Brian and I stand at the door; me anxiously holding a couple of rented dvd's as he rings the bell

As I hang up the phone, I went to the fridge and tried to decide on what we could have for dinner. Charlie was going to be home in like 10 mins, so instead I decided to scrap that and thought about ordering pizza. As I went to look up the number, the doorbell rang. Why the hell doesn't she use her key? Oh well... maybe she's got her hands full... I thought as I open the door. But I got a different welcoming than I had anticipated
"Umm... hi guys. "
"hi" i say a little shyly
"Are you guys here to see Charlie? She's not back from school but you're more than welcome to come and chill for a while." leading them in.. "How have you guys been?"
"Oh, she invited us for the evening...did she not tell you? We're gonna watch movies and order pizza. She said you'd be here too" I tell her, taking in how beautiful she was
"No, she, she did not. But hey, it doesn't matter. I was actually thinking about ordering some pizza anyways. But a night just chillin sounds great.. so how 'bout it? What kind of pizza do you guys like?�
�I guess any would be fine but are you sure we're not imposing on you?" I ask as nick glares at me
"Oh no, not at all... I just finished up a really busy week at work and I actually could use a night like tongiht. So... what about sausage and pepperoni?"
"Sure sounds great" and Nick mouths thank you to me
I went back into the kitchen to grab the cordless and called in the pizza and went back into the living room and plopped into the oversized chair.
"Oh not too much. Been writing a couple of songs and playing some b-ball whilst Brian makes out with his girl at every opportunity"
" Well from what I hear, he's pretty good" laughing
"Well, she's told me a different story" i say chuckling
As they turn to me, I can feel my cheeks turn a bright red. I can't believe that we are talking about this... I will get Charlie for it later...

As I put my key in the lock, I know I'm gonna get it for being late and I know we had some clearing up to do before the guys arrived. I push open the door. "Hey Natalie, I'm home"
"Hey, in here..."
I smile and walk into the lounge, when I stop dead in my tracks. "Oh...Hey, Nick and Brian are here"
"Ummm, yeah... something about a movie night? Ring a bell?"
"Yeah, I told you...Oh no, I didn't...I'm so sorry"
"Well, you should have.." trying to say it in a serious tone but not able to pull it off. " I don't care... We're having fun anyways... Embarrasing your poor boyfriend"
"Well, don't stop then" I tease and go into the kitchen to mix some drinks
" Gee, thanks, babe" yelling back at her
"Well Nick, you know, I have heard plenty of things about you. But then I would have a whole book for that. Right bro?"
"Now, now Brian, play nicely...blondie's just jealous" I come back in carrying 2 beers and 2 cocktails. I pass Nick one beer. "Right, Nick?"
I pass Natalie a cocktail and Brian the other beer before settling down beside him and resting my head on his shoulder.
I glare at Charlie...I knew she was only teasing me but still..."Oh, it's definitely jealously" I say scarcastically �...What with you guys acting like love sick puppies"
"What?... It's sweet... " turning to Nick and getting up and going over to him and grabbing his arm in mine. "You mean you don't like girls cuddling all over you and batting their eyes and saying how much they love you" in a playful tone
The moment her arm touches mine, I get a shiver...oh damn...I thought. Out of the corner of my eye, I see brian and charlie trying to surpress their laughter as I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks "Uh...well...uh" I start to say "It has to be a girl that I'm really into and who's really into me" I stutter
"Like who Nick? Anyone in particular?"
Shooting her a dagger look, "Well, put it this way, if there was anyone I was interested in, then I wouldn't be here now"
"So you say"
I could tell that something might be going on between the two of them, but I didn't give it much thought because the doorbell rang. "Pizza's here" going into the kitchen and grabbing the money off the counter. Coming back in to the room with the pizza hoisted up on my hand. I walk over the boys' legs and lay the pizza in front of them. "Dinner is now served"
I detangle myself from Brian so that he can eat and I go to make more cocktails. Moments later, I come back into the lounge. "Anyone up for twister?" I ask with a grin
"Sure, I guess I'll play if Brian plays"
"Oh?..Is that how it is? Well, I'll have to go get tangled up with Nick then won't I?"
"The hell you will woman" pulling her to me
I playfully slap his hands away. "We're not playing yet"
"Oh, come, on you guys, Let's just play"
"I'm spinning first" Nick claims as he grab the box on the floor and open the sheet out. He spins the wheel and it lands on left hand green. He then passes the spinner to Natalie before taking his position
I reach over and spin; landin on right hand green. It was starting pretty simple, which was great. I didn't particularly want to fall right off the bat. So I pushed the spinner to Charlie
Charlie spins right foot yellow and shuffles over to the other side of the mat...then she passes the spinner to Brian, sticking her tongue out.
