Shooting the video sucked. Normally, I would have loved it, but all I could think about was Jen.
Finally, I walked out of the airport and jumped in the limo that would take me to my house. I was in a great mood. I was finally going home and Jen and I could begin to plan the wedding.
We got to my house and the driver began taking my luggage out. I walked in the house. I knew Jen, Angel, and Leslie were the only ones home.
"Jen?" I yelled with a big smile on my face. She came running down the stairs and jumped in my arms. I kissed her passionately. She wrapped her arms and legs around my body. I carried her upstairs to Angel's room. They were listening to music. I walked over and kissed Angel and Leslie on the top of the head. I was so glad that I was home.
*****Jen's POV****
I was so glad Nick was home. Later that night, we ordered pizza. Angel and Leslie were playing games in Nick's room and Nick and I were sitting in the kitchen waiting for the pizza to arrive. Nick seemed very distant. I wondered what happened in LA.
"So, what happened in LA?" I asked him.
"What do you mean?" he asked, suddenly very serious.
"Well, you just seem really distant," I said.
"Nothing," he said smiling.
"Something's wrong. I know you, Nick. Does it have to do with the engagement?" I asked, sounding worried.
"No," he said getting up and coming over to me. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. At that moment, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Nick yelled and ran to the door. "Pizza's here," he yelled again. The girls ran downstairs and trampled into the kitchen. After everyone had pizza, the girls went back upstairs and Nick and I were left in the kitchen again.
"Are you sure there's nothing we need to talk about?" I asked.
"No. Now drop it, Jen," he said and left the kitchen.
*****The Next Day*****
The next day, Brian and AJ came over. All my worries about LA were explained. Nick and AJ were up in Nick's room and Brian and I were fixing cookies with Angel. Leslie had gone to a friend's house for the day. I walked up the stairs and I was about to knock on the door when I started to eavesdrop.
"Nick, you've got to tell her what happened," said AJ.
"It's nothing big. Nothing happened," Nick said complaining.
"Look. I don't know exactly what happened. I don't know if you slept with her or not. And I know you probably didn't. But, start off by telling Jen the truth. Then, she'll have no reason not to believe you," he said, resting his peace. I hesitantly opened the door.
"Is there something I should know about?" I asked looking between them.
"Look, in LA I came across an old girlfriend of mine..."
"And I came in the room and she..."
"Bone, get out," Nick said.
"I think that's a good idea. Good luck," he said and ran out of the room.
"Anyways, just let me explain. I saw one of my old girlfriends in LA. Yes, I think she's very pretty. I mean come on, she's a model. But, and let me finish this before you object. She came to my hotel later that night and at first, I wanted her but then I thought about you and I realized that I love you desperately and I'd die if I lost you. So, I turned her away, but she wouldn't give up. So, she walked over to me and put her arms around my neck and about that time AJ walked in and saw me. It was just the timing Jen, I swear. It was completely innocent," he finished.
I couldn't decide whether to cry or scream and yell. I thought I would cry but seeing his worried face, I suddenly burst out laughing.
"What?" he asked shocked. I walked over to him and kissed him on the nose.
"Chill out, Nick," I said and walked out.
