I looked outside to see Mandy standing there. What a sight! Her long blonde hair was a tangled mess, her clothes were wrinkled from head to foot, and her eyes were blood shot red as if she had been crying all night. "I’m here to see you Nick; I love you" she softly said.

"No," said Nick, "I’m sorry but it’s over."

And with that, Mandy burst into a complete rage. "NOOOOOO!!" she screamed, "We belong together Nick!" Nick looked back at me with a look of fear in his eyes. Mandy suddenly turned and looked at me, "You!" she breathed, "You’re the reason why Nick dumped me, it’s all your fault!" And with that, she lunged towards me like an animal attacking it’s prey. I jumped back but Nick grabbed Mandy before she could lay a finger on me.

"Let me go Nick!!" she screamed.

Nick pushed her aside, "Mandy, stop it!! I didn’t break up with you because of Jen, she had nothing to do with it!"

Mandy lowered her eyes and stood there, silent as a mouse. Nick and I both looked at her, waiting for a response. She finally looked up and slowly said, "If I can’t have you.... no one can!" As she said that, she began to pull something out of her purse. I saw the shimmer of a gun; and without thinking, I yelled as loud as I could. "Good-bye Nick!" Mandy said softly; and with that, she pointed it towards Nick’s chest, and pulled the trigger.