If she thought that she was going to pull something on me, she has another thing coming. "Well" sticking my tongue out at her "to you, too" Brian said smiling, giving the spinner a big spin. Finally it landed on right hand red. As he reached over to put his hand there, he lean against Charlie�s hip.
Nick spins the wheel again and land right foot blue. It's a little hard to manuever but he manages it
I take a spin and it lands on left foot yellow. So now I am face to face with Nick.
"Hi" he says a little shyly
Charlie reaches down and grabs the spinner and gets right hand yellow...talk about tricky
Brian then has to stretch a little to reach the spinner. The pointer lands on left foot blue.
"Oh gee, this image is gonna haunt me now" Charlie teases
"Well, I'd much rather look at yours though" Brian retorts
"Save it for the bedroom" Nick retorts and Brian chucks the spinner at him. It lands on right hand yellow. As he places his hand, he's almost crouching down in front of Natalie
Leaning over to spin, I end up landing on Right foot blue. Which in fact, would put me in a very provocative position.
"Damn" Nick whispers to himself, hoping she wouldn't hear him
"Yeah, you better not be getting any ideas.. boy"
"Too late" he mutters
Charlie grabs the spinner and it lands left hand blue. Oh gee, the only place she can put it is under Brian. Fantastic... she thinks to herself
Seeing the Charlie is right under, Brian couldn't help but get an image of them together. It was hot but he knew that it would be a long time before that could happen. Then, he carefully spins and it lands on right foot yellow. Oh god... This is crazy.
"Guys.. you do know how bad this probably looks right now?"
"I think it looks pretty hot...can I trade places with you?"Nick asks
"Hell no, just spin�
"Damn...maybe next time Nick" Charlie replys
"I'll hold you too that" Nick replys with a smirk as he spins.
It lands left hand yellow, and at first he stumbles a little, very aware of the fact that Natalie is under him and their faces are inches apart...he blushs.
As his face becomes within inches of mine, I feel quite nervous. I could see that he too was a little nervous, yet I was seriuosly hoping that he wouldn't make a move. But as I looked up at him, his eyes were the brightest blue that I had ever seen. I tore my gaze away to spin. It lands on left hand green. Thank god.. because I was dyin�
"Hey...you're still here. By the way, you look good" Nick smirks
Barely, I might add. I was hoping for something because I didn't know how much longer I could support myself on one hand. "Thank you" giving him a smile
"You're...you're...uhh...ummm...welcome" he manage to say
Charlie spins and gets left foot blue. uh oh...I have to hook my leg over Brian's...She blushes as she tries with difficulty to do that.
I had to laugh as Charlie tried to maneuver around me. I can't say that I didn't enjoy having her wrapped around me. But I also knew that it might not last long as it was my turn to spin. � I could get used to this everyday, couldn't you?" Brian tempts
"Oh yeah" Charlie replys sarcastically "But maybe in something a little more comfortable"
Giving her a smile, upside down, Brian comes up and reaches to spin. So it becomes left hand yellow. oh this is nice.. more comfortbale but still sensually stimulating
As Nick manages to spin, he gets left foot yellow. omg..As he reaches to move, he loses his grip and falls but he accidentally gets tangled with Natalie and she falls with him. Now he's very aware that he's holding onto her
"I didn't hurt you did I?" Nick asks concerned
"No, just took me a little by surprise, but thanks for cushioning my fall"
"I'd always try and save you" Nick says quietly
"I bet you would. But, you forgot to save yourself" laughing
"You were totally worth it though"
"Oh, just ask her out already" Charlie whines
�Charlie!�I scream, blushing a little
"Oh my god...ummm...Charlie, I'm gonna kill you..I...uhh..." Nick stutters
"Just ignore her... " letting out a giggle, Making light of the situation, knowing that both of us were feeling a bit awkward at the moment. "Let me help you up" touching his leg to help get me up
"Uhh...thanks" he manages and we help each other up
"Let's just see how you fair, miss matchmaker. Spin"
"Oh no, you guys are more fun to watch" Charlie teases
"Well, the show is over and you can move on"
Charlie spins and gets left hand red
Uhhh, I think I'm gonna have a problem" she says
"What's wrong babe" Brian asks
"Well, I've gotta place my hand on red, which means I gotta go under your leg now"
"Alright, just be careful"
As she is pretty much hugging my left leg, I find myself unable to spin. "Yeah, dude, can you spin for me?" Brian asks Nick
"Ok" Nick spins for him and he gets right hand blue. "Right hand blue, but no groping Charlie"
"Shut up.. She's my girlfriend, so can do whatever I want to her"
"Carry on talking like that and you won't have a girlfriend for much longer" Charlie teases �Anyway, I need to get up"
" No, you spin first.. There�s no cheating now�� Brian scolds
As Charlie spins, it lands right foot green. "Nah uh, I cannot do that" she says as she trys to stretch her leg but slips
As Charlie slips and falls, I can feel myself falling with her and I can't help it. I knew that I would probably be falling on her but I tried to avoid it as much as possible. I fell against her side and rolled off to lay beside her. "Are you okay, sweetheart? "
"Yeah, I'm ok" she reply sitting up
"Better luck next time Nicky" Brian chides
"Yeah whatever...how about that movie?" Nick replys
"Well, what did you guys bring?"
