Chapter 5

Andrea

"Score, I made it to the other side. King me." I said lazily to Taylor who looked back at the checkers board as if just noticing it for the first time, for the ump-teenth time. The first concert in LA at the Hollywood Bowl had been over a week and a half ago. It was a total rush, bigger than anything that could ever be explained (so was the second show) and I was always thinking about whether or not I would ever be the person people came to see.

Some time during, before or after that show (I don't quite remember) I got to talking to the guys a little more (I started out by explaining to Zac the whole spot incident) and I grew to enjoy the witty remarks and sarcasm their company brought. Driving to different cities was always boring (we were on our way to the 3rd city by now) and me and Alexa had gotten tired of everyone on the bus Angie had rented for us, they were extremely awake. So we had hopped onto the guys bus (things were always nuts people everywhere and no one where they were supposed to be unless it was night).

I sat on the floor, my chin resting on my knee and my head pounding from the sound of the rain hitting the roof of the bus. Taylor sat across from me looking very stuck. I have to admit, out of all the guys, Taylor was the one I was really getting to enjoy talking to. A few days ago he had destroyed everything I ever believed in, at least about guys anyways. You see, I had always felt the guys were ego-driven sex-mainiacs (yeah, that's about it) and after the third conversation with all the guys I realized that there were at least three guys in the world that I was pretty much wrong about. Needless to say I was very shocked and luckily Taylor had been the one to explain that they really weren't that strange and that good guys really do exist (a concept I never thought possible). Don't get me wrong, I've never been one of the female protestors all men are evil, kind of girls. I just felt that guys were just into everything for play.

Taylor twisted his mouth the other side of his face, thinking about what to do next. Zac sat behind me, on the built-in couch of the louge area, mildly cursing under his breath at whatever nintendo type game he was playing. Other than that it was pretty much still in the back area we were all sitting in.

Then, out of nowhere, I heard Alexa squeal something to the effect of 'Stop tickling me.' Most likely, this was directed at Isaac, considering we were the only one's on the bus (very strange, there must be a party in mine, god I should have hid my stuff) aside from Mr.Hanson who was in the front next to the driver, and I highly doubt that Alexa had some sort of multiple personality syndrome.

I looked to Taylor, who I saw roll his eye's. I had to bite my bottom lip to keep from laughing. All of a sudden we were all lurched forward (including the checker's pieces, damn, I was winning) when the bus came to a screeching halt.

"Oww!" I cried out tipping over. I pushed myself back up. "You did that on purpose!" I said pointing an accusing finger at Taylor. "I don't know how you did that, but you knew I was finally beating you so you sabatoged it." He opened his mouth to explain to me how that was impossible, when Alexa burst through the curtain that was used as a door to seperate the rooms, closely followed by Isaac.

"Well that was fun!" she said happily stepping over the scattered game and jumped on the opposite end of the couch from where Zac sat. I had just begun to start picking up the checker's when Mr.Hanson opened the curtain, almost knocking over Isaac who was still standing by the "door". "Sorry. Hey you guys, we stopped at a gas station to fill up. If you need to get anything now's the time." he announced and left. Immediatly Alexa jumped up. "I've got to get some more Tylonel. Anyone need anything?" she asked, scanning everyone's faces. Everyone shook their heads except for Zac who asked her to get him a Dr.Pepper.

As soon as she was gone, I looked up my at Isaac and arched my eyebrows trying to contain the lop-sided smile that I couldn't stop. "What?" he asked, noticing he was being watched. "She is SO in love with you!" I said unable to keep my voice down. "No way. We're just friends." he said giving me a disapproving look. Taylor and I exchanged a knowing look. "I think she's right." he said. Isaac looked back and forth between the two of us. "I don't know what your talking about. There's no way. I think I would notice something like that." It was hard not to laugh. "Oooh, Isaac! Stop tickling. Oooh." Zac said doing a poor imitation of a female voice. Isaac scowled at us all and turned on his heels to leave.

Once the game was picked up, I stood up and brushed my shirt down. "Well, I'm exhausted so I'm gonna see if I can kick everyone out of my bus and sleep." I said. Zac, who was now deeply engrossed back into his game, mumbled something to the effect of "Peace." and Taylor threw his hand up which I lightly rubbed my own against and with that, I was out.

It was pouring outside so I ran to my bus and was grateful to see that hardly anyone was there. I didn't know where they had gone and I didn't care but I did stop and tell Joe, the driver, that if anyone did run back in, the party had moved to the Hanson bus. With everything out of the way I walked back to my bunk and layed down, someone was in the bunk above me, most probably Bryan, and it was obvious that he was out by the sonic boom his snoring created.

I had been dozing off, ready to let everything go when my eyes fluttered open and were greeted by a set of very large, very close, very blue eyes. "Holy shit!" I said sitting up. That was a bad idea considering the bunks were about 2 and a half feet high so I ended up almost knocking myself out on the wood. I looked back over and saw Taylors heaving shoulders and he laughed in his hands so he wouldn't wake the other person. "Why would you do something like that?" I whispered groaning. 'Where was that Tylonel Alexa went to get. This is gonna bruise.' Not getting any response I stuck my tongue out at him (Yeah, I know, real mature). "Well, you can just show yourself right out." I said turning my back to him. "I don't think so." he replied. "You re-directed about 17 people back to my bus so now I'm invading yours, and I'm not gonna be bored by myself for the rest of the trip, so come on." he said and grabbed my right hand, literally dragging me out of bed and to the back lounge.

"Fine you jerk." I said. I spent the next hour or so not sleeping. Instead I put in a tape of old episodes of Simpsons, Friends, Titus and That 70's Shows. "I'm gonna get water, ya want some?" I asked getting up to head out to the front where the cooler was. He shook his head not bothering to look up at me and I left. "Hey, Joe. When are we getting there?" I asked interrupting a conversation he was having with some lady I didn't know. "We should be there any minute." he threw over his shoulder. As I was walking back to the lounge I noticed that Bryan was still asleep and poked my head into his bunk. 'That is so cute! He still sleeps with a stuffed rabbit, or maybe it's a bear....either way, I gotta get a camera for next time.' I thought to myself, and tip toed away.

"Miss me?" I asked, throwing the curtain to the side dramatically and shutting it behind me. "Yeah, I was gettin worried. Thought you fell asleep on the ice box." he said sarcastically. "Hahaha, did I ever tell you how fun- hey what are you doing? That's the best show!" I said, noticing the fact that he was fast forwarding through Titus. "It's stupid." he said simply. "Ooh, you are so going down. Gimme that remote control." I said lunging at his left hand. "Woaw," he cried throwing it behind his back. I jumped to the left and saw no way of getting it there so I leaned over his shoulder. I couldn't reach because he was sitting on it, so I pulled back and gave him a partially annoyed look. I started to lean in again, to really create some major damage on the neck region, when he did probably the most surprising thing (which if he did it just to get me to forget about the remote, it worked). He leaned over and kissed me.
