Chapter 15

***Jen's POV***

I found a concrete bench outside near the graveyard and sat down. The warm Florida breeze ran through my lace vail and my curls blew. I drank a gulp of champagne. My face was red and wet and at this point, I didn't care. Nick had stood me up on our wedding day. This should have been the happiest day of my life, but it wasn't. Suddenly, someone behind me spoke up.

"You shouldn't drink too much. I want you to remember most of this day," he said.

"Nick, where the hell have you been? I understand you don't want to go through with this wedding, but..." he stopped me.

"You're wrong. You are all wrong. Honey, you would not believe the afternoon I've had. But right now, let's just get married," he said.

"I don't know," I said slowly.

"I love you, Jennifer. Now, come on. Let's do what we came here to do," he said, wrapping his arms around me.

"You mean, you didn't change your mind?" I asked.

"No, I just had a really tough time getting here. Now, what do ya say? Huh? You still love me?" he asked smiling. I nodded my head and fell into his arms. He stood up and pulled me with him. Then, he whispered into my ear.

"Oh by the way, you look beautiful today."

"Thank you."

"Alright, well, give me 15 minutes," he said. I laughed. "Okay 15 MORE minutes. But, will you wait?" he asked. I nodded. He ran off into the church and BJ ran out to me.

"So?" she asked excitedly.

"We're gonna have a wedding," I said smiling.

"Yes! Come on," she said. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the church.
