According to Seventeen.Com and Allstar, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean is supposedly set to marry his girlfriend, Amanda Latona, on July 4th. The news isn't confirmed by an official Backstreet Boys spokesperson so don't fret. This could be another rumor surfacing one again.
According to The Carter Connection, the Carter family's offical site, Great Grandma Theresa Phillips Spauling passed away quietly at breakfast on the morning of Thursday, April 13, 2000, at 8:25am. She was with her friends when she died, and a wonderful, kind, gentle soul this women was with friends, family, and all people alike. Everyone will miss her greatly. MTV.Com has some news on 13 year old Leslie Carter, who is younger sister of Nick and Aaron Carter. She will be following in her big brother's footsteps recording her debut album due out sometime this year. There are many talented writers and producers who will be taking part on this album, including Backstreet Boys' guitarist Bill Chapin, Brad Young and Dow Brian who worked on LFO's hit single "Summer Girls," as well as Diane Warren, who has written for Celine Dion, Aerosmith, and most recently, N Sync. "I Want To Hear It From You" is Leslie's first single, making it's debut June 6, which is also her 14th birthday.
Fatima Robinson, the Backstreet Boys' choreographer, who's choreographed dances from their recent "Into The Millennium" tour, as well as for the Boys' videos "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and "As Long As You Love Me" among others. According to Fatima's website at GoFatima.Com, she is featured as one of the dancers in Aaliyah's latest video, "Try Again," which is featured on the "Romeo Must Die" soundtrack. If you look closely in Aaliyah's video, you can see Fatima dancing in the background on the left. Fatima is currently choreographing Jessica Simpson's upcoming Disney special in Los Angeles.
Backstreet Boys Win Kid's Choice Awards The 13th Annual Kid's Choice Awards were held yesterday (April 15). The Backstreet Boys won Favorite Musical Group. The Boys reportedly did attend the awards show though. Congratulations Boys! Other winners included Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Smashmouth, Jennifer Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart among others. Performers included Jennifer Lopez, N Sync, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Other attendants included Robert DeNiro, Mel Gibson, Rider Strong, 98 Degrees, LFO, Carly Pope and Julia Louis-Dreyfus among others.
VH1's Men Strike Back special was taped recently. Among the performers who attended were Enrique Iglesias, Sting, Backstreet Boys, Tom Jones, D'Angelo, Sisqo, and special guest Christina Aguilera. The concert proved to be a sucess, with the chart-topping performers, even a Backstreet Boys duet with Sting singing "I Want It That Way."
