"It's getting late" Adrianne said, "I should go."

Nick replied, "Please don't. Just stay a few more minutes.

Adrianne sighed, "I really want to, but the doctors are gonna wonder where I am. I..."

Nick interrupted Adrianne by kissing her, cupping her face with his hands. Just then, Adrianne heard voices in the distance.

"I really gotta go now." Adrianne said as she kissed Nick one last time, "Cya tomorrow."

"Bye" Nick replied.

*THE NEXT DAY*

"Time to take your medicine, Adrianne." the doctor said. He handed Adrianne a cup filled with her pills for the day.

Instead of taking the pills, Adrianne threw them across the room.

The doctor looked annoyed, "It's bad enough you won't talk in therapy. Now, you won't take your medicine? Just take it!"

Adrianne nodded her head no and curled up in the corner of the room.

"Don't make me force them down your throat!" he doctor said.

Just then, Nick walked in.

"What's going on?" Nick asked. ,p>Adrianne ran over to Nick and hugged him. She buried her face in his shirt.

"Adrianne won't take her pills." the doctor said,

"Maybe, you can convince her to take them."

"Can I have a minute alone with her?" Nick asked.

"Of course" the doctor replied as he walked out of the room.

Nick turned his attention to Adrianne, "What's going on? Why won't you take your medicine?"

"I don't want to anymore. They make me sick." Adrianne answered, "Last night, I was throwing up blood."

"This is why you should start talking to the doctors." Nick replied, "They won't know something is wrong, unless you tell them."

"We've been over his a million times, Nick." Adrianne said, "I don't wanna talk to the doctors. I hate.... AHHHHHHHH!!!"

Adrianne keeled over in pain, holding her stomach.

"What's wrong?" Nick asked.

Adrianne didn't speak. She started coughing up blood.

"OMG!" Nick shouted. He ran into the hall and got a doctor, "Help! Adrianne's coughing up blood."

The doctor examined Adrianne and determined that it was caused by one of her medications.

"Is she gonna be alright?" Nick asked.

"Yes, she'll be fine." the doctor said, "We just need to adjust her medications, so this won't happen again."

The doctor left and Adrianne and Nick were alone one again.

"I guess you don't feel like going outside today." Nick said.

"Not really" Adrianne said, "Sorry"

"It's ok." Nick told her, "We can just hang out here. So, what's new?"

"My birthday is next week." Adrianne said, "I'm gonna be 22."

"Wow" Nick said, "Now, I have to think of what to get you."

"You don't have to get me anything." Adrianne said. Nick kissed Adrianne gently, "I want to. And I know just the thing."

"What?" Adrianne asked.

"You'll have to wait till your birthday." Nick replied.

Adrianne pouted, "You're mean!"

"I know" Nick said as he kissed Adrianne.

Adrianne smiled, "It's ok"

"Hey, I've got an idea." Nick said, "If I can get permission, would you like to go to Disney World tomorrow?"

"I'd love to!" Adrianne said, "I haven't been there in so long."

Just then, Adrianne started to yawn.

"Tired?" Nick asked.

"Yeah" Adrianne said.

Nick climbed onto the bed with Adrianne and held her. He stayed with her until she fell asleep.
