Adrianne woke up around ten the next morning. After getting dressed, she went downstairs to the cafeteria to get her pills for the day.
"Good morning, Adrianne" a nurse said as she handed Adrianne the pills.
The nurses were always so cheerful. It made Adrianne sick. She sat at a table by herself and took the pills. Adrianne had a meeting with the psychologist in ten minutes, but she wasn't gonna go. What was the point? Adrianne wasn't gonna talk to him anyway. She went back to her room and read a magazine.
An hour later, a doctor walked into Adrianne's room.
"Adrianne, the psychologist is waiting for you." the doctor said.
Adrianne shook her head no.
The doctor looked angry, "One of these days we are gonna get you to talk. Go to the psychologist right now!!"
Adrianne ignored him and continued reading her magazine. The doctor noticed Adrianne holding a teddy bear.
"Did Nick give that to you?" He went over to Adrianne and grabbed the teddy bear from her, "You'll get this back, once you go to the psychologist."
Adrianne started to form tears in her eyes. Then, she got so angry that she punched the doctor, causing his nose to bleed.
"That's it!!!" the doctor shouted, "You're going in the straight jacket again."
Because Adrianne fought and struggled so much, it took four nurses to put her in a straight jacket. Then, they gave Adrianne a shot to calm her down.

"He took my teddy bear." Adrianne cried, "He said I wouldn't get it back until I go to the psychologist."
"Don't worry, I'll get it back for you." Nick said, "So, why didn't you go see the psychologist?"
"I didn't want to" replied Adrianne, "Besides, there's no point in me going, since I'm not gonna talk to him."
Nick sighed, "Wanna go walk outside? It might make you feel better."
"I'm not allowed to go outside today." Adrianne said, "But I guess we can walk around the hospital if you want."
Adrianne and Nick walked around the halls.
"Isn't that straight jacket uncomfortable?" Nick asked.
"Of course,, it is." Adrianne said, "But I've gotten use to it."
A group of patients laughed, as Adrianne and Nick walked by.
"Just ignore them." Nick said. Him and Adrianne found an empty lobby, so they sat down there.
"I'm sorry" Adrianne said.
"For what?" Nick asked.
"That you've got a freak for a girlfriend." Adrianne said.
"You're not a freak." Nick said, "Stop putting yourself down."
"You mean seeing me in a straight jacket doesn't scare you?" asked Adrianne.
"Nope" Nick replied.
Adrianne and Nick sat around for another hour, then it was time for Nick to go.

That night at dinner, Adrianne was finally let out of her straight jacket. But, she was not allowed to eat with the other patients. Instead, she ate alone in her room. Adrianne was actually starting to feel better.
"Medication must be setting in" she thought.
She went down the hall to take a shower. On the way there, she walked by another patients room. The patient's name was Emily. Emily had always been nice to Adrianne.
Emily looked up, "Oh... hi, Adrianne. I take it you're not gonna talk. That's ok. I don't blame you. I guess, I should say goodbye. After six months, I'm finally getting out of this hell hole. I hope you'll be able to get out soon. Good luck with everything. And, good luck with Nick. He seems really sweet."
After Emily left, a doctor came up to Adrianne and said, "See? Now, if you would only start talking, then you'd be able to get out of here like Emily."
Adrianne ignored him and went and took a shower. After the shower, she went back to her room and got into bed. She reached under her pillow and pulled out a picture. It was one that Aaron had taken of her and Nick at Disney World. Adrianne smiled, kissed the picture, put it back under her pillow, and fell asleep.
