Do you have a concert review or a story of when you met Plus One that you'd like to have up here? If you do then please e-mail it to us! Thanks!

Ok, I'll try not to make this too long. The day of the concert was hectic...
My concert was November 9th at Tri-County Assembly of God in Cincinnati,
OH. There weren't any reserved seats so my friend, sister and I got to the
church around 3:30, three and a half hours before the concert. So much
happened while waiting, but I won't get into that.
We ended up getting third row seats right on the aisle...so close to the
guys (we were lucky enough to have kids sit in front of us!). So, the guys
come out (I won't go into their set list...boring!). Anyways, during one of
their blackouts Gabe was on our side...so, my friend and I yelled out his
name. He pretended to look for us, and then waved in our direction. How
cool is he? Then during one song, Jason was on our side holding onto his
microphone stand and we started yelling and waving at him...so, he kind of
did a half wave while still holding onto the microphone. He has such a cute
smile! I admit, the guys looked like they were looking at me all throughout
the concert...but, I'm smart enough to know they were looking at my section.
But at the end of one of the songs (after he waved at us) I'm SURE he looked
at me while singing the last note...too cool! My friend and I definitely
embarrassed ourselves in front of them...
So, after their performance, Jaci came out. Let me tell you, she has one
hot backup singer (we later found out his name is Bennie). Anyways, he was
on our side the entire concert and he looked just like Justin Timberlake,
bandana and all. So, my friend and I nicknamed him "the bandana man!"
Everyone around us was sitting down and she was up dancing the entire time.
The bandana man saw her and they were dancing just like each other and
laughing the entire time.
After the concert we waited in the sanctuary for Bennie to come out
because he said he would, and then all of a sudden the guys of Plus One walk
by. WHOA...hot guys! We never saw Bennie so we got in the autograph
line...the usual chit chat happened we got up to the table. The guys were
really nice.
When we were leaving my friend and I were still really mad that Bennie
blew us off, so her and I headed to the back of the church to see if we could
see him by the buses. We were approaching the buses and there wasn't
security, I was shocked! Suddenly these two guys appear they are
jumping/skipping towards their bus...laughing. My friend yells out, "Gabe!"
They stop and we approach (we noticed that it's both Gabe and Nate) and she
asked, "Can I get a picture with you?" They said, "Sure." When they had
their arms around each other (all three of them), Gabe was like, "It's cold
out here." And then, my friend said, "Oh, I'm sorry." Then Nate was like,
"That's ok, we'll cuddle!" I was so jealous...my friend got to "cuddle" with
them. After the picture was taken and I was giving the camera back to my
friend Gabe was running back towards the bus door. I look over and Nate is
just standing there looking at me (I think expecting me to take a pic with
him) and I was like, "Can I get a picture with you too?" Nate nodded and
then started yelling at Gabe to get back there by us so I could get a pic.
NATE WAITED FOR ME! I was so excited. So, we put our arms around each other
while the pic was taken...and then we thanked them and left. The guys are so
cool, can you tell why Nate is my favorite now?:)

Enid, OK. Oct. 15, 2000
Okay it all started at 9 in the morning because i got up to help set the
concert up right? So i go to the Mark Price arena (where it was at)but it
was all MAN work so my friend and i left to get breakfast and then i went
home well about 10 she calls me and she is screaming!! And im like what?!
She goes I just saw Jeremy and Jaci walk to the sidewalk cafe! (a coffee
house) And so i drove down there and we casually walked by them lol and
Jeremy was facing us and he was like i think they are coming over here to
jaci it was funny. So Abby goes Hi! We recognized you and so we wanted to
say hi and i was like HI and then abby keeps talking and I'm staring at them
like wow in shock lol And then Jeremy was like we are just having our wake
up Juice lol and he looked way cute cuz he just woke up and his hair was
going everywhere and jaci had no make up on it was cute. But so anyways we
were like okay well we gotta go and i felt so stupid cuz i was just standing
there saying nothing! I like froze up but anyways....Okay so that was like
oh my goodness totally awesome and i talked to Lori about it and she said it
was a warm up thing for me so that i wont freeze when i meet all of them lol
(thanks Lori! :) ) Anyways okay so we arrive to the concert at 5 it started
at 7 so we were standing out side for an hour before they opened the doors
at 6 so my friends and i started singing praise and worship songs well while
doing that we look up and there is a window and guess what?! the window was
open and u could see in there and we saw GABE! and we thought it was a band
person or something cuz he had a hat on lol and we were all like he looks
good!! and then we realized who it was oh my gosh i thought i would die cuz
they heard us! So ya there was that little issue lol Okay the concert in
itself was awesome....I sang along and during the songs i would like stare
at Jason every once in a while and he caught me a couple of times and he
pointed at me and winked!!!! I was like oh my gosh did u see that!? And he
started laughing cuz i was jamming. It was cool and Nate waved to me during
a song and on Last flight out Gabe pointed to me it was awesome i loved my
seat!!! So anyways that was awesome for me...okay then there was like a HUGE
line at the signing session i was towards the end stinky! :) But oh well it
was worth it...I get up there to them and guess what?! I forgot to say my
name!! I was like hi! I got this testament gum for u and it has scripture
verses on the wrappers Nate was first and he was like HI that is way cool!!
