12:15 AM ~~~~~~ Katie walked back downstairs, after putting Alexia in her crib. She found Nick sitting in one of the kitchen chairs, drinking a glass of wine. "You know you are going to pay for that" Katie said. "Huh" Nick asked looking up. "I'm kidding Nick" Katie said closing the two open windows and locking them. She didn't notice, Nick watching her every move. He especially liked, when she bent over to pick something up off the floor. He got up and got behind her and somehow managed to trip her and he pretended to slip and fall on top of her. "Nick what the..." Katie started to say, but was cut off by Nick kissing her, a very deep and passionate french kiss. Katie put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him off of her, and got up. She looked at him and went into the other room to lock up. Nick grinned to himself and ran up the stairs to her bedroom and got undressed and jumped into her bed, not even thinking that this was Katie's and Kevin's bed and they could have made love on it earlier that day.
Ten minutes later, Katie was walking up the stairs to go to bed. She checked on all three sleeping kids then went into her bedroom. She didn't' bother to turn on the light, so she didn't noticed Nick. She changed into her pajamas, a spaghetti strap tank top and shorts, then went into the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. Sighing, she walked back into the room and climbed into bed. A few seconds, she felt a warm body up against her back. A warm naked body. She hastily turned around, in the process knocking covers to the bed. She saw Nick, lying stretched out on her bed, completely naked.
"Nick?! What the hell were you doing" Katie asked trying to cover herself. "I thought we were gonna have sex, like last time" Nick said. "You thought wrong. What we did that night and for a few nights after, was wrong. I'm married now and I love Kevin with all my heart. I'm not going to cheat on him, because you want sex" Katie said. "Your daughter wants to see you in the morning, so go sleep in a guest room" Katie added. Nick got up and put on his clothes and walked into a guest room, of course he picked the one closet to Katie's room. In the room he stripped back down to his boxers.
After about 20 minutes, he got up and went down the hall a little and opened the door to Katie's room gently and watched her sleep. "I could have slept next to her every night, but no I had to be an idiot and cheat on her and look at what I wound up with.....I hate Kevin" Nick thought, as he watched Katie sleep peacefully. He ran back to his room, when he heard Alexia start crying. He watched from his door, as Katie walked down the hallway to the baby's room.
"Kat, why don't I try" Nick asked, about 15 minutes later. Alexia wouldn't stop crying. "I guess" Katie replied, still asleep. Nick walked over to her and picked up the baby from her arms. Almost instantly she stopped crying. "I think she likes me better" Nick whispered looking over, to find Katie asleep on the bed that was also in the room besides the crib. After Alexia was back asleep, he placed her in the crib and walked over to Katie. He kneeled down and looked at her. "She's so cute, when she sleeps, why did I have to be the idiot" Nick thought, as he tucked a piece of hair, that had fallen over her eyes, behind her ear. He noticed that she was shivering slightly, then he noticed that it was kinda cold in the room, due to the air conditioning and what little clothes they both had on. "I'll just pick her up and carry her back to her room, no big deal. Kevin wouldn't mind. He said to watch out for her, I am" Nick thought. He gently placed on arm around Katie's back and the under Katie's legs and picked her up. He felt her snuggle closer to his chest, and he sighed happily. He carried her back down the hallway to her room. He placed her on the bed and pulled up the covers and placed them over her, carefully. "Nick?" Katie whispered, out loud.
