"Good morning," Melissa greeted her cheerfully. Why is she so happy, Meg wondered?
"You certainly sound all perky this morning. What happened Mary Sunshine?"
"I just feel like being happy. It's not my fault that you drank to much last night and now your suffering from a hangover. By the way would you like some asprin?"
"Oh please! I need it."
Melissa tossed her the asprin and Meg swallowed two quickly.
"Why don't you go take a shower, you might feel better," Melissa suggested.
"Good idea. I think I will," she said as she hobbled towards the bathroom.
He played for a while, until he got bored then he decided he should go see how AJ was doing.
A few minutes later he was knocking on AJ's door.
"Come in whoever it is," AJ said. He really sounded like shit.
"Hey AJ it's me. I was wondering how you were feeling."
"I feel like shit."
"Well, I'd imagine after all the drinks you had last night."
"Oh so that explains my headache. I really don't remember much about last night."
"Well, you kind of hooked up with a girl and if I hadn't intervened..."
"Yea, I get the point. Can you hand me the asprin?"
"Here. You know this isn't the first time you've gotten this drunk or the second or even the fifth."
"Oh no! I feel the 'alcohol isn't good for you' lecture coming on."
"Well, its true AJ. You don't know when to stop when it comes to drinking!"
"Yes, I do! I can control myself!"
"Well, then prove it. I bet you can't go a whole day without a drink."
"OK you're on! I bet I can do it!"
"I'll be keeping an eye on you. Now I got to get back to the room before Erin starts to worry."
"OK bye."
Nick left and started walking towards his room. When he reached the door he thought he heard muffled voices. Do I have the right room he wondered as he checked the number on his key? The numbers matched up. He was probably just imagining things.
He opened the door and shouted, "Hey babe are you up yet?"
His question was answered when he walked further into the room where Erin was awake but still in bed and she wasn't alone. The guy from the club last night, Matt was laying beside her, right where Nick had been only an hour before.
Nick couldn't believe this was happening. He was watching some other guy with his arms around his girlfriend!
"It's not what it looks like!" Erin pleaded, noticing the hurt and anger in his blue eyes.
"Oh sure that's why you are both laying naked in bed, but no it's not what it looks like!" he said sarcastically.
"No! We just umm..."
"I'll be back in 10 minutes and I want him out of here!" Nick ordered pointing towards Matt. "Then the two of us need to have a long talk." Then he walked out before Erin could protest any further.
He couldn't believe that Erin would do this to him! He had thought that Erin was completely satisfied with him but apparently he had thought wrong.
He walked over to AJ's room. He needed to unload his problems on someone and he also needed somewhere else to stay because there was no way in hell he was going to continue staying with Erin. As far as he was concerned they were over.
When he reached AJ's room, AJ looked annoyed. "You're back already? Haven't you bugged me enough already?"
Nick didn't answer. He just stepped in and sat on the bed.
"What's a matter? You look upset."
"Well, you'd be upset too if you found your girlfriend in bed with another guy!" Nick snapped.
"Wow! Nick, I can't believe Erin would actually do that to you!"
"Well, she did. Do you think I can take the other bed in here?"
"I don't see why not."
"Thanks. I'll bring my stuff by later."
"Sure. No problem."
"Right now me and Erin have to have a long talk."
