Brian was at dinner with his girlfriend, Kari Summers. She was part of a group called Forever Love. The other members were, Jessica Lavent and Julie Connors. They were on tour with the Backstreet Boys. Nick and Jessica were dating. Julie and A.J. tried to date, but they couldn't seem to get along.
"Kari?" Brian said.
"Yes?"
"Are you happy with this relationship?"
"Of course. Why do you ask?"
"I just wanna make sure. If I need to do something more, I have to know."
"Everything's perfect," she said.
Jessica waited for the rest of the guys. Nick, Howie, and Kevin. A.J. wasn't there. He was off with Julie. The guys got stopped by some fans and they were signing autographs. All this was happening at a restaurant where they had went for dinner. Jessica was sitting at a table. The guys, except Nick, joined her. He was still talking to a fan. Jessica thought they looked kind of close.
"What is he doing?" she asked Howie and Kevin.
Just then, Brian and Kari walked in and sat down with them.
"What's wrong, Jessica?" Brian asked her.
"That!" she pointed to where Nick was standing up against the wall talking to the girl.
"Nick's, gonna be in trouble!" Brian joked.
"It's not funny Brian!" Jessica got out of her seat, walked over to Nick and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Oh, hey!" he said to her. Then, he said good-bye to the girl and turned to Jessica. "What's up sweetie?" he said. Nick tried to put his arm around her, but she pulled away.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Were you just going to leave me alone all nght while you were flirting with her?"
"I wasn't flirting with her," he said.
"Oh, yes you were! I saw what you were doing." she said.
"Don't you think you are overreating?"
"Maybe just a little," she said and smiled. "I'm sorry."
The girl that he had been talking to before, came back over to them and said to Nick, "I'll try to call you as soon as I can, Nick." The she left.
"That's it!" Jessica said, "I cannot believe you gave her your phone number!"
"Well, it's not like anything is going on."
"I cannot trust you," she said.
"Well, if you can't trust me, then why are we together?"
"Sometimes I wonder that too."
"Well, let's save each other the worry and quit this."
"Fine."
"Fine." Nick started to walk off.
"I don't need you anyway!" she yelled after him.
She left the restaurant and drove herself to the house that the BSB and Forever Love shared while they were on tour. But, as of now, they had a two week vacation. Jessica went straight to bed. As if it would take away all the pain of her loss and maybe she would wake up to a better day.
