-Nick's POV-
I walked to the front of the church, followed by Brian and Aaron. The rest of the guys were already up there.
"You look better, Frack," AJ said laughing.
"Thanks a lot," I said sarcastically. "Did I really look that bad?"
Howie raised an eyebrow. I glared at him. Suddenly, the quiet church was interrupted by 'Here Comes The Bride.' Accompanied by her father, Jennifer started down the aisle slowly.
"You ready?" Brian whispered in my ear.
"Ready as I'll ever be, I guess," I whispered back.
"You are," Brian assured me.
By that time, Jen and her father were near the alter. Her father raised her vail and kissed her. Both of them were crying their eyes out. Then, her father took her small hand and 'gave her away' to me. I smiled at her and helped her up the few steps. Her hand was shaking in mine. I knew she was scared and nervous, but I also knew that we both wanted this. The preacher did his introductions which seemed to take forever. Finally, we got to the vows.
"Nickolas has prepared a special vow for Jennifer," the preacher said.
I was handed a microphone and began my speech. I turned to the audience, still holding my bride's hand.
(*AN: okay this part is kinda cheesy and I would never in a million years think Nick would do something like this, but it's also kinda sweet. Just read it!*)
"I don't know how many of you know exactly what my craft is and how busy I am. And I'm nervous now, so I'm probably going to babble a lot. But, it takes a special girl to love someone enough to stay with them like Jennifer has stayed with me. I've asked a lot from her in the past year and I don't think she's ever complained. And that means a lot. Anyone who's anyone in the entertainment industry knows that it takes a lot from you. It takes about 95% of my time. And I, I seriously try to break it down, so that I do give some time to the people who mean a lot to me," I stopped and turned to Jen and took a step closer to her.
"But I promise you that I'm going to be the best husband and father that I can. I'm gonna make you happy. And as long as we're married, I'll be there for you whenever I can. I love you," I finished. By now, more tears were streaming down her face. I smiled at her, trying desperately to hold back my own tears
"I love you too Nick," she said.
The preacher finished up the 'I Do' crap and we moved on to the rings. We exchanged them and as I stood there with Jen's hand in mine, I knew that she was the perfect girl for me. We lit the unity candle and the preacher did more talking. Finally, we were joined in front of the alter for the last time.
"So now, by the power invested in me, by the state of Florida and of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost, I now pronounce you Man and Wife. You may now kiss the bride," the preacher said.
I raised Jen's vail and kissed her gently. I knew I had the silliest look on my face, but at that point I really didn't care. I took her hand and we turned to the audience.
"It is my great honor and privilege to present to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter."
I helped Jen down the steps. My Mom kissed me and all the guys shook my hand. We finally made our way to the limo and climbed in. The second I had the chance, I gave her the most passionate kiss I could give.
