Meeting Him Wasn't So Bad Right?

Chapter Six

Right after Tina had left to go over Liz house, Nick ran back up to his room and got changed for their soundcheck that he was going to be late for if he didn't get a move on. When he got in his room and saw his computer on, he had forgot that he had wrote Liz an e-mail not to long ago so while Nick was changing he was thinking about Liz and if she was ever going to answer him. Today was the day to see if she had cared about him the way he did for her. Nick prayed she would showed up. Turning off the computer Nick left to go over Brian's house.

"Hey mom I'm going to my soundcheck and I need to a ride over to Brian's house. So who is going to take me? I need to be there in 10 minutes" Nick yelled on his way down to the kitchen.

"You're dad is taking you I believe. What time should you be back so he can pick you up?" asked Jane.

"Brian's going to take me home and he's going to stay for dinner is that's ok?"

"That would be great," said Jane getting Bob to drive Nick over Brian's house.

Nick still couldn't get over Liz, he was going to come up with a plan to make her talk to him and pretty much soon too! But he couldn't think of anything else.

"Hey Brian. Sorry I'm late I couldn't get a ride over here. Thanks god I'm getting my liscense soon," said Nick.

He had turned sixteen 3 months before they moved to Boston.

"So what are we doing today?" asked Howie.

"Today we're going to record the first song and some when next month we're going to release it and hope that it's a hit!" said Kevin laughing.

"Great," said Brian.

For the next hour or so the boys sang different parts of the song until they had reached a decision on who sings what part. After they were finished one by one they all left except for Nick and Brian.

"Hey Bri can I talk to you for a minute before we leave?" asked Nick.

"Sure what's up?"

"Well... you see ever since we moved here I've been crushing on this girl... and I don't know how she feels about me. I met her online a few months ago. Then 2 months into meeting her I became her online boyfriend, so when I told her I was going to move to Boston after I had settled in she freaked out and has been ignoring me after the day we had talked and introduced ourselves. The problem is that I really want her to know that I care and I love her very much but there's no way I can talk to her if she doesn't listen to me. What do you think I should do?" asked Nick.

"Well to me she's hiding something away from you. Do you know any of her friends?" asked Brian.

"Yea one or two of them. Before I came to practice today her best friend Tina came over and told me what was wrong with Liz. Tina said that Liz is afraid that now when I'm here and we've broken up online then she was still going to need to face me and she doesn't want to be hurt like she had been with this guy who had purposely hurt her..." Nick drifted off.

"Well all I can say is that when you do get a chance to talk to her tell her to give you a chance and that you're not the other guy she had met. Tell her that you're different and doesn't play people, and that you deserve a chance, also tell her that this could be a great opputurnity she could be missing out on." Brian said trying to help.

"I doubt that will happen but thanks for the tip Brian." Nick said getting up to leave with Brian following him. Meanwhile at Liz's house...

"Liz why are you crying?" asked Tina walking over to show her the outfit she had picked our for Liz to wear that night over to Nick's house.

"It's nothing. I was just reading this other letter I had gotten from Nick. Now I'm not sure if I should tell him what if he rejects me or something?" asked Liz panicking.

"It's not a problem Liz, Nick already told me that he loves and cares about you alot, and he's willing to give you a chance before anyone else."

"I just hope things work out" she said turning off the computer.

Half and hour to Fourty-five minutes later she was all finished and ready. She put her hair up into a ponytail and had on a pair of faded flares and a spagetti-strap shirt. She put on her platform sandals and left to go over Nick's house.

"Wish me luck." Liz said smiling.

"Good luck! Come home after you guys talk ok? I want to hear about it. I'm going to go home and get my stuff I'm staying over your house for the night so we can talk ok?" asked Tina leaving the house.

"Sure... so I guess I'll see you tonight ok?"

"OK. By the way what movie do you want to see after we talk?" "I don't care anything. Pick out something, but I'm ready to watch Election, Never Been Kissed, or Blair Witch. Oh, I don't care. I'm willing to watch anything." said Liz crossing the street.

"Ok I'll get something," With that both of the girls left in their own different directions.
