The warm water hitting against his face sent a relaxing sensation throughout Nick's entirety. He continued to allow the water to wake him up and relax him a little for another few minutes. He tilted his head back a little, while closing his eyes shut, allowing the warm water to merge through his entire face and drip down to the tub basin.
Within a matter of seconds, the relaxing sensation of the water felt anything but that. Nick opened his eyes and he found himself covered in worms. The shower head no longer was letting out water, but worms upon worms. Nick's entire body was covered in worms as each tried to grab on to him. Nick looked around him and the tub was covered. He began to brush off the worms that were stuck on his body, but the more he wiped them off away, the more they multiplied. He tried to move but he couldn't. It was as if all he could do was stand there and allow the worms to multiply from hundreds to thousands to millions, each passing second. He tried to call Ro-Ena to seek salvation but no sound came out of his voice.
His heart began to raise, as all he can do was panic. He began to wiggle his body around, as he continuously ran both his hands through his face. He closed his eyes, as he cupped his face with his hands.
Darkness overtook and in a mere second, the warm water came rushing back through the shower head. Nick pryed his eyes opened and saw that everything was back to normal: no worm in sight.
"What the hell...??" His voice was back. Was it just the work of his wild and twisted imagination?
He ran his hands through his face once again, then at the back of his neck to make sure he had just imagined it all. His body still tingled from the sensation, as if he could still feel the worms wiggling around his body.
"I really need to start getting more sleep and stop stressing too much," he concluded, while allowing the warm water to relax him once more.
When he was finally finished and felt rejuvenated once again, he turned off the shower and reached for his towel to dry himself off with. After doing so, he wrapped the towel around his waist to cover his private parts and slid the glass door of the shower aside to give him access out.
The warm water made enough mist inside the bathroom that the mirrors were covered in water mists. The vision that greeted Nick left him immobile. "I'm going to keep you" was written across the window in sloppy penmanship.
"What the fuck?" Nick stammered under his voice, then quickly reaching for the knob of the bathroom door and found Ro-Ena standing in front of the body mirror, examining herself. "Yeah, that was real cute!"
Ro-Ena turned her head around to look at the direction where Nick was standing. "What are you talking about?" she said with a confused expression on her face.
"The message on the mirror..." Nick said while pointing to the direction of the bathroom. "'I'm going to keep you'??? Oh come on, that was way obvious!" he chuckled
"Nick, I don't know what you're talking about!" she let out a small chuckle with the confused look still written across her face.
"Oh come on, I may be a little out of it right now but I haven't lost my mind!!!"
Ro-Ena gazed up at Nick, then finally decided to walk over to the washroom to see what he was talking about precisely. "Nice towel," she joked at Nick as she passed by him and entered the washroom.
"Thanks, I try to please you" he retorted back. "So, now that you're in there, am I going to here the uh...the infamous, 'haha, got you loser!' line?"
"You probably would if I played a prank on you but Nick, there's nothing here!"
Nick stormed inside the bathroom and the mirror was completely cleared with no hint of it ever being misted in the first place. He was left speechless.
"I told you, go back to bed!" Ro-Ena patted him on the shoulder and walked out.
"There was something, and I know you did it!!!" he called out, still unwilling to believe that he was delusional. "There was something," he said under his breath as he continued to eye the mirror in front of him.