And dude his eyes are gorgeous :) And then i leaned back and my friend
snapped a shot of him and gabe and me. (Cuz the security wouldnt let us
touch them or take pics behind the table with them. So then Gabe when i
handed him his gum he was like ecstatic lol he goes wow this is so cool
neat! and he chewed some lol it was cute and then *sighs* it was Jason... I
gave him his gum and he was like your sweet!! And i leaned back to take the
pic and Jason stood up and put his arm around me!!!!!!! WOW hehe So then i
gave Nathan his gum and he had his cowboy hat on and he was hilarious he was
like thanks thats a neat idea. And then Jeremy got his and he was just like
thank you :) And smiled it was cute. So after that i was pretty much
freaking out and thought i was gonna pass out lol But that was basically it
I'm sure i left out a lot but if i think of more ill e-mail u it! God bless
Tracy

Date: Sat., Sept. 30, 2000
Mission: Scottsdale, AZ. and Mesa, AZ.
Subject: Plus One
First off I barely made it at all. I was relying on my dear friend
Bethany's vehicle which was being borrowed by her father for what
turned out to be an extended period of time this particular Saturday
morning. Once my friend, her sister and I arrived in Scottsdale, AZ.,
we barely made it for the meet and greet/signings. Employees at the
Jesus Chapel Bookstore, God bless their hearts, gave us three
different directions. One set of directions when I called initially
before leaving Tucson for Scottsdale, second set of directions received
upon my friend Bethany calling them - we were lost for the first time,
then third (and most accurate) set of directions when we were lost
again and out in the boonies. We were way past the map we had. There
were streets called "Alma School" and "Oak" out there LOL. To ease the
tension, we pretended like we were the Beverly Hillbillies and spoke in
that accent as we pronounced those street names. Ha!
Upon successfully arriving at Jesus Chapel Bookstore, we realized
we'd "lucked out." Bethany, her sister Adelia and I were one of the
last people in line. They herded all of us through the meet and greet
line like a bunch of cattle! Mooo!
"OK, which item do you want Plus One to sign?" *show them what you want
them to sign* "Alright. Go ahead. Move on." *I felt like I should've
saluted someone and said yes SIR!*
Sitting from right to left if you were looking at the table propped
up on the mini-stage setup: Nathan,Jeremy,Jason,Gabe, and Nate. Nathan
was the only one with a hat on..a brownish cowboy hat which looked like
rawhide, he had on a bracelet favored a miniature dog collar with
"spikes" (no offense - I'm just describing this in my own words!
LOL)and Gabe had dyed only the tips of the ends of his hair red.
Everywhere else was his blonde color. Jason wore a yellow Purdue
t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, Jeremy was wearing a white tank
top/muscle shirt, and Nate wore a blue OP (Ocean Pacific)tank/t-shirt.
I brought along my own letter along with Heather's and Laura's
(from Plus One Planet)for the guys. I also brought with me the best
postcard by far of Arizona. It shows a huge Saguaro cactus. Saguaros
are
mainly water on the inside and weigh TONS. They look like they have
arms--they're all over the place here. The Saguaro had fallen over
onto this car at a gas station.Right behind this sceene, across the
street, you see a car insurance company's sign! Ha! The other item I
gave the guys from me was this Saguaro cactus made out of plastic and
rubber. It's placed on your vehicle's antenna and comes complete with
sunglasses, a bandanna, and a cowboy hat. Plus One thought that was
cool and had never seen anything like it before. I told them, "You
can put this on your tour bus's antenna or whatever mode of
transportation you use to get around in."
I gave them those items and then when I gave my letter to Plus
One(saved my letter for last)I said, "..and here is a letter that I
wrote.." I had just handed it to Jeremy, then Nathan said, "Oh that
one is from you??" I replied, "Yeah! Sure is!" Then Nathan said, "Ok
cool. I'll take that and I'll be sure to read it!" Well,Jeremy had
already taken it, LOL, so Jeremy handed it to Nathan. Nathan said he
had
visited the Plus One Planet website the night before that! I told
myself to not forget to tell Laura and Heather that (I didn't forget)!
My friend Bethany was taking pics of her sister Adelia and I as we
were herded through the line. Moooo! I was looking right at the members
of Plus One and I was OH so nervous. I was thinking to myself, "Um,,how
old are you, girl?? 10 or 23??" They were all fairly quiet except
Nathan - he was most talkative. Gabe was very observant! He wasn't
saying much, but you could tell he was drinking it all in by that sly
grin on his face. Nate just went all 100% in to the whole deal. Jeremy
was doing a good job of listening. I was sooo tongue-tied when I wanted
to have a picture taken with Jeremy. I hollered at my friend because it
was soo loud in there, "Hey Bethany!" she turned around and I turned
back to Jeremy and I asked, "Hey Jeremy..would you..." and then all I
could do was gesture over to my camera that Bethany was holding..and he
understood. *Can you say embarrassed?* Bethany said Jeremy was all
grins when we posed as she took the picture!
Later on my friend, her sister and I checked in to our hotel room,
freshened up, and drove over to the Mesa Amphitheatre. We ended up
waiting in line for a little over an hour before the gates opened up.