"We brought Swat. if you like action"
"Never mind the action, Colin Farrell's gorgeous" Charlie gushes
�Hey, I'm right here... So, what I'm just mediocre then uh?" teasing
"Well, I wouldn't kick him out of bed"
"OH!..." Nick yells
"And you would me?" Brian says
"Will you stop taking everything so seriously? I was kidding" I say and move over to the bean bag chair and slump into it
"I'm not..." moving over to her,. "Baby, I'm sorry" kissing her cheek
With Charlie and Brian settled in the chair together, I sit on the couch and Natalie sits at the other end. I get up and slide the disc into the player and when I get back to the couch, I sit next to Natalie.
As Nick sits next to me, I feel a little awkward yet nervous. I didn't know what his intentions were, but we were still friends despite everything that has happended between us. As the movie started, I settled in and tucked my feet under me. My toes lightly brushed his thigh. "Sorry" I mutter softly with a weak smile
"That's what my thigh is there for" I joke trying to play it cool
With the movie in full swing, we all become relaxed. The guys were sparatically yelling at the TV. I turn to Nick. " You know.. uh.. they can't hear you.."
"Sure they can...watch" I turn to the TV. "Throw him against the mirror" and the guy holding Colin Farrell did just that. "See, I told ya" I state innocently
"Right..." Laughing "Nice try... I think someone has watched this before.."
"Nope" I protest..."Never seen it before" before breaking into a grin
"Whatever, show off" lightly hitting him in the arm
"Hey!" I pretend that it hurt...I grab a cushion and playfully smack her thigh with it
"Now was that called for?" with a giggle
"I think it was" stick out my tongue
" You better put that tongue away, unless you plan on using it�
"Is that an invitation?" I ask, as my heart beats faster
"Umm.. that is for me to know and for you to figure out"
"Well...would you like to help me figure it out?"
�Maybe in your dreams..."
"Well, why don't you ask me tomorrow and I'll let you know"
I just roll my eyes at him at laugh..
"Could you be any more obvious?" turning to Natalie. "Nat, Nick has a crush on you"
As I look at her, my smile fades. Then I turn and look at him. "Do you still have feelings for me?"
"Will you be pissed at me if I was honest and said yes"
Shocked by his response. I just sat there staring at him. I couldn't believe that after all this time, that he still had feelings. I would have thought that he would have moved on right after I told him that I didn't return his feelings. "I'm not mad, I just... I'm just suprised.."
"That's better than being mad" my heart sank a little though. She didn't like me in that way. I could tell. Maybe it was time to try and move on.
I could tell that he was a little disappointed. I hated hurting him again. But I had to stay true to myself. "You know what, can we talk in the kitchen for a second?"
"uhh sure, I guess so" I say shrugging my shoulders at Brian
I walk into the kitchen and sit up on the counter. "Nick, first of all, I'm sorry that they are putting you on the spot. I am sure that's not what you came here for. Second of all, I really am surprised that you haven't moved on. I'm actallly rather flattered. I don't mean to make you uncormfortable or anything. I just... "
"It's just that this is totally unexpected for you and you're not in a place to deal with it right?"
"Kind of..."
"Ok, if we carry on like this we'll always be dancing in the same circles. I LIKE you. You're gorgeous, kind, caring and ya know what? You like me cause you allowed yourself to flirt a little tonight, so lets turn it into something good"
"Like what are you proposing?"
"This" I tell her, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards me and brushing my lips against hers.
I'm surprised yet not too surprsed by his sudden actions. As his soft lips touch mine, I can feel his warmth and gentleness and even his eagerness with which we wants to win me over. I wasn't sure if I wanted to deluve into another relationship but then I also didn't know if there were actual feelings there. I know we had tried one time, but was I just scared then or something else. I didn't want to hurt him again and for me, I guess I just had to kiss him back to find out if I really do feel anything at all. It was only fair right? As his lips brush back against mine, I lean up a bit more and return his kiss
"Is this just a game to you" I ask carefully, pulling away after a few moments
"What? no... " taking a breath. "I'm sorry if I am confusing you, I don't mean to. And I'm not trying to play games.. I just need to find out for myself what I really feel. "
"That's ok...lets keep this between ourselves for the moment so you can have time to figure things out"
"So, how have you guys been? Anything interesting happen?"
"Well, that's for me to know and you'll just have to suffer" making a face
"Well Hello, there" with a playful smile
