Chapter 21

The next day went by fast. Everyone questioned Christin about The Backstreet Boys. All she would say was no comment or that she was pretty sure they would sign.

Christin left the office at five o’clock sharp, which kinda made a few people curious. In the whole week that Christin had been there, never had she left early.

Christin got home at 5:10, giving her twenty minutes to get ready. She got a quick shower and decided just to dress casually. She pulled her hair up into a French twist and left little curly tendrils hanging down. She was putting on some lip gloss when the limo pulled up in front of her building.

She grabbed her purse, cell, and pager and headed out the door. She locked her door. Christin climbed in the limo and found a note from the guys.

See ya there…Brian

Hope you enjoy-Howie

We still need to talk. Kevin.

I want an answer-A.J.

What are they talking bout. Talk to me first…Nick

Christin laughed as she read that. After fifteen minutes of riding, the driver told Christin to be careful when getting out of the limo. There would probably be a lot of screaming girls.

The driver was right. Christin got out and was almost surrounded by girls hoping that the Backstreet Boys were in the limo. Christin ran though the crowd as fast as possible. She learned long ago to get though a crowd, keep your head down and try not to make eye contact.

When she got in the arena she was taken backstage. She told the security guard her name and he handed her a pass. When she was backstage she was greeted be A.J., who led her to the greenroom, where he immediately asked, “So. What’s you answer?”

“My answer?” Christin pretended to act dumb.

“You know what I’m talking about. Will you or will you not be our manager?”

“I’ll give you my answer when you are all together.” Christin had thought about A.J.’s offer, almost none stop since yesterday.

“But why? You can tell me.”

“No A.J. When you are all here, I will tell you as a group. But after the show. The better you perform, the easier my answer will be to give to you.”

“Okay well I gotta go finish getting ready for the show.”

“Yeah. I still gotta get my ticket.”

“I hope you don’t mind but I know it will be kinda hard to get, especially a front ticket, without getting mobbed so I sent someone down to get it for you.” A.J. pulled a ticket out of his pocket.

“Why isn’t that kind of you to help a little lady like myself? Why Mr. McLean, you’re just earned yourself a right fine kiss on the cheek.” Christin said in a fake a southern accent.

“Well if I earned it where is it?” A.J. asked teasingly.

“You gotta get your booty over here and get it.” Christin raised her eyebrow.

“Yes madam.” A.J. started walking towards her but A.J. was stopped, when Howie walked in.

“Hey man, it’s time to get in position for the show. Oh hi Christin. Hope you have fun. See ya after the show..” Howie walked out of the room.

“Well A.J. maybe later but now I have to get to my seat. Later.” She grabbed her purse and walked out of the room.

Christin found her seat. She was seated next to girls who couldn’t be more the 15 or 16. They all had posters of Howie, Brian, Kevin, Nick, and A.J. Some even had roses for the guys.