It was a good thing we arrived when we did due to the fact it was a
general admission venue. If you were looking at the stage (which
wasn't very far off the ground which made the evening awesome), we
sat/stood to the right-center close to the front. I took many pictures
of the concert. The only things they had to sell for their merchandise
(either that or what was left over)was a baby blue t-shirt, which only
came in little girl sizes, the big poster-I think the little ones were
sold out already, and their cassette/CD. I purchased the BIG poster. Heh
heh heh. There were people video taping the concert and even some who
had their cell phones on..holding the phones up so whomever was on the
phone line could hear the concert! How sweet! Jeremy came out during
only a few songs, poor guy. Other times, you'd see him as a
shadow/sillouette behind the big white tarp which "hid" Jaci
Velasquez's set up. However, I have since discovered from my friend
Tracy that Jeremy is now able to dance more! Yay!
I seem to have an internal compass as to where the band/singers's
after-concert events take place. AFTER the concert was through
Bethany, her sister Adelia and I walked around torwards the back of the
amphitheatre (it was an outdoor concert)in the area where they had
been selling water and sodas. Did I mention how HOT "dry heat" in AZ
is?
LOL
Anyhooo..There was a dividing fence between outside the
amphitheatre
and the street/parking lot. We had parked fairly close to the
amphitheatre in the parking lot and I said sarcastically,
"Hey, um, I forgot where we parked! ::wink wink:: I think we parked
over here somewhere.." My friend and her sister said, "Uh oh. Here we
go!" We watched as the guys signed autographs afterwards and posed
with the people which lasted for like an hour...we were close to them,
but just watched from behind. AFTER that..I watched very carefully
where
they trailed off to----- ::muhuhahahahaha:: We followed them from a
distance. That lead us to this area that had huge trees and overgrown
bushes all around behind the amphitheatre. Jaci's crew's buses, her
bus, and Plus One's bus were in this area. *By the way-their tour
bus license plate number was 0016 - BA. I memorized it and took a
mental picture of it. I'm good at that. Heh heh heh. Plus One's bus is
like a beige, cream, or whitish color with a pinkish/reddish color on
it
with swirly designs on the back of it. :-) We saw Nathan heading to
their bus, and he stopped to talk to some older folks. I said, "Hi
Nathan!!"through the fence at the buses and we waved really big. He
looked up at us, we were about 18 or 20 feet away looking through this
open spot in the trees/bushes....and Nathan said, "Hi there!" but
didn't come over. He just kept looking over at us while he was talking.
After that little adventure,I wanted to see how far we could walk back
in the area where the buses were. I wasn't going to "press my luck" or
anything. I was walking at a slow but steady pace. Then Bethany and her
sister Adelia started chickening out on me! I exclaimed, "You GUYYYYS!
Come on!" The event staff was throwing some sort of party close by so
no worries there, and the gate was wide open. I said to my friend and
her sister, "COME ON!!" However, I couldn't get them to come along with
me. I didn't want to be alone even though I probably would've done it
without them but decided, "nah."
My pictures of the meet and greet and the concert can be currently
found here at http://www.plusoneplanet.com Click "exclusive pics" then
look underneath "Major thanks to Lori.." I am working on having them
put
up on Plus One Fans website. That, my friends, is the end.
This is really long, but it is worth it!!! The first time I saw Plus
One was on Sep. 4 in Colorado. It was so awesome. Jeremy sat on the side
the whole time because of his ankle, and me and my friend kept watching him
'cuz he made weird faces at the guys the whole time. Then, during "Written
On My Heart" he did dance moves with his crutches. It was really cute.
After they performed my friend Brittany, Liana, and I tried to see if we
could meet them. Salvador was performing, so I came back in and my dad told
me to follow him. I did, but I was confused. I asked him where we were
going and he took me outside, and I look around the corner and there's all
the guys. I was so psyched. Nathan said hi and took a quick pic with me and
the other guys had to get inside. I looked at Nate and he looked at me and
said, "Hey! I saw you singing all the words!" and I just smiled and nodded
my head.
Then I went to my friends and told 'em I had met them. They didn't
believe me. So, about 15 minutes later we walked outside to cool off 'cuz
the air conditioning was broken. Then I smiled at them and said, "Oh look,
there's Jason and Gabe." They flipped out!! It was so funny! Brittany
waved to Gabe, he kinda laughed at her and waved back.
So, then Nate came out and my friend Liana just saw the top of his head
and started to cry. She ran around the corner and buried her head in her
hands. I knew she wouldn't meet him if I didn't do anything, so I told
Brittany we were gonna go get him. She kept telling me he wouldn't come and
he wouldn't want to talk to us, but I ignored her. I went up to him and told
him that she was crying, and he was all worried until I told him why. Then
he started to laugh and asked where she was.
He went and sat down next to her and put his face in his hands and asked
why she was crying. She literally couldn't talk to him. It was hilarious.
He asked her name 3 times, and then he looked at me and asked me and Britt.
It was so funny. He was so nice to her!!! We each took a pic with him too!
I have mine in my room and in my locker. Its funny 'cuz tons of girls ask if
he's my boyfriend, and then others say we're a cute couple. That cracks me
up, but they all think he's hot and wanna buy the CD now! Then we talked to
him and told him how much his music meant to us and challenged our walk with
God, and he smiled real big and said that was the best compliment he could
ever get. He was sooo sweet, and after 15 minutes his security made him go
inside.
After that we got in line for autographs and joked around with Jeremy.
We told him we saw his "crutch dance" and he laughed and said he was glad
someone saw it. We talked to all the guys, and Nathan and Nate said it was
to see me again. When Nate saw Liana he asked her is she was ok after
crying, and she told him yeah and he just laughed.
