It's Saturday morning and Toni and I have to go to work. 7AM. God I didn't even know there was a 7 AM! Especially on a Saturday. Today we were going to do some choreography for N Sync. The new band that's just starting in the US. They're known in Europe but not as well as the BSB. The BSB have meetings all day discussing their new tour that would start in August. They were going to be gone for a while. It was still undecided how long they would be gone. N Sync was going on a tour soon and needed the choreography done in 2 weeks tops. Which was going to be difficult to do dances for about 14 songs and teach it to 5 guys in 2 weeks. Fatima was too busy with other clients so she put her faith in us. Hopefully she did the right thing. I hope so....
"Come on we're gonna be late!" Toni yelled up the stairs.
"Hey! Some of us are still sleeping!" Allie yelled back down from her room.
"Well some of us need jobs to get to! Ang get your ass down here!" I came bounding down the stairs with my duffel bag in hand. "It's about time! Let's go. See you Allie." Toni yelled up to her.
"Bye!" She yelled back.
We got in my car since Toni refused to take hers. "I don't know why you hate your car so much. It's fine for an 18 year old."
"That disgusting tan colored Toyota Camry? That used to be my mom's car for 4 years. No thanks I'd rather ride in style in your Eclipse."
"You're so picky." I said heading for the highway. The studio was 20 minutes away and the highway was the fastest way to get there.
"God I'm so sick of this song." Toni said and changed the station to a Celine Dion song. "Ugh another annoying song." I rolled my eyes. Toni was the kind of person to change the station every 5 minutes. "Ahh this is good."
"Do you know who this is?!" I practically yelled.
"Sounds familiar."
"Obviously you didn't hear the CD your boyfriend gave you. It's 'Quit Playing Games With My Heart.' I can't believe they're on the radio in the states! This is so cool!"
"They haven't been on the radio before?"
"No not yet. Not here."
The song lasted a couple of seconds longer and the DJ started talking. "Well that was QPGWMH by a new boy band based here in Orlando. The Backstreet Boys. 5 really talented, not to mention, good looking guys on their way to stardom. And we're the first radio station to give you the Backstreet Boys. And the phones are ringing off the hooks about it. I'm sensing a number 1 hit. We'll keep you posted..." I turned the radio off not wanting to hear the commercials.
"That is so cool." Toni said. "I gotta call AJ." She said searching in her purse for her cell.
"Isn't he in a meeting?" I asked.
"Oh yeah. But not until 8. Him and the guys were going to get some breakfast so maybe he heard it in the car." She replied hopefully, already punching in the digits to AJ's cell.
"AJ here." He answered enthusiastically after about 3 rings.
"AJ! Did you hear the radio?!"
"YES! Ohmigod! We're in the car, we all heard it and we're sooo happy!!" He said in an excited tone.
"Oh I'm so happy for you guys! This is so great. You guys are going to make it. I believe in you."
"Thanks baby. That means so much to me and the guys."
"Just don't forget about me when you're driving expensive cars, making millions, living in mansions, and visiting big fancy hotels." Toni said. I could sense a bit of sadness in her voice.
"Never. I could never forget you." He said to her sincerely. I could hear the guys from AJ's car 'awww' from my driver's seat!
"Well we're here. So I gotta go. I love you." She said and hung up a few seconds later. "OK let's get this done." She said getting out of the door with her duffel bag. I followed locking my door with the key ring.
"OK they already have 4 dances down. Fatima gave me an idea of some good steps last week. So we have 10 songs to make up some dances for. And slow songs don't require much dancing." I explained. We opened the two doors and entered the studio to 5 smiling faces.
"Hey you 2 must be Toni and Angela. I'm JC." The tall, dark haired, dark eyed one said to us shaking our hands. Was he hot or what! Wow I could get used to this job. But then there's Nick. Why did Nick have to be so damn hot?!
After all the introductions we began the long day ahead of us. Allie surprised us at noon with McDonalds for everybody. We finished around 9pm. Talk about a long exhausting day. We got about 2 more dances down. Which is really surprising in only a day's work. Justin kept eyeing Toni. And I hoped he didn't want to get involved with her. That could cause some major problems. Toni and I got home around 10 and noticed Allie wasn't at home. She left a note saying she went out with Brian.
"Hey guess what?" Toni said to me.
"What?"
She was smiling from ear to ear. "Anthony's coming for a visit!" She said speaking of her twin brother and Allie's ex.
"He is? What for?"
"To see us! He said he misses us and he got a bonus in his paycheck and he's coming down for a weekend with Maria." She explained. At first I was a little confused. "Maria?" I thought
about it for a minute. "Ohh his new girlfriend Maria! Ohh ok! Duh Ang! I get it." I said.
"Sometimes you scare me. Well anyways they're coming in a few days. But they're going to be staying in a hotel. I can't wait to see him!" Toni said. Her and her brother were real close. It's a twin bond thing.
"Guys I'm home!" Allie yelled as she walked in the door. She came in the kitchen where Toni and I were, beaming, and grinning. She looked as if she were on cloud 9.
"What's with you?" I asked her.
She smiled again and replied "Brian is the sweetest most caring most loving most gorgeous man alive. Look what he gave me to show his love." She held her arm out to reveal the diamond tennis bracelet that circled her wrist.
"Oh wow it's beautiful!" Toni said yanking her arm.
"Hey be careful!" Allie said to her. I looked at the bracelet once more and said "Lucky girl Allie. It's so beautiful."
"Thanks. I had no idea he was going to give me anything. We just started dating a week or so ago. So what's happening with you guys?"
"Anthony and Maria are coming this weekend." I said and Toni nudged me. "Umm aww. What was that for?" Allie looked surprised, angry, and sad all rolled in one. "Anthony and Maria? My Anthony? I mean my old Anthony?"
"Yeah. Sweetie it's only for a weekend. Not too long." Toni reassured her. "Will you be ok?"
She looked at her feet. "Umm yeah I'll be fine." She raised her head and forced a smile. "Well I'm going to bed now. Are you 2 working tomorrow?"
"Yeah at 10." I replied. She headed out of the kitchen. "Alright I'll see you tomorrow then." She headed upstairs and in her bedroom. She changed into her pajamas and crawled into bed. Silently crying to herself about the weekend yet to come. "How will I tell Brian?" She asked herself. She cried herself to sleep with a million thoughts about Anthony and Brian running through her head.
