First Love?

Melissa arrived at the beach and immediately spotted Nick. She started over to him and as she got closer she realized how upset he looked. when she finally reached him she instinctively wrapped her arms around him. "Are you feeling any better?"

"Maybe a little bit now that you're here," he answered.

"So what do you want to do?"

"I don't know."

"How about we go to McDonalds for lunch and then go for a swim."

"Sounds okay to me."

AJ started to pick up the clothes he had worn the night before that he had probably taken off and just threw them anywhere. As he picked up his jeans a small piece of paper fell out. he picked it up and read it. It said: Meg-room 314 . He didn't remember anything about Meg but he remembered Nick telling him he had met a girl last night. Maybe Meg would remember him. It was worth a try he thought as he picked up the phone and dialed room 314.

Meg had decided to take a nice hot bubble bath versus a shower. She had just filled up the tub when the phone rang. Melissa will get it she thought but then she remembered that Melissa had went to meet Nick at the beach. With a sigh Meg grabbed the phone and brought it into the bathroom.

"Hello?" she answered as she stepped in the tub.

"Umm is this Meg?" the voice on the other end said uncertainly.

"Yea it is. May I help you?"

"I don't know if you remember me. We met at the club last night. My name is AJ."

"Oh yea, I remember you. That's the only thing I do remember."

"Well, you must have gave me your room number because I found it in the pocket of my jeans."

"Yea, I guess so."

"So, would you like to do something later on like go to the beach."

"Sure, I guess. I'm in the tub right now but I can meet you in like an hour."

To bad I can barely remember what she looks like AJ thought. Then I'd be able to come up with some very interesting mental images.

"Ok sounds great. See ya," he told her as he hung up.

Well, he had an hour to kill. Maybe a good soak in the tub would help his aching body. He decided to give it a chance.

All through lunch Melissa tryed to tell funny stories and jokes to keep Nick's mind off Erin. She wasn't sure if actually worked but the two of them had plenty to discuss. They wound up talking so much they hardly ate.

After they finished they headed towards the beach where Melissa immediately laid out her blanket and sat down on it. Nick sat beside her.

The first thing Melissa did was take out a bottle of suntan lotion and lathered it up her arms and legs.

"Do you need any help?" Nick asked half joking around.

"Actually if you want I do need help putting some sunscreen on my back," she told him with a smile.

"OK," he said as he grabbed the bottle, squirted some on his hands and began rubbing it into her back.

Melissa was a little suprised because she thought he was just kidding around but she had to admit that she liked the feeling of his hands on her back. She was starting to develop goosebumps up and down her spine and began to feel his hands begin to massage her shoulders.

"Is this okay?" he asked her.

She didn't say a word just nodded her head. She definitely did not mind this and she closed her eyes, started to enjoy herself and just lose herself in the moment. A few minutes later when he stopped she was left slightly disappointed.

"Do you want to go swimming for a little while?" he asked her.

"OK I guess," she told him as she peeled off her shorts. A few minutes later they were in the water.

Melissa was trying to figure out if he really liked her or was just using her to forget about Erin. He seemed sincere but she had to admit she hardly knew him, all she knew was that he was very nice, she loved spending time with him, and that he was very hot.

When the two finally got out about an hour later they were both dripping wet and cold. As soon as Melissa got out she grabbed her towel and wrapped it around herself tightly.

"Are you cold?" Nick asked her.

"Yea. How could you tell?" she said with a laugh.

"I don't know. Maybe its cause your shivering and your lips are all blue."

"Yours are too," she informed him.

"They are?"

"Uh huh."

"Well, then I guess we are just going to have to do something about that."

Before Melissa could object he wrapped his arms around her, slipping off the towel she had around her shoulders, and brought his face closer to hers. O God, is he going to kiss me? she thought as she shut her eyes in anticipation.

And kiss her he did, softly at first but then deeper with more intensity. Melissa eagerly kissed him back totally savoring the moment. He was definitely a great kisser, not that she really had anyone to compare him to.

As they finally pulled apart he asked," Did that help?"

"Well, your lips aren't blue anymore," she informed him.

"Neither are yours so I guess it did help."

Half of her wanted to ask him if he really meant the kiss or what. Did he really like her? Did he want to go out with her? Or was he just trying to get back at Erin? She had no idea what to say to him so she wound up saying something stupid.

"Wow! I've never been kissed like that before," she told him shyly. Afterwards she wanted to kick herself for sounding so stupid.

"Really? Well, thanks, I guess."

"If I tell you something will you promise not to laugh?"

"OK I promise."

"Well, I know it sounds really, really pathetic but that was my first kiss," she blurted out.

"Really? You're 18 and never been kissed?" Nick asked surprised.

"Well, yea until now. I guess guys don't like me very much."

"Well, then they must be blind because I like you."

"You do?" Now it was Melissa's turn to act suprised.

"I kissed you didn't I?"

"Yea, but I thought you were just trying to get back at Erin."

"I feel insulted that you would think that I'd do sumthin like that I would never stoop that low. I don't like playing games like that with people."

Melissa was left feeling amazed that he actually liked her. Maybe dreams did come true because it was only about 24 hours before that she first laid eyes on Nick and now he was hers. Again she was left speechless but this time it was okay, because she didn't have to worry about talking when Nick's lips were on hers.