They were SOOO cool, and when I met them again on the 26th Nate
remembered me!! He asked me how he knew me and I told him that I met him in
Pueblo, and then I said I was with the girl who cried. Then he laughed and
said he remembered. He said, "We were on the street corner, right? Thanks
again for all you said. I still remember some of it. I appreciate it!". I
said no problem and thanked him and he just smiled.
Sorry that was so long, but I just wanted to let you all know how AWESOME
these guys are, and its so cool to see they are following God's will and
loving every minute of it!!! God Bless!!! Allie P.S. Liana is still
humiliated that she cried in front of Nate, but she goes on and on about how
sweet he was about it!!! :o)
My friends and I went to the Brown Bag Event in Atlanta,GA and afterwards, when they were signing autographs,Nate talked to me! He looked straight at me and said I love your hair thing.Actually,it was a hair wrap, but he did not know that.I looked straight at him,and said Uh,thanks.I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brittany

I went to a Plus One concert in June.....it was at a book store in Arlington
Tx.
It was so cool........after the concert me and my sister were standing in
line to get autograph`s and when we finally got up there I was talking to
them and they were signing in my autograph book.....well, I had a special
page for each one of them to sign and when it finally got passed down to
Jason, (he was at the end of the table )
he looked at it and was like " Oh cool! I get my own page?!?!?! " I kinda
laughed because he said it so cute and said "Yeah!" he was like......"That is
so awesome! Thanks! " Well, after he signed it I smiled and said
thankyou and then was walking back to get into the car w\ my sister and when
I looked down to read what each one had written on their page, I was looking
at Jason`s page and it read.........
" Jason Perry-much-love " but it had a heart at the end instead of "love" and
he also put a little smiley face by it. It was so sweet! The guys are really
cool. They treat you just like any person and are not arrogent or anything at
all! It was an awesome day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here in Minnesota, the concert was at this place called Northrop Auditorium,
and they just happened to be doing construction so we had to park 3 blocks
away, but no matter! Nothing could keep us from Plus One! So we walked
(Minnesota also happens to be unbelievably freezing this time of year -- it
was only 50 some degrees out). Okay, anyways, so we finally found the
entrance after walking around a million times and we went in. Sarah (my
buddy) and I went up to the Will Call window and got our tickets, row 7 seats
1 and 2 (you won't believe how good the seats were! The auditorium slanted
downward so we were so close to the stage we could see practicaly every
little detail of anything). Alright, so Sarah and I were there and hour and a
half early. When we got into the main hall we bought two huge posters of Plus
One (we'd already gotten free big ones that look different at the bookstore,
but you can never have enough Plus One stuff right?). We had also made a sign
for them that said, "We Love You Plus One!" We used this cool glitter glue
stuff that glowed in the dark so Plus One could see it. It attracted alot of
attention. Every single person who entered the main hall as the time
approached had to look at the sign. We were quite proud of ourselves.
So, we hear the doors open and we get up to go inside the main area and Sarah
sees this sign that says, "No cameras allowed during this performance or
we'll confiscate your camera." I died. Just kidding. I wasn't cheerful that's
for sure. But I soon forgot and settled in for the wait of Plus One and Jaci.
Like I said, we got there early, so we just sat and waited until the time.
Finally 7:30 rolled around and the auditorium went dark! The announcer was
all jacked up. He kept messing up on the introduction. He was like,"And this
group has a freshmen...I mean debut album called The Promise!" Etc., etc.,
anyways after he was done blathering, the stage went pitch black and four
guys walked onto stage in black robes with a Plus One sign in the corner of
the sleeve (Jeremy was still sitting out because of his ankle). Everyone went
balistic! Epecially me and Sarah.
The lights on stage went up and the guys turned around and began singing "It
is Well With My Soul" in four part harmony (Nate must have had a cold 'cause
his voice was kind of scratchy like he could hardly reach the high notes).
Then they suddenly stopped and as soon as "It is Well With My Soul" ended the
music for "My Life" come on and it was so cool! The bass was turned up so the
auditorium just rang (I loved it)! The guys go,"My life!" Like they normally
do and they ripped of their robes to reveal their normal clothes. Nate was so
intense! He was staring really hard into the balcony (even thhough there was
no one there) and very serious. Anyways, so they ditched the robes and danced
the moves, which was cool 'cause I've never seen them dance before. Nate was
wearing these tye-dyed black and white pants with that black sleevless shirt
that has the studded things on it. There was a big tiger face in the center.
His hair was cute. Kind of orange.
Jason was wearing jeans with studded things on the side and a cut-off Harley
Davidson shirt. His hair was brown with blond highlights. Gabe was wearing a
red shirt and that's all I rememeber....and Nathan was wearing a red/orange
type of cowboy shirt and red pants with orange shoes. He looked very cute and
very hyper. He always had his head moving and he mouthed everyone's part to
himself. He really threw hhimself into it! So they went strait from "My Life"
to "Soul Tattoo" and after that, Jason talked and explained why Jeremy was
missing and he said,"He normally wouldn't do this, but since Jeremy likes
Minnesota so much he'll come out and do what he can with us. He also like
Minnesota stuff. He's got a cool shirt! Please welcome Jeremy Mhire!" We all
went psycho. Jeremy came out and took the micraphone. He explained about his
foot and why he can't dance on it and them he asked us if we liked his
Minnesota Golden Gophers t-shirt. It was full of glittery stuff. Real cool.
