Falling Out Of Love
Faith: Chapter 7

Faith walked downstairs and took Brian's breath away. After staring at her
for what seemed like hours, he finally managed to say, "Wow, you look
gorgeous."
Faith blushed, "Thank you... I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long."
"It was all worth the wait," Brian said, and he wasn't kidding either.
"Well, should we go?" Faith asked.
"Yeah... what time do you want her back?"
"Somewhere between 12 and 1," Emily said.
"I think we can do that," Brian said.
Faith gave her mom a hug, "I love you."
"Have fun," her mother answered, watching them walk out the door.
...
"So, do you wanna go straight to the dance, or get something to eat first?"
"Isn't it kinda expensive to ride around town in a limo?" Faith inquired.
"Well, yeah, but I can afford it." The truth of the matter was Brian had had
to save up for quite some time in order to afford the limo.
"Wow," Faith said, "I could never afford something like this... my mom would
laugh at me if I even asked."
"Nah," Brian said, "She wouldn't laugh at you; she seems too nice for that."
Faith looked down, then spoke softly, "She is... she's way too nice. I
wouldn't get away with half the stuff I do if she didn't let me."
"You try Faith," he said, tilting her head up and looking into her eyes,
"That's all anyone can do."
Faith closed her eyes briefly, then wiped away her tears, "Thank you," she
whispered.
"For what?"
"For believing in me... you really shouldn't though. I let everyone down."
"No you don't," he said.
"Yes I do," she began to cry again, "I'm the reason my parents got
divorced... my father hated me. He tried so hard to help me, but I just kept
pushing him away, until he couldn't even stand to live in the same house as
me anymore."
Brian hugged her, "No more thinking about yesterdays. They're gone. Focus on
the night."
Faith smiled, "You're right."
"So does that mean dinner?" Brian asked.
"Yeah," Faith said, "Sounds good."
