"Not again!" I screamed in exasperation. This was the third cappucino machine I've broken in the past month. Damn that Y2K bug. My New Years Day will now be spent cappacino machine shopping. Yay! (that's the sarcasm I was talking about.)
As I headed for the door I grabbed my coat and called out into mine and my 2 best friends 3 bedroom apartment that I was going, although I'm pretty sure that no one aknowledged.
Outside I realised I was very wrong. It was freezing!. I opened the door to my car. My car. Let me tell you about my car. It is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. It's an automatic shift white Jeep Wrangler with a gray top and gray cloth interior (cloth only because when you drive with the top down the sun can ruin leather, and trust me, the top is ALWAYS down). Cute, huh?
On the way out I almost hit the yellow Land Rover ungraciously parked almost directly behind behind my car. I'm glad I didn't though because the owner of the car is my next door neighbor Peter and he is quite cute and a lawsuit from him wasn't the first thing on my wishlist, especially because I think Tara, one of my friends, is having an affair with him.
When I made it to Service Merchendice, a place I was unfortunately quite familiar with considering I was the one who broke most of our household appliances, I parked in the parking space furthest away from the store. Praying that no one would hit my car, I hopped out and locked the doors, then began my, literally, mile long journey to the, now glowing silver, entrance.
Finally, reaching my destination, I walked over to where the cappacino machines were and picked one that fit my budget and looked pretty. I had just turned to head for the register and nearly dropped my box when I realized how close someone had gotten to me.
"Nice coffee machine." said a male voice, that I swear I knew from somewhere.
I stared hard at his shoes and slowly looked up trying to guess who it was before I saw his face, a bad habit. Even though I couldn't guess who it was by his body, before I saw his face I noticed his hair and immediatly knew who it was.
"Justin!" I screeched and threw my arms around him, by now the cappacino machine (not coffee machine there is a big difference and I had to remember to bitch at Justin later) was on the floor. He was obviously taken aback by my outburst but just started laughing. "Hey it's great to see you too but things are starting to go black..." he said and started to make an obnoxious gagging noise. Yup, that was Justin for ya. I laughed and let go.
"So, how have you been? I thought you guys were on tour?" I asked. He changed so much! I hadn't seen him since we were 16 and now we were 18 and he actually looked like he could fit his age!
"Things have finally slowed down some. We're taking a year...maybe longer, break." he said. We continued our small talk until I had payed for my cappucino machine and was getting ready to go. He finally turned to me and said "We have A LOT to talk about. Why don't we go somewhere tonight to talk?" Who was I to say no? I said yes and gave him my phone number. Then, we said our good bye's and I headed to my car. When I got inside my car and started the engine, I started thinking. 'If Justin was back, the so was Lance!' Just the thought made me smile. I made a note to myelf to remember to ask Justin about him later and headed home.
