A week had soon passed and there wasn’t a moment the four weren’t apart. Except when the girls had work, but otherwise, they were inseparable. They had actually decided to have a one-week anniversary get together, because that’s just the kind of people they were. (*AN: You know that’s true Em! *)
“It’s only been a week since I met you” Amy said sighing. She was occupying AJ’s lap at the moment while, seated on the opposite site of the picnic table, Nick and Em were having a quick make-out session.
“And you make it sound like that’s a bad thing”
“Well, I wish I could have met you sooner, that’s all. Oh and when do we get to meet the rest of the guys?”
“Today. They’re coming over later cause I told them I was having a barbecue”
“Don’t tell your poor little girlfriend. It’s okay,” She said sarcastically.
“We wanted to surprise you. Plus, B’s bringing a girl so you can all bond”
“I’m offended AJ. What if we don’t like this girl and there’s a huge bitch fight? How the hell would we be able to bond?”
“Bitch fight? I’m there!” He said excitedly as Amy smacked him upside the head.
“I’m serious. I’m sure Em and I will get along great with her, but there’s still that small chance”
“Who’s having a bitch fight?” Em asked suddenly, after her and Nick decided to take a breather.
“Don’t worry about it. Our men here decided not to tell us about the barbecue this afternoon”
“What? How could you?” She asked, smacking him in the head.
“Oww! This was all AJ’s idea. Why do I get hit?”
“Because one, you’re closer and two, you’re his friend so there” She replied, smacking him once more.
“Why are you so damn violent today?” He said, rubbing his head from the pain Em inflicted on him.
“Because of a certain UN-honest someone I happen to know”
“Yo, yo, yo! B-Rok is in the house!” Brian exclaimed suddenly, walking into the backyard with a pretty girl following him close behind.
“Bri man! You’re early dude!”
“Yeah, well, I wanted to be here cause well I just did”
"Makes enough sense to me. Care to introduce us?”
“Duh! Everyone, I would like you to meet Lissa, and Lissa, this is everyone, or most of them” He said, then continued, “Oh so I don’t get introduced to your lovely ladies?”
“Brian and Liss, meet Amy and Em, and vice versa,” AJ said as we all shared a handshake and greetings.
“Now that we got that out of the way, we should start setting up,” Em concluded.
“That sounds like a reasonable idea” Amy agreed.
“And Carter, I’ll get back to you later” Em added as she, Amy, and Lissa walked off into the house.
“Oohh, Nick’s in the dog house!”
“Am not! We were just having a little argument”
“Sure, whatever you say. Where did you find them, cause damn, they’re fine”
“One, back off and two, they found us” AJ replied defensively.
"One, I’m with Lissa and two, what do you mean?” Brian asked back jokingly.
“Nick and I were having some stupid fight when they drove by and honked at us. They drove around the block and came back, and we started talking. The next thing we know, we’re eating Mickey D’s with two very sexy ladies” AJ said smiling.
“Whoa, that’s cool. Earth to Nick, you there?” Bri said suddenly, waving his hands in front of Nick’s face.
“Huh? Yeah, I was just thinking”
“That must of took a lot, sorry I interrupted” He joked.
“Shut the hell up. It’s not funny”
“Chill Frack, it was a joke. Ya know, just me being me”
“Whatever” He said, than walked off.
“What the hell crawled up his ass?”
“Really don’t know. So where did you find Lissa?” AJ asked.
*Meanwhile, with the girls*
“I was just taking my usual daily walk when he ran into me. Literally. He apologized and asked me to dinner” Lissa said, describing how her and Bri met.
“Wow, talk about fast. So do you like him?”
“He’s got his great qualities, like his smile and eyes, and he’s so hilarious. But he can be a little bastard and annoy the hell out of me, but that doesn’t really bother me”
“Yeah, AJ’s a serious flirt. The boy never stops!Otherwise, he’s sweet and charming and knows how to make you feel special”
“What about you Em? Em?”
“Wha? Oh sorry, did you say something?”
“I just asked how you feel about Nick”
“Oh, that. It feels, well, nice,” She said simply.
“Nice, that’s it?”
“Not just plain nice. Nice as in waking up beside him, feeling complete and getting this warm fuzzy feeling at just the mere mention of his name. Nice as in wanting to see him again the moment after he leaves and hoping that he won’t leave. Ever”
“That was…deep and profound to say the least” Amy said sarcastically.
“Maybe you should tell him,” Lissa hinted.
“I don’t know. He just doesn’t seem like he would be serious about it”
“Give the guy credit. He may be a bit young to settle down, but he seems different around you. He seems happier and more alive. He could be feeling the way you just described as well”
“You could be right”
“I’m always right because I’m Dr. Amy, Psychiatrist for all who need me” Amy said, striking a pose and make the other two laugh, “Ha-ha, laugh all you want, but who will you come to with problems? That’s right…ME!”
“I’ll be sure to remember that, Dr. Amy” Lissa said, as they all laughed harder.
“Em, can we talk?” Nick suddenly interrupted.
“Uh, sure. Lets go to the living room for some privacy” She replied as they did so.
They sat down and didn’t say anything for two minutes. Finally, Em spoke.
“You wanna talk so talk” She said jokingly.
“Okay, this isn’t easy for me to say….”
