Charles had gone to work early, so Nick was making his own breakfast.
It was his first day of school and he could only hope no one would recognize him from TV.
After finding the body and calling the police, his life had turned into a temporary media frenzy. The body of Angela Stephen had finally been found after 41 years. It was bound to make the local news.
The one question he was asked was how he knew the body was there?
"My room always had a bad smell, so when I decided to pinpoint where it was coming from I found it was from inside the wall. I thought it might be some dead rats or some dead animal... I started tearing the wall open and what I found was the body." That's what he told all the reporters.
.--.--.--.--.--.
He walked into his 1st period class. Some people did recognize him... he could hear the sound of whispering.
After class a girl walked up to him. "Hey aren't you that guy who like found like that dead body in like his room.
"Yeah, I am."
"Like that is so awesome... is like your house haunted and stuff... did you see ghosts?"
"No." He lied, but he hadn't seen anything since he found the body... and he hoped he'd never had to see any again.
