As I stand at Brian's door, I hope he can give me some advice on my situation.

"Hey man, what's up?" when he opens the door

"Hey, nothing much. You bored or something?"

"What? I can't drop and see you without being bored?"

"Well?… nah.. I was kiddin'... so what's up?"

"I need some advice and I'm sorry if it sounds a little insensitive; what with your girl being so far away"

No, it's fine.. We’re alright.. So what’s on your mind?”

"Uh, I haven't been able to go on a date with anyone since I went out with Natalie"

“What do you mean you haven't been able to? Did something happen between you two or it is something else? "

"Well, we kissed and ya know I thought it might be the start of something new and she's been with someone else for over two months"

"Well, she apparently didn't share the same feeling then. But it was only one date right?”

"Yeah...I'm bummed though, I really like her and I'm trying my hardest to not let my feelings show and be her friend but it's hard"

"Yeah, its hard and you wanna be that guy. But you may have to learn to accept her decision to be with someone else and move on, because you might be waiting around for nothing and be totally disappointed and have lost out on so many people."

“Tell me something Brian. If it had been Charlie, if you guys had had a great date and the most amazing kiss, would you stand back and let some other guy take her away?"

"No, no I wouldn't.. But you apparently let this go on for what did you say, 2 months?"

"Yeah, I did and more fool me because I thought I'd stop thinking about her and I've decided that I have to do something about it...I have to tell her"

"And when do you plan on doing this?"

"Tomorrow...I'm gonna tell her tomorrow, at least if she shoots me down, I know I've given it a shot"

"You don't sound too convincing bud... but I wish you the best of luck"
