can make a night of it.  Maybe me 
and Nick can go out or something...I always did think he was cute...
--That's it.  Your no longer allowed in the same room as Carter.
--I'll be there at eight.
Brian smiled and kissed her softly on the cheek.
--I'll see you later.  
Ami nodded.
--Oh and Ami, I bet Hailey would watch Barney if I told her to.
--Get outta here.

That night Ami dropped Hailey off at Nick's house before driving to Brian's.  
She had butterflies in her stomach and her palm's were even sweating.
--I feel like a love sick teenager.

Brian paced back and forth in his living room waiting for Ami.  He jumped 
when the phone rang.
--Hello?
--Bri?
--Yeah Kev, what's up?
--Ami there yet?
--Nah, not yet.
--K, well I just wanted to tell you to calm down.  I bet your pacing the 
floors aren't you?
--NO!  Well...
--She'll say yes man.  Keep your cool.
--Yeah yeah...I'll talk to you later.
Brian hung up the phone and continued pacing until he heard Ami softly knock 
on the front door.  He took a deep breath and went to answer it.
