“I’m really sorry you had to find out this way, Ena,” a girl with dark, short bobbed hair retorted as the lingering sound of sympathy was sensed in her pitch of voice. “But it’s best that you found out sooner rather than later…before it was, you know, too late”
”No…yeah…yeah, I uhm…I know,” a hint of both sadness and rage was in her voice as Ro-Ena bowed her head down. “I mean, you know, I’m not surprise to hear this at all…I’m not…it’s just that…how could I have been foolish of not seeing it myself?” she wanted to hate herself for being imprudent and refuting her own sense of knowledge of what was happening right in front of her. She knew she was to blame partly for letting things reach the point that it had. They didn’t belong together, they never did. He was never hers nor was she ever his. It was all a game, and she knew that. Her fear just managed to take hold of her in allowing her to keep fooling her own self that something great could be a part of her life. Her own silly dreams of being in the arms of a prince charming were the sole cause of her downfall in relationships.
, it’s not your fault! Don’t blame yourself, he’s the idiot not you!”
“I know that Christine, but why do I still feel like it’s partially my fault?” Ro-Ena let out a huge sigh signifying her stress.
“Because he made you think that way. He’s…he’s brainwashed you into thinking that what’s happening is either partially your fault or your entire fault!” Christine stated in a stern voice. “What are you going to do?”
“Accept reality and move on with my life…without him,” she clenched both her hands. Deep inside, she knew that things weren’t going to be as easy as it may seem to handle. It was a part she wished to be a nightmare than a reality. Her gut gave her a sense of emotion that she dreaded.

“What do you mean it’s over?” Jay screamed in fury. “Give me at least one reason why it’s over”
“You want a reason?” Ro-Ena returned his fury back with her own ferocity. “You’ve been fucking Melissa, you jerk! What? You think I’m stupid that I wouldn’t find out? Is that it, Jay? That you think I’m that stupid enough not to find out what you’ve been doing behind my back? You’re a disgusting pig and I hate you so much!”
“Come on Ena, I love you!” he said lowering his tone into a bare minimum, desperate to get any sort of empathy from Ro-Ena. “We had something special! We HAVE something special, don’t throw it all away over something stupid!”
“No Jay, YOU threw it all away with your inability to keep your fucking dick inside your goddamn pants!” Ro-Ena felt her entire body shaking from the rage she felt. She was in tears, not from the pain that was non-existent within her, but from the ire that had managed to overtake her whole being. “Why Jay, why? If you loved me, why did you do it?”
“I don’t know, it’s just one of those things, you know!” he reasoned
“No Jay, I don’t know! You know why I don’t know? Because I’m not the type of person who tells one person he loves her more than anything in the world then goes around and fucks her best friend!!! She was my best friend, Jay! My best friend! I HATE YOU!” she screamed as she began to pound on him as she began to sob. Tears flowed endlessly out of her eyes. Blurred was all that she could see from the tears that were present.
Jay grabbed both her arms to stop her from hurting him physically.
“Get out!” she said out of breath as she finally stopped hitting him as both her arms hung lifelessly on her body.
“This isn’t over, Ena. I know it and you know it! It’s not over!”
“No, it’s over! I can’t even look at you; you disgust me! I don’t ever want to see you ever again! I don’t want to see you, hear about you, talk about, I don’t want to know you!”
Jay plugged both his ears, “Don’t say that!” he screamed. “Don’t say that because it’s not true! You can’t live your life without me! You need me!”
“That’s where you’re wrong, Jay! I thought I needed you but now I know I don’t! I don’t need you in my life. I’m better off without you!”
“DON’T…SAY…THAT!” he screamed once more. His temper got the best of him as he began to throw things in all directions. He grabbed all that he could and threw it in the air as each item landed carelessly on the wooden floor.
“Stop it, Jay!” Ro-Ena pleaded while moving aside as to not get hit by the flying objects that were being thrown by Jay. “Please, just leave!” she pleaded.
Jay stopped what he was doing as he glared at where Ro-Ena was standing. He walked up close to her while negligently grabbing her by her neck. “I will never leave!”
Ro-Ena began to struggle from his strong grip as she tried to gasp for as much air as she could. “Jay…stop…it!” she blurted out bit by bit.
His grip tightened.
Darkness ruptured through Ro-Ena as suffocation managed to overtake her. She was out of breath and Jay’s grasp was so tight that for her to fidget around out of it will only make matters worse. She felt weak. She felt helpless. There was no way out. All that was waiting for her was darkness. Does darkness represent death? She wasn’t ready to face death. She wanted to live. She had dreams; dreams she wanted to experience in reality. “Please God, help me!” she prayed deep within her as her words did not escape her lips but through her soul and through her heart.
With eyes tightly shut and a body that stood lifelessly, a sudden strike in the face sent her down on the floor. She remained immobile. She was incapable of opening her eyes. It was darkness that was all around her. Darkness was all she could see. All at the same time, sounds were still evident. She could hear Jay shuffling around as all sorts of clatter resonated from all directions. She forced herself to move so that she could quickly get up and run out of there, but she couldn’t. It felt like the nerves in her body had stopped working. There was no way out for her. All she could do was to lie there and awaited for something else to strike her: something that will define the end. What did the end represented? Is it the end of the madness and nightmare that was Jay, or is it the end of life? She didn’t know. All she could do was wait…wait for something unbeknownst. That’s what scared her the most, not knowing what’s waiting for her. “I don’t want to die…give me a chance to live,” she whispered in her soul as darkness finally took its final spread all over Ro-Ena and all that was left was her laying lifelessly on the floor: no movements was made; no thoughts circulated within her. It was just her ruptured by the dark.