Then they sang something, I don't remeber what. I think "God is in This
Place." Then I don't remeber the order they went in, but they also sang, "The
Promise", "I Run to You", "Last Flight Out", and "Written on my Heart". For
"Written on my Heart", Gabe tried to get everyone in the auditorium to dance.
he gave us some lessons before the song and then they sang it. Man, that was
the best time of my life seeing Plus One! And, the best part of it was, they
kept looking at me and Sarah! Nate pointed at our sign and smiled and waved.
Jason waved alot, Nathan looked and smiled, Gabe was always looking at us,
and I don't know if Jeremy saw it or not. Oh well, they are sooooooo cool!
Okay then Jaci come on and she rocked the house. A very awsome performance.
Afterwards, we got in line for Plus One to sign our stuff. We had been
waiting for awhile and suddenly screaming!!! Everyone was screaming! Even
Sarah even though she couldn't see them. What a kook! The line went pretty
fast and we got up there. I almsot died again! Jeremy was first and he kept
looking at me like he remembered us from the bookstore and he did. He
goes,"Hey! You guys were at the in-store appearence weren't you?!" Sarah and
I were like,"Yeah!" I was psyched that he remembered. He says,"Yeah! I
remember you." He looked at me! He goes,"That's cool that you came to see us
twice. Awesome!" So, now you can guess I like Jeremy . We moved down the row
to Nate who remembered us right away. How, I'll never know because I didn't
think he was paying much attention to anything at the bookstore. Oh yeah, he
looked right at me when he was walking out at the end. He told me, "Bye!" and
waved. He has very pretty eyes in real life. He signed our Plus One sign and
said it was really cool. He goes,"Looks like you girls spent alot of time on
this!" I thought about telling him,"Yeah, 15 minutes." But I decided not to.
Sarah would've killed me.
So then we went to Jason who also remebered us right away, too. I didn't
think he was paying much attention either! He smiles at us and signs our
stuff says, "Hey, I saw you guys today at the bookstore!" Then was Gabe and
then Nathan. Gabe looked like he remembered, but he didn't say anything.
Nathan smiled, but looked really wiped out. Poor kid. Anyways, it really made
my day that they remembered us! And I got pictures of each of them! Yay! I
can't wait to develope them.
Ok, i went to the concert in Plymouth, Michigan on Sept.21. It was
awesome! Ok, many of ya'll have heard about the songs they sing, so I
ain't gonna bore you with it! Anyway, after Plus One sang, they had Jaci
sing and then they gave an intermission. That's when it started. My
friends and I decided to sneak off and find the charter bus so we could
go talk to them and we see this "security guard." And we're like, Ok,
lets go back in before anyone finds us. So, then the guy starts waving
to us, and we start running toward him and it turns out to be JASON!!!
We start freakin' out cause Jason is my absolute fav. He's like, hey
whats up? And we start talkin' to him. It was sooo cool! Then, I'm like,
lets get a pic. So me and Jason had to go under a street light cause it
was so dark to take a pic.(he must have wanted it to turn out, otherwise
cause it was his idea we go to a streetlight!) So, we had our arms
around each other and took the pic. It turned out really nice. I have it
framed and on my dresser! So, then, my friend Brittany goes to take a
pic with him, and my film goes haywhire. He's like: Oh, crap! (that's
what he said!) And, then he starts laughin hystarically cause we were
goin crazy cause we all wanted his pic! It was so fun! Then, he wanted
to know our names! I must have said my name about three times! And he
remembered that i was the one in the front seats! Then, he's like: It's
chily, I'm gonna go inside. And we are all like, bye! It was awesome!
Then, in the autograph line, i asked him to sign my t-shirt and to put
my name on it, and he remembered my name! It was a total dream come
true. I'll never forget it!
As most of you know, I saw my guys (? plus one) and jaci v. last night in
naperville,
illinois. The traffic was sooo terrible on the way there, it was crazy. It
took us 3 ½
hours. Isn’t that crazy?????? Lol anywayz, I went with my best friend cassie
and my
mom. We stayed at a Days Inn, but believe me it was a dive. Me and cassie took
pics of
different things there while holding a sign that said ghetto motel. It was soo
funny!!!!
Well we got to the college it was at about an hour early cuz that’s when the
doors
opened. We already had tickets but we wanted to get there early. There were
like a
million little girls there that were screaming when the doors were opened they
screamed and the guys weren’t even there. We were laughing! ?Me and
Cassie were
bored so we started wandering around the school and we bumped into one of jaci’s
trumpet players, and we talked to him a little bit. I’m so glad we didn’t get
in trouble for
wandering down the halls. It was sooo funny. Oh, I forgot to say, b4 they
opened the
doors, me and cassie walked behind the building to see if we could see their
tour
busses or whatever and we did!!! But we didn’t see them ? lol oh well –
I took a pic of
one of the busses – we kept hiding behind this semi-truck that was there in case
we
weren’t supposed to be back there – It was the funniest thing ever! Anyways I’ll
get to
the concert now. As u probably know, plus one opened for jaci so they came out
while
the guy was introducing them as one of the most popular new groups or whatever.
