Thank you for those. --Your welcome. I..I just thought you might like to see her. I'll keep sending them if you like. --Yeah, I'd love that. Another awkward moment followed. There was so much that they both wanted to say but neither could get them out. --How have you been? --Okay, you? --Not too bad. I.. She made herself stop. He didn't care that she missed him. He probably didn't even care to be on the phone with her. --Ami... --Yeah? --I'd like to see you...and Hailey of course. But... Ami tensed up again. Had he really just said he wanted to see her? --But? --I've missed you...both of you. As soon as he had said it he wished he could take it back. It was too soon. Ami began to cry again. --God, Brian, I've missed you too. --YOUR KIDDING? Brian shook his head. --They'll be here tomorrow afternoon. Nick still had the look of complete shock on his face. --Why? I mean, how did this happen? --I called and asked her to come. --WHAT? --I want to see Hailey...and Ami. --Are you sure you want to do this Brian? --Yes. And this time she won't leave. Nick flinched at Brian's words. He was only setting himself up for more heartache and he hated to see his friend build himself up for this. --Brian, is this a good idea...I really...don't think... --Nick, listen alright? He nodded, knowing Brian was going to have his say regardless. --I love her. Okay? I know...it's crazy after what happened. But, the fact that she left, and the hell I've been going thru the last few months...I don't care. If I can get her back, I don't care. I'm not saying that I'm just going to just forgive her instantly and start trying to win her back as soon as she steps off the plane. I've thought about this alot, and I know...that things are not going to get any better as long as she's there and I'm here. I *need* her. And I don't intend to let her walk out of my life again...not ever. --I just don't want to see you get hurt again, Brian. You may be ready to forgive, forget and move on to this new life you have planned...but is she? She left already once man, can you take it if she does again? Brian stood up to make his way out of the room. --She won't. Not this time. Brian paced nervously back and forth in the airport terminal. Kevin couldn't help but laugh. --How much caffeine did you have this morning? Brian looked puzzled. --None, why? --Brian, sit down. Your making *me* nervous. --Nervous? I'm not nervous. --Right. They both looked up as they noticed the plane pulling into the hanger. --Okay, yeah...I'm...I'm a little nervous. --Are you ready baby girl? --Uh huh. Ami gathered Hailey and her things from the plane and made her way towards the exit. Her stomach was a bundle of nerves and she felt a bit light headed. Brian looked up as soon as she stepped into the terminal. Ami stopped in mid-step when she saw him. Her heart began to beat faster and she was sure everyone around her could hear it. She finally managed to find the feeling in her feet again and continued to make her way towards Brian and Kevin.
