“Justin! Wow! I never thought you’d call.” Laura giggled trying to act ditzy. He seemed to like her that way.
“Hey, yeah, well, I can’t talk long. I was just wondering of you would like to meet me at the mall at noon in the food court.” He quickly asked.
“I would love to!” Laura exclaimed.
“Well, I’ll see ya then. Remember this is just a get together, not a date!”
“Sure, whatever you want!”
“That’s what I want.”
“Okay! Bye!”
“Bye.”
“Geez! Men! They’re so pushy.” Laura grumbled walking into her room to get ready. “What to wear! Blue jeans...and...this purple noodle strap shirt. Now shoes....tennis shoes.” She decided and quickly changed. I put on light make=up and pulled half of my hair back. “Good enough for Justin Timberlake?” Laura questioned herself in the mirror.
“Yupe!” It seemed to reply.
“Good!”
“Anytime.”
“Oh gosh! I’ve lost it. Now I’m talking to my mirror.” Laura groaned walking out to her car.
Backstreet Boys were on the radio as she drove towards the mall. “Dadgum! Is Nick like stalking me or something?” She yelled changing the station.
N Sync’s harmony echoed through the speakers. “Much better.” She sighed.
An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of her stomach. Something was going to happen, and soon.
Kerry got out of her car and walked up the steps to Diana’s front door. She reached up and rang the door-bell. “Hey,” she smiled when Diana answered the door.
“Hi,” Diana’s voice was cold, but she let Kerry in.
“You owe me 50$,” Kerry laughed.
“I didn’t say you actually had to go have sex with them.” Diana said leading Kerry into the living room.
“We didn’t.” Kerry stated.
“You left with them.”
“What did you expect us to do?”
“Not that.”
“We left the car?”
“While it was moving?”
“No, while it was stopped in traffic.”
“Then why was AJ so tired.”
“Because they chased us.”
“And why wouldn’t he let me come over?”
“I don’t know! Maybe he was tired.”
“Why was he tired?”
“I just told you. They chased us a couple of miles, besides, yesterday you didn’t seem to care if we did.”
“I wanted you to get Brian.”
“But he’s ugly.”
Diana turned around and shook her head.
“Do I get my money or not?” Kerry questioned.
“Yea. Give me a minute. I was getting ready for a date with AJ.”
“Oh. Okay.”
Diana ran up the stairs to work on getting ready for a date with HER man. Kerry kind of wandered over to the phone. There was a pile of papers with phone numbers on them and on the top was one that said “AJ.” She looked up at them stairs and she looked around her. Nobody was in sight. She slipped that piece of paper in her pocket them casually wandered over to the other side of the room. After a moment Diana came bounding down the stairs and handing Kerry her money.
“What are you and AJ doing?” Kerry asked.
“I don’t know.” Diana shrugged. “We’ll find something to do this morning.”
“What about this afternoon?” Kerry questioned.
“I have to work from 1 to 7, so we can’t do anything this afternoon.”
“Okay, well thanks for the money,” Kerry said as she walked to the door.
“Bye.” Diana smiled.
“See-ya.”
“Not if I can help it!” Diana whispered to herself.
“Justin! Look at that bracelet! Isn’t it pretty?” Laura gasped as they passed Kay’s Jeweler’s.
“Yeah. I guess.” Justin mumbled. “Are you hungry? I’m starving.
“I guess we could go eat.
“Good. What do you want?”
“Chic-fil-la.” Laura stated. Nothing else sounded good at the moment.
“That sounds fine.”
Soon they were both seated at a small side table, hoping to not be spotted. Unfortunately they were.
“Justin!” A blond teenage girl crooned walking up to him.
“Hi.” Justin smiled.
Laura just watched.
“Is this your girlfriend?” She asked.
“No. We’re just friends.”
“Now, come on! You’re obviously lying!” She continued to pry.
“Do you have anything you want me to sign?”
“Yeah. Here.” She grumbled handing him a magazine picture.
“It was nice meeting you.” Justin called as she walked away.
Nick walked into the mall with two things in mind to do. One, to find a gift for Laura to give to her when he found her. Two, to hopefully find her while he was here. He didn’t care where or how long it took to find her, he just had to.
As he passed Kay’s Jeweler’s, a bracelet caught his eye. It was silver with bright white diamonds all over it.
“She’ll love it!” Nick said to himself. “What girl wouldn’t?”
Quickly he paid for it. He then decided he was hungry and hurried towards the food court.
“Don’t!” Laura exclaimed as Justin wrapped his arms around her.
“Why not?” He questioned leaning into kiss her.
“Because!”
“Because why?”
“Because there are a lot of people around here!”
“So, shouldn’t I be the one worrying about that?”
“Well, yeah. But I still....”
“Come on! It’s just one kiss!”
“Not now. Maybe later.” Laura firmly stated pulling out of Justin’s arms.
“Do you still want to go shop some more?” Justin asked.
“I wouldn’t mind that.”
They started walking out of the food court, neither paying attention to their surroundings.
Bam!
Laura ran straight into a tall blonde familiar guy.
“I’m sorry!” Nick apologized steadying the girl. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, sorry about....oh crap!” Laura exclaimed then jerked away from Nick. Suddenly she started running towards the mall entrance.