Jeremy’s ankle’s still not totally well so he still can’t dance so he didn’t
come out till
later and was only out for like 3 songs or something! Anyways,They opened with
“It is
well with my soul” (part of it) acapella and they were wearing black choir
robes. When
they were done the music stopped and they tore their robes off and started
singing “my
life” I thought that was the coolest part when they did that. Then they sang
“Soul Tattoo”
I think. They talked pretty much inbetween every song too, but anyways… Then
they
sang God is in this place and that’s the first song jeremy sang w/ them. Then
they
sang I run to you. During part of that song, jason was on our side of the
stage so I
waved at him like other ppl had done, and guess what?????? He waved back
ahhhhh!!!
It gets better keep reading. Anways, then they sang The promise The next
song they
sang b4 it they were like when we recorded our album we wanted to show how
much
we loved God, but we also wanted to show that we liked girls, but wanted to sing
a pure
song, and they sang Last Flight Out This is when it gets even better. During
the song,
Jason came to our side of the stage again and this time me and cassie both
started
waving at him, cuz she knows I like him so much! Lol ? and during one of
the parts with
you in it or something, he pointed at us ahhhh, I was screaming the whole
time I
don’t think I’ve ever screamed as much as I did at that concert in my whole
life. The last
song they sang was Written on my Heart and they were like stand up if you like
to sing
stand up if you like to dance stand up if you breathe air (that was nate)
lol and so
they were like sing and dance along with us and after that song they were done.
Then
jaci did her concert. This is where the story gets a sadder note ? We
found out they
weren’t doing autographs at the place where the concert was - it was some place
in
another suburb of chicago but we didn’t realize that, so someone gave us
directions,
and we found out they were most likely wrong, which didn’t make us (especially
me)
happy, so to make a very long story short (ask me if you wanna know more) I
never got
autographs or got to talk to them at all. I was kinda frustrated last night I
didn’t want to
be, but some of you know I was planning what to say and I was gonna get a pic
with
jason, so it’s kinda annoying I don’t know why they couldn’t just do it where
the
concert was but oh well hopefully I’ll get to see them again. Well it was an
awesome
concert and I’m getting a pic disk w/ the pics so you’ll get to see them.
I love you guys
Dawn
p.s. I got a shirt too it’s really cute! ?
The first time I ever saw Plus One was at the beginning of September when
they were in Savoy, Illinois for the Jesus Jamboree. My best friend and I
had gotten there early because there were a bunch of bands playing and we had
friends that were playing, so we went to see them. Plus One wasn't scheduled
to play until 8, so around 6 we left and went to eat and we got back around
7:30, and it was *packed*. It was crazy, too, cause there were girls that
were screaming and crying and had "Plus One" written all over their bodies.
Kinda funny;-) Anyhow, the concert started and they opened with "My Life" and
they actually sang just about every one of their songs, and Gabe also played
the guitar while they led worship for a while. It was awesome that they did
that, cause at the second concert I went to they didn't do that. Jeremy, who
had hurt his foot the previous week, came on and sang a few songs with them.
(You know, the slower ones that don't require much movement.) After the
concert was over, they signed autographs and since the line was about as long
as the state of Texas, I decided to sit and wait til it was all done, so I
was the very last one to go through. A guy who had been working with all of
the bands behind the stage was talking to me and he gave me Plus One's sweaty
towel(yuck) and told me to give it to them. I got up there and Nate was
first, and he said hey to me and signed my picture, next was Gabe, he signed
my picture and passed it on, then Jason, and then Jeremy. When I got to
Jeremy, he looked up at me, looked back down and then looked *back* up at me
and was staring at me. I was like, "Um...hi?" He told me he liked my shirt
(?) and then he passed my picture onto Nathan. I'm looking at Nathan as he's
signing my picture and then I remembered that I had a funny story about the
shirt that he was wearing. So I blurt out like a fool, "I have a funny story
about your shirt!" and as I look closer, I realize it's not his shirt, but
it's Gabe's shirt, who's at the other end of the table. By then I was really
embarrassed so I was like, "Oh, nevermind." My best friend and I are about
to walk away and Jeremy was like, "You can tell me the story." So I told him
the story about how when Gabe came out I thought he had deoderant all over
his shirt, but it was just the designs on it, and Jeremy laughed and was
like, "That wouldn't surprise me."
The second time I saw them was on Friday, September 22 in Naperville, IL when
they opened for Jaci Valesquez. It was my best friend and I again, only this
time, she had hurt her ankle so she was on crutches. She was at the front of
the line so she wouldn't get trampled by all of the people behind us.
Anyhow, two of my guy friends from another suburb had came to see us so as
she(my best friend, wendi) waited at the front, I told the guys to walk
around back with me to see if we could see any of the guys. Well, we got
back there, and I saw all of the buses and two people walking towards a door.
As we got closer, I realized that it was Jeremy and Jason. I asked them if
they were in Plus One, just to be sure, and they were like, "Yep." Then I
was like, "We came back here to see if we could get a handshake." So then
Jason stuck out his hand and was like, "Hi, I'm Jason." I shook his hand and
introduced myself, and then Jeremy shook my hand and introduced himself. He
was looking at me like he couldn't remember how he knew me, but that he maybe
knew me somehow. I was tempted to say, "Jesus Jamboree, Savoy...the girl who
made a fool out of herself over Gabe's shirt." But I didn't;-) My two guy
friends shook their hands, even though they had made fun of them the whole
time, and then we walked around front. They left, and then I went inside and
waited for the show to start. When Plus One finally came on, it was
*awesome*. They walked out in choir robes that had a Plus One symbol on the
chest, and they started singing "It Is Well With My Soul" acapella and in
perfect harmony, and it was beautiful. Then all of a sudden, they ripped off
the robes and started singing "My Life". They didn't do as many of their
songs as they had done before since they were just opening, but it was still
really incredible. They did "Last Flight Out", "I Run to You", "Written On
My Heart", "The Promise" "Soul Tattoo", "God Is In This Place" and I think
that's it. They put on an awesome show, and what is so great about those
guys is that their heart is truly about ministry and being servants for
Christ. Afterwards I met them and Jaci at a bookstore, and that was awesome,
too. Jeremy remembered me from before the show, and Nate told my best friend
that he had noticed her in the audience cause her crutches had been sticking
up.
