Ring, ring

I could hear my phone ringing but trying to find it in the midst of my bogged down purse was impossible...

Finally I found it and answered a little frantic. "Hello"

"Hi...umm, Natalie?" a little uncertain

"Yes, this is her.." wondering who the male voice was on the other end of the line. It didn't sound familiar.

"It's Ben...We met a few days ago. How are you?"

"Oh yeah.. I'm doin' good and you?"

"I'm good thank you...I was wondering what you had planned for the day"

"Umm.. I don't know.. nothing that I know of.. We just got in actually.

"Ah right well would you like to come paint-balling?"

"Never been. but sure, I'll go. Sounds like fun"

“Fantastic...where do you live cause I can pick you up"

After telling him where I lived, I hung up the phone slowly and with a big grin

As Natalie gets off the phone, I eye her suspiciously

"Oooh was that Nicky?" I tease

"No... someone you wouldn't think of"

"OMG...you have have to tell me"

"How could I forget? Shane is gorgeous"

"Well.. Ben jsut asked me to go paint-balling with him"

"Oh interesting...You're gonna go right?"

"Of course I don't...go and have fun"

"Thanks" and went to go sit out on the porch swing to watch for Ben.

Seeing Ben pulling in the driveway, I went to meet him half way. He greeted me with a brief hug.

"You look great...Oh and good idea about putting your hair up, we're gonna get messy"

"Alright... Let's get down and dirty then" with a slight giggle

"Well I was gonna save that for our second date" I tease

"I'm sure you're creative, you'll think of something" smiling

The drive there was filled with interesting and amusing conversation. He had a great sense of humor and could really make me laugh. I could tell that we would have a great time.

When we arrive we are handed special suits and protective goggles and once we are kitted out they give us our pellet containers and tell us to have fun. this particular layout was unfamiliar to me, it had a jungle theme and Shane had recommended it to me.

"Ready?" I ask as she giggles at the sight of me in the goggles

"Ready as I'll ever be I guess..."

As fate would have it we were placed on opposite teams.

This could be fun... I thought to myself

My first shot splatters blue across Natalie's stomach and I give her a sheepish grin as she throws a green ball right at my shoulder and sticks her tongue out at me

This was so much fun. I had just nailed Ben in the shoulder and as I turned around, I happened to miss a shot. Quickly grabbing another ball, I ran across the platform and nailed some woman in the back . She had no idea it was coming, which was even more funny. But then her husband came up and got me in the shoulder as I turned around. It was so fun. I had several misses as I crossed back over to the other side. But oh well, you can't win them all... But I certainly had to nail Ben one. As I snuck up on him, I couldn't help but laugh to myself. and as he turned around I nailed him right in the chest with bring yellow , which had splattered across his face as well. I couldn't help but burst out laughing and then running like a bat out of hell, for I knew what was coming my way.

“Oh you'll pay for that" I tease as I throw an orange at her back and it covers most of her head her next one hits me in the cheek so now my face is half yellow and half pink

Nice hit I thought to myself.

"Yellow and pink suit you..." I teased before laughing and running behind a tree in the near distance.

“Says the girl who has to hide behind a tree" I reply attempting to grab her hand. Our hands graze and a spark flies between us

As our hands grazed each other, I felt this spark of electricity run through me. It was a weird feeling, yet quite nice. I slowed down and turn towards him, not knowing if he had felt it too.

I gave her a small smile to reassure her I had definitely felt it, I leaned in and gently brushed her lips with mine.

His smile was so cute but in an instant his lips were on mine. I knew instantly that he had definitely felt what I had. I had never felt that instant spark with anyone else. Somewhere within told me that I should be with this guy. I couldn't deny it... He was pretty great... and with that, I returned his kiss.

I pulled her closer and whispered "That was better than I had imagined. You're sexy even when covered in paint"

" Really… Well thank you... and so do you" secretly taking a paint ball and getting him right on the top of his head, giggling

Deciding how to get her back I smile slyly, I reached for my last pellet and splattered it across her butt

"Revenge is so sweet" I say innocently and quickly kiss her again before we start walking back hand in hand

As he relished in his last victory, I playfully pushed him away but he pulled me back for a quick kiss. I felt like I was on a cloud as we walk hand in hand back to the building to change.

After we showered and changed, fortunately the paint came off rather easily, it was time to go. I'd had an amazing afternoon with her and didn't wanna leave her but I had to get to work

The drive back was full of paint-ball stories and it was such a relaxed atmosphere. I pulled up outside her house

"I had such a fantastic time. You put up a good fight...We're definitely gonna go again"

"Me too... I think I did alright for a first timer... I promise next time will be better... so watch out. ... " giggling.

"So you'll let me take you out again?"

"What do you mean, let you? I'm not that intimidating am I? " giggling.

Getting serious, "I would love to go out with you again. "

"Great..I'll give you a call cause I want get you know better" I tell her and lean in and kiss her softly

After his soft kiss, I briefly looked into his brown eyes and got out of the car and headed inside
