"What are you doing here?" Nick said, as he started getting up from the sand.
"I came here to explain" Yvette replied, running her hand through her long brown hair. Boy, this was going to be hard. As she saw that Nick was getting up, she grabbed his hand, as he got it out of her grasp.
"Explain what? What I just saw? That you were in bed with my best friend?"Nick answered in a rage. The questions were driving him crazy.
"We didn't do anything" Yvette responded closing her eyes.
"Bullshit, Yvette! What I saw was enough and I think that the little note that I left said it all. I never want to see you again. You betrayed me in the worst way. I could never forgive you for that"
Yvette got closer to him and with the same tranquility she talked before, she spoke again. "What about Ashley?"
Nick's face paled as he stepped away from her. "We didn't do anything" he stuttered, looking down at the sand.
"Mom told me, and I really didn't want to bring it up with you. I was okay with the fact that you made a mistake and that you weren't the one who kissed her. I'm aware that she was the one who kissed you. What about that?"
"You said it all… I didn't participate in it... unlike you" he finally said, narrowing his eyes at her. She was getting on his nerves and he was controlling every part of him so, that he wouldn't do anything that he was going to regret.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I didn't do a thing with AJ! Yes, I was drunk, but we were clothed in the morning...If I would've done something, we would be naked under the covers..."
"Why were you shirtless then?"
She sighed, knowing that the question, sooner or later was about to come. "I don't know" she whispered as she got closer to him and held his hand. This time he didn't back up. "All I know is, that I didn't do anything… I'm really sorry for what you saw, but it wasn't what you thought it was"
"Yvette, I don't want to remember what I saw" he yelled. "I can't forgive you for something I SAW"
Tears started welling up in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Nicky… I love you"
"Don't `Nicky' me and don't tell me that you love me, when you don't mean it"
"What's going on here?"
As soon as they heard the voice coming from behind them, they turned around and saw AJ standing there, waiting for an explanation. Nick's face turned red, as he started going towards AJ with every intention of kicking his ass.
"Why the fuck did you sleep with my wife? Couldn't you respect the fact that she was mine?!? Honestly, I didn't expect that from you...You betrayed me, AJ"
"Look dude, it's not what you think… I didn't have sex with her"
Nick shook his head and narrowed his eyes at him and then at her. Yvette closed her eyes and got closer to him. "Baby, just reconsider...I know you're going to need time but… please… I can't lose you" she cried.
"Well, looks like it's too late now" Nick replied coldly, as he started walking back to the house.
That was when Yvette finally broke down. She sat on a rock nearby and covered her head in her hands, as she cried. AJ went towards her and took her in his arms. Yvette looked up at him and got out of his grasp.
"I need to be alone...Please, just leave me alone" she whispered ,as he nodded ,leaving her alone for a while.

AJ sighed and went back to the house, finding Nick outside with all the clothes that he had there.
"What the hell are you doing?" AJ questioned, pointing to all his things.
"What does it look like I'm doing?"
"Nick, you can't leave her like that"
Finally, Nick threw his things in the trunk of the car and closed it. He turned around and faced AJ. "Watch me"
"Don't be so fucking immature"
"So fucking immature? I think I did things the right way. I got married to her and had sex with her...unlike you" he said, narrowing his eyes at AJ.
"I didn't have sex with her!"
Nick ran his hands through his hair and looked at him. "I don't want to talk about it right now...She's all yours" he said, shaking his head in denial. "You wanted her, now you have her" he finished, getting into the car and leaving.
AJ stood there in shock. He never believed that Nick could be like that. Yes, he had to admit that he had a crush on Yvette, when they first met, but he respected her beyond belief and he respected their relationship. It was not his place to talk about that. AJ went back to the beach to see how Yvette was doing. She was still crying, hugging herself.
"He left" AJ said, as she looked up. As soon as she heard that, she started crying harder.
"Sweetie, he'll come around...He's not going to be mad at you forever" he replied, stroking her hair.
"It's not that AJ...You know, I can't be mad at him… I couldn't be mad at him, when he kissed Ashley"
AJ looked at her in awe. "He what?"
Yvette told him the story. "I'm sorry" AJ finally responded.
"It's okay… I'm not mad at him for that...I have to call him" she said, running back to the house and picking up the phone.
"What the hell do you want?" she heard on the other line.
"I'm not going to tell you to come back, cause I know that you're not going to...I just want you to think things over and be sure of everything before you make a major decision. I don't want to get divorced from you. I love you with all my heart"
"Yvette, we went through this already...You don't love me, shit. If you would have loved me, you wouldn't be sleeping around with every one of my best friends!"
Yvette was clearly stunned at what she heard. "Is that what you really think of me?" she barely whispered.
"I want the divorce, Yvette… I don't want to see you ever again" he finally replied, hanging up.
Yvette sighed softly, as she picked up the phone again and called her Mom.
"It's over mom"
"What do you mean it's over?" her mother asked.
"Nick and I broke up. I'm going back to Puerto Rico with you...I want to start over" she responded, grabbing her things and putting them inside a suitcase.