I have been to two Plus One concerts already and I am going to another one
in Fort Wayne, IN on November 12. The first one was at Jason Perry's home
church, which is where I am from also. I've known Jason for like forever.
Anyway, it was at my church and that place was jammed packed. The building
is only supposed to seat 900, and we had over 1000 people in there. The
second concert was at the Kentucky State Fair and they were with Jaci
Velasquez who is also cool. We talked to Jason after the concert and all the
little girls were having him sign thier arms. He was like 'I know you guys
so why am I signing your stuff'. It was funny. Well, I guess thats all. I
can't wait to see them in November along with my college friends.
This is a story of when I first saw +1.
It was at SWC. I had never heard +1 before July 26, 2000. From the first time I heard them, I REALLY liked them. I was, like, wow! Finally a boy band I can like!
When they first came onstage, I screamed as loud as I could. I totally loved seeing them sing and dance. I thought,"They are so talented!" I was kinda dissapointed when the concert ended, but I was looking foward to the next day, when I would see them again.
The next day, I saw them while they were soundchecking. Before they came on, two friends and I went to the Exhibit Tent, where all the artists' stuff was selling. I got their CD and a picture of the group. When I saw that they were going to autoghraph, i told my friends, "Man, I've GOT to get their autograph! I just HAVE to!"
Well, I saw them sing, and guess what? I sat on the "good side," as Nate called it, and sst on first row. I was REALLY excited, especially when the guys looked down and smiled to me.
Then, after they sang, I went to the long line to get hteir autograph. Before they started signing, Jason and Nathan had to go to the restroom, so they went in this little car. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO funny!!!!!! A crowd of people followed them to the portable restrooms, and then surranded them (sp?).
Well, after a 45-minute wait, I finally got their autograph. I just smiled to most of the guys, but when I got to Nat , he asked me," You were on the fun side, right?" I was, like, Yeah, I was. Then I asked if I could take his pic, and he said,"Sure!" So I did.
Then, I was like, "Wow! Nate remembered me! That is soooooo exciting!" I mean, there were LOTS of people, but he remembered me. That was the best day of my summer (or, as my youth pastor says, the highlight of my summer). I'll never, ever, forget that day. : )
Hey! This is about the wonderful Plus One Concert. It was at Celerbration 2000. I had never heard of Plus One but I
was very excited. When they came out I screamed as loud as I could. And I had very good seats too. Their opening
song was "My Life" I love that song. It totally could relate to me. I danced, screamed and tons of other stuff. Then
that night something also happened... I met the Lord Jesus Christ. And I have tryed to be faithful too. Plus One has
changed my life and I love them all with all of my heart and soul. Then after the Plus One concert, I bought a
picture of them and got all of them to sign it. They did and something else also happened, I got a hug from Nate
Cole. I told Nate Cole to never stop singing for the lord and that the band had great music witch all of us know that
they do. Thanks for hearing my story of the Plus One concert.

Longs in-store event
June 12, 2000
PLus one had a concert at Carpenters home church (nathan's home church), and unfortunately i
couldn't go, because i was driving back form camp with my youth group....BUT... the next day i
did get to see them!!! They were at a local christian bookstore, where they sang a few songs and
signed autographs. Well, i REALLY wanted to get a pic with them, but as soon as i got inline,
the announcer guy said "Plus one has to catch a plane, so they can only sign one thing for each
person, and they can not take posed pictures". I was really bummed. Well, a few minutes later,
2 little girls from my church saw me and said "Hey". Since i was in line in front of them, i
told them they could dome to were i was standing. One of the girls' mom came up to me and said
"today is her (her daughters) b-day, i was wondering if you would ask plus one to take a picture
with her"...of course i said sure. So when we got up to were plus one was, i asked them, and
since they are sweethearts, they said yes. Well, they took a pic with all 3 of us and with my
camera too!!!! So i have a pic with plus one, and no one else at that in-store event got one.
Now, i know other people have pics with them, but i was really happy to get one!!!
San Jose, California
Berean Christian Stores
Saturday, May 27, 2000
On May 27 we saw Plus One at a Berean Christian Store in San Jose. Their
website said they would be there from 2-4 so we got there a little after 2.
They had a stage and a bunch of chairs set up for Plus One. So we’re
standing there waiting and nothing's happening. So my dad asked an employee
when Plus One was coming out. They're all, “Oh, they already did”. I was
like, “No way, this cannot be happening”. I felt like crying. I mean, we had
driven almost two hours to see them and I had been counting the days. Then
the manager overheard us talking and said that the time on the website was
wrong, and they were going to do a little private concert in the back room
of the store for anyone who got there late. Cool, huh?
