"Toni! AJ's here!" I yelled to my best friend.
I'm Angela. I used to live in Chicago, Illinois with my 2 best buds, Antonia (Toni), and Allison (Allie). We graduated from high school and decided to move to our dream destination, Florida. We've been saving up money for so long to get a place here. And with so many of my supporting, not to mention wealthy, relatives we got a great deal on a house in Orlando. My dad's a realtor so he got us a good deal. The 3 of us have lived here since May when we graduated. Now it was July. We'd been eyeing this place since February and bought it in early May and made our way here the week after graduation. The 3 of us needed a break from the people in Chicago. We wanted to get away from the people in our school. Toni had met AJ back in Chicago in March and they began dating. He came back in late April and they became official. Now that we moved here they were a solid couple. Toni and I were very into dancing and waiting to make a big break. Toni came down in the front room where AJ and I were chatting, looking great. She had a beautiful figure. She used to be the most attractive girl in school. Every guy loved her. With her tanned skin and black long hair, with those dark mysterious eyes every guy wanted her. But she was very picky with who she dated.
"Hey sweetie." AJ greeted giving her a hug.
"Hi. Where are we going?"
"Dinner and a movie. OK with you?"
"Sounds great."
"Hey AJ, are you doing the Disney Talent Show?" I asked him. AJ and 4 other guys Kevin, Nick, Howie, and Brian were a music group just starting out. They had a record deal but their album wouldn't be out for a few months.
"Yeah we're thinking about it."
"I think we should join Toni." I said.
"Really? We could do our routine to the N Sync song "You Got It." "
"Yeah. That would be so cool!" I gushed. We had this routine that we made up to the N Sync song. It's a single in Europe but they aren't known in the states yet.
"OK, let's do it. AJ, honey you could sign us up. K?"
"And why can't you do it?"
"Because you're so sweet and loving you're doing it for us."
"Yeah whatever. Hey Ang. I have a guy for you."
"Really? Who is he? Is he cute?" I started talking a mile a minute.
"Yes really. Nick Carter. And I wouldn't know. I don't check out guys."
"Nick Carter? The guy in the group?"
"Yeah. You 2 would be perfect for each other. Tomorrow, my place 3 p.m. You 2 there. Bring Allie. Where is she anyway?"
"She went to the store." I told him.
"OK, ready to go?" AJ asked Toni.
"Yeah. See ya Ang." Toni said.
"Bye Angela." AJ added and the 2 left. I wonder what this Nick Carter guy is like. Well I'll just have to find out. I can't wait 'til tomorrow. "I'm home!" I heard Allie yell as she walked in the kitchen that was joined with the family room. "Hey help me with the groceries."
"Ugh...fine." I said dragging myself to the kitchen.
"I saw AJ and Toni leaving. We're going to AJ's tomorrow?"
"Yeah he's hooking me up with Nick Carter from the group." I said putting some vegetables away.
"Cool. It'll be fun to meet the other guys."
"Yeah. Especially Nick. AJ said I would like him.
So we'll just have to see." I said hopeful. Tomorrow will be fun.
