Chapter 43
After AJ left her place, Christin decided that she couldn’t risk AJ changing his mind and
coming back over to appologize. She wasn’t sure if she could keep herself from giving into
him. She called the airport to see if she could push her flight up. They told her she could
take the 9:00 pm flight that night. Christin said she would take it. She made all the
necessary arrangements and hung up the phone.
She then put the suitcase that AJ had brought her earlier back into her car. The clock in
her car caught her eye. 6:34. She still had an hour and a half before she needed to be at the
airport, and two and a half hours before her plane left. She found her lap-top and brought
it back into her apartment.
Although she hadn’t written Boner_69 any long letters, only quick notes, she decided it was
time to talk to him again. She logged onto the internet and clicked write.
‘Hey Boner. Well, since I haven’t told you much since last month, I’ll talk. I’m doing fine,
but I feel like crap. When I was little I was watching this show, and I saw this woman who
did anything her boyfriend said. No second thoughts or anything. And upon seeing that, I
promised myself I would never let that be me. No matter what. Well tonight I came very close to
letting that happen to me. Now I’m scared that if he comes back, it will happen. So because
of that fear I’m leaving Orlando. Yes, I was in Orlando. But I’m leaving. Orlando is a
pretty cool city . My best friend and my father came for a visit. Nothing special. I’m
trusting you with this secret, and I pray that you won’t sell it to Entertainment Weekly.
I’ve still got my same job, but I’m now the vice- president, instead of an executive vp. Plus
I’m the new manager of the Backstreet Boys. To tell you the truth, I never even knew who
the Backstreet Boys were untill last month. I’m more into people like Blink 182, and
Eminem. Infact I used to be their manager. For real. But I think I’m going to like the
Backstreet Boys. One of them, AJ, talked me into getting a tattoo. I can’t believe I did it
either, but I did. I got a sun on my belly-button. Hold up. Cell phone....’
Christin ran to her purse in the bathrooom. She pulled out her cell and checked the caller
ID. AJ McLean. Christin gathered her belongings out of the bathroom, then the rest of her
stuff from her apartment. She put it all in her car, and went back in to finish her letter.
‘Hey, well, I gotta go. That guy just called and I better leave before he decides to come
over. Ta-la..... Christin Casey.’
Christin sent the mail and shut down the computer, then unhooked it from the phone line.
As she was leaving, she remembered the salad. She ran to the kitchen and put the salad in a
bowl, and the drinks in a plastic bag. She figured, if anything, she could atleast eat while
she waited for her flight.
Christin got in her car as fast as possible. Since she was returning the car, she stopped at a
gas station and filled up the tank. The next thing she knew she was flying down the
interstate towards the airport.