The people at Berean said that the guys could each pick out two things for
free. So we waited while they "shopped". Me and my sister were standing over
by the songbooks and I noticed this guy standing next to me who looked like
Nathan. But his hair was different, it was all spiky, so I thought, nah,
that’s not him. This was way back in May, so the only pictures I had seen
of him were when his hair was kinda brushed forward, like in the album
pictures. So me and my sister are standing there, talking about Plus One
and how it was so cool we get to meet them and everything. Then the
Nathan-look-alike walked away and I noticed a pen in his hand. Then some
people came up to him asking for his autograph. It turns out it was Nathan!
We must have sounded like idiots! My sister told me on the way home that she
noticed him smiling when we were talking but didn't think anything of it.
Oh, well. So we went up to him and asked
for his autograph. I have this scrapbook of singer’s autographs and I have
the singer’s name at the top with a few pictures and a space for
the autograph. When I asked Nathan to sign his, he’s like, “look at my hair
in these pictures, it’s so flat!” *lol* When I asked Nate to sign his, he
started laughing and is like, “I’ve never had anyone do this for me before!
Hey Gabe, check this out, these are sweet!” Gabe said “Yeah I got one too”.
When Jason saw his, he’s all “Aw, these are sweet, you must have taken a lot
of time to make them!” They are so sweet!
A while later we went in the back room for the little concert. By the way,
Gabe got a Bleach CD, Nate got a CD, I couldn't see what it was; Jeremy got
a book for his dad for Father's Day, I don't know what Jason got, and Nathan
got a book and the Sonic Flood CD. Nathan was standing next to us in the
back room and my mom said to him that the Sonic Flood CD was really good. He
said "Yeah, that's what I heard". My dad and brother were wearing their
Royal Ranger shirts (it's like Awana's, if you go to an Assemblies of God
church you would know what it is). Nathan said to my dad "Oh, you guys are
in Rangers?" He said that he and three of the other guys were in it, too.
So when they finally were all in the back room, Nate asked if anyone had any
questions. Someone asked, "Are any of you guys married?" They all started
laughing and were like "No way, we're not even close to thinking about it!"
It was funny. Then Gabe got his guitar and they sang “Be” and “Soul Tattoo”
. Then they sang the chorus to “God Is In This Place”. WOW! They sing so
good! It gave me chills listening to them. They are REALLY talented. And
they were sitting no more than 3 feet in front of me, cuz the room was
pretty small, it was probably just where the employees ate or something.
The guys just sat on chairs and I sat on a chair right directly in front of
them. I could have reached out and touched Nathan and Jeremy if I wanted
to. It was kinda funny, cuz the lady standing behind me was taking
pictures, and she asked if me and my sister could sit on the floor so our
heads wouldn't be in the pictures. So the guys are in the middle of singing
and all of a sudden we just get off our chairs and sit on the floor.
Everyone was looking at us, probably wondering why in the world we were
sitting on the floor. *lol* It was one of the best days of my life. I got
a picture with all the guys and one with Nathan. I got their autographs,
too. They are really nice, too. They acted just like normal teenaged guys.
They were really sweet and didn't act stuck up at all. It was so cool!
Sacramento, California
Capital Christian Center
May 28, 2000
The concert was so totally AWESOME! First they sang “My Life”. It was really
cool. They came jumping out from backstage. Then they sang “Soul Tattoo”,
“God Is In This Place”, “Run To You”, “Be” (Gabe played his guitar for this
song), “Last Flight Out”, and “The Promise”. Then they did an offering break
and prayed for Plus One. During offering, they sang “I Will Rescue You”,
then the last song was “Written On My Heart”. Gabe was funny, because he
said that Written On My Heart was his favorite because he has a solo in it.
After that, because it was Memorial Day Weekend, they sang "America".
They danced great- they were really smooth and totally in sync with each
other. They danced to “My Life and "Written On My Heart".
The concert was at Capital Christian Center in Sacramento, where Nate went
to church. His dad is actually the pastor of the church. The place was
PACKED! The church is the biggest in Sacramento- my dad said it probably
holds about 3500. If you got there late, you would have had to stand because
there were no seats left. It was funny because Nate said he had been asking
his dad all week, "Do you think anyone is going to come?"
When Jeremy started to talk about the next song, Nate and Gabe were
whispering something to each other. Jeremy's like "Hey guys, secrets don't
make friends!" Nate goes, "Actually, it's offering time". Jeremy was joking
around and walks to the side of the stage pretending to be hurt, saying
"I'll be over here if you guys need me". It was really funny and the
audience started laughing.
Another funny part was when Nate's dad, Pastor Rick, was going to pray for
the group, and he forgot Nathan's name! Nathan's like, "How could you forget
my name, it's the same as your son's!". Pastor Rick said "Sorry, Nathan,
you know how it is, sometimes your mind just goes blank". Nathan's like,
"Sure I understand, Pastor BOB". It was hilarious! When Pastor Rick turned
his back Nathan started making faces at him.
I also saw Nate's brother Travis at the concert. He looks sooooo much like
Nate, except Travis dyed his hair bright red on the top.
I got lots of pictures during the concert. We were sitting in the 10th row
on the side. In the autograph line, I asked Nate if I could take his
picture, and he's like "Sure, go ahead!". Then he smiled for me. Then Jeremy
saw me taking a picture of him and smiled! They are so sweet and nice! It
was one of the best concerts I've been to. I'll never forget it!
