*May*
After dinner, Nick and I went out on his boat. He drove me to the Keys. It was such a pretty place. Suddenly, I had a great idea.
"Nick. Why don't we get married in the Keys?" I asked. We had stopped the boat and I was laying on the long seat and Nick was on the other end, tickling my feet.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yeah. It would be so cool," I said.
"Yeah, but think about it. If we're going to Aspen for our honeymoon, we're going from a really hot climate, to a really cold climate," he said laughing. "By the way, what are you doing down there? Come up here girl," he said giving me a weird smile.
I got up on my knees and crawled over to him. He leaned forward and our lips touched softly. At that moment, an engine could be heard. Nick and I pulled apart and saw a boat racing toward us. His dad and Aaron were on it.
"Brian's at the house," he called. Nick growled and crawled out from under me
We got to the house and Brian's BMW was in the driveway. We went in and he was stretched out on the couch talking to BJ, who was sitting on the floor.
"Hey, Frick. Wuz up my man?" Nick called as he walked through the front door. They decided to play some basketball. While they played, I decided to go for a dip in the pool. The guys played for about an hour. They walked around the side of the house to the back. I was doing laps around the sides of the pool.
"Hey, gorgeous," Nick called. I ignored him and acted like I didn't hear him. He sat down on the edge of the pool. Brian had gone into the house for some reason. I decided to give Nick some attention and swam over to him.
"Hey," I said and kissed his leg.
"Getting dangerous aren't we?" he asked with a smile. About that time, Brian came running out of the house and startled both me and Nick.
"Jen, you're on TV," he screamed, very excited.
"What are you talking about?" Nick asked standing up. He reached down and pulled me out with one hand.
"MTV knows about your engagement Nick. It's on MTV news," Brian yelled.
"Brian man, calm down," Nick said. We walked into the house and found the television.
"Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is getting married. No one really knows who the lucky lady is, but the couple has been spotted around Florida. The rest of the boys and public relations spokesperson, Denise McLean, are keeping quiet about the engagement. No word yet on a date. That's the news for now, stay tuned."
"Well, congratulations Jen. You've finally made the news, baby," said Nick laughing. I picked up a pillow and threw it at him. Just then, the phone rang. Nick picked up.
"Hello?" Nick answered.
"Frack, man. Did you see MTV? Ha, Ha! Jen made MTV!" AJ said laughing.
"Yeah, we saw it. Hey, did you talk to your mom about it yet?" Nick asked.
He was sorta unsure about this. He always liked to keep his private life a secret. He didn't really want the press to know anything about the wedding or the engagement.
"Yeah, she's not too worried about it. It was gonna happen sooner or later," he said.
"Yeah, I guess. Well, I'll see ya later, Bone."
"See ya."
Nick turned around and came and put his arm around my waist.
"I'm not worried. Actually, I'm happy. I want everyone to know that I love you and that we're getting married," he said kissing my head.
"Yeah, whatever."
