Corey and Megan were awed by the size of the aircraft. While the Backstreet Boys stowed their luggage in the overhead compartments, Corey raced his sister up and down the aisles through the whole length of the plane. When they raced back up through economy and business class, Kevin was waiting for them with a sharp reprimand and reminder to behave themselves. The twins were chastised and obediently took their seats, Megan sitting by the window, next to Brian and Corey sitting by AJ, in the aisle seat.
After ten minutes, the plane started up the runway, accelerating as it gained momentum.
"Tell the driver to slow down," Megan demanded looking at Brian with a scared look in her eyes.
Brian smiled at her: she'd obviously never been in a plane before.
"Honey," he answered, "This is an airplane the pilot, not driver, has to go this fast so we can fly."
"Fly?" Megan squeaked, "Like what birds do?"
"Yeah, didn't you know planes could fly?" Brian asked.
"No. Will we fall out of the sky then?"
"Nope," Brian answered as the plane started ascending.
"Then how will we get down!" Megan shrieked, tears welling up in her eyes.
Brian racked his brain for ideas, "Umm, well you see, when we want to come down, the pilot brings us down, slowly. Everything will be fine, you'll see."
Megan didn't see and soon she was screaming at the top of her voice that she wanted to get off the airplane.
Brian enveloped her in a big hug, hoping to calm her a little, it worked, "Listen hon," he said, "We won't crash, I've been on a plane before, and I guarantee that we won't crash."
Megan looked up at him, tears cascading down her cheeks, "Are you sure?"
"Positive."
Corey on the other hand was enjoying he ride. He had stationed himself in Kevin's lap so he could look out the window.
"Look clouds!" Corey exclaimed sticking his nose up to the window.
Nick smiled at his euphoria.
"Hey Megan," Corey called from two rows behind his twin, "Doesn't that cloud look like a bear?"
Megan peeked cautiously out of the window to see what her brother was talking about. In a few minutes, Corey had abandoned his station on Kevin's lap and moved sit on Brian. Soon the twins were preoccupied with staring at clouds and classifying them into different shapes.
After a half-hour, the airhostess served them lunch, Megan refused to eat her vegetables, and Corey announced that he didn't like fish. Brian however refused to let them eat the chocolate cake if they didn't clear everything else.
Megan pouted and started to sulk, "It's not fair, Mom always let us eat the cake first."
"Well," Brian answered, "Right now you're with me, and I say you eat everything first, then eat dessert."
"Yeah," Howie quipped, "Or else your cake will melt."
Megan took him seriously, and in ten minutes her plates were devoid of all food.
"I finished," she said meekly tugging at Brian's sleeve.
Brian inspected her plate and granted her permission to devour her cake.
Corey on the other hand was adamant about not eating the fish.
"Corey, fish is good for you," Nick said trying to coax him into at least taking a bite.
"Don't make him eat that," Megan interrupted, "or he'll throw up."
Chuckles and giggles filled the whole first class, needless to say BSB was sorely embarrassed.
"Umm, ok" Nick said, "Here just eat the cake."
In another hour, the seven landed in Orlando. Megan was ecstatic to find that they were on solid ground, but she was a little disappointed that she had missed the landing.
When they got into the airport, the boys were immediately surrounded by eager teeny-boopers, who insisted on hugs and kisses and autographs. The boys politely, but firmly declined their requests, but it still took them an hour to check their luggage and leave the airport.
"Phew, that was some crowd, huh?" Howie asked as they clambered into a taxi.
"Yeah," Nick agreed stashing his large duffel bag in the trunk of another taxi. "C'mon, kids, get in."
Silence.
"Umm, where are the twins?" AJ gulped.
"They're still in the airport," Kevin groaned running back in.
The five boys charged back and started searching for the two, yelling their names and asking people if they had seen them. Brian branched off, and notified airport security of their situation.
"Twins, eh?" asked the head of security, "Yup, we seen 'em. They said they lived with Nick Carter, but we didn't think we should believe them."
"Well, they do," Brian barked back, heatedly. "Why the hell shouldn't you believe them?"
"Well, sir, if we believed everyone who walked in here and said they lived with this or that Backstreet Boy, you guys would have to be in the witness protection program.
Brian immediately apologized for his rudeness, "Where are they?"
The security guard led him to a small room where the twins were comfortably seated, eating milk and cookies, and watching TV.
"Hey kids," Brian greeted.
The two lept from their seats and threw their arms around his waist.
"You got lost!" Megan wailed.
"Yeah, why did you leave us?" Corey whined.
Brain led the twins out to the taxi bumping into Kevin and AJ on the way.
"Thank God!" AJ exclaimed swinging Megan into the air.
Kevin wrapped Corey in a big bear. "Ok, AJ, Rok, you two get back to the cabs and I'll get Howie and Nick."
"No need," Brian said waving his hand and producing a cell phone from his pocket. In five minutes all five Backstreet Boys had hugged and kissed each twin.
"You left us!" Megan shouted, pointing an accusing finger at Nick.
"No, sweetheart, we didn't leave you. We just got separated, that's all," Nick answered.
"Don't do it again," she scolded as they pulled up in front of Nick's mansion.
"You live here?" Corey squealed his eyes wide with disbelief. "WOW!"
Nick smiled as he helped the other boys unload their stuff and pay the cabbie. It was going to be a very interesting three days.
