Nick sang his heart out for the fans during the concert, so no one could tell he was anxious for it to end. He had a lot to do, this was their last concert, then they would go home for three days, then it was back to work. Now he had to make arrangements for Megan and Corey to come too.

Right after the concert, Nick rushed backstage to find Den-Mark and get the twins back from them.

"Twins?" asked Mark, "We didn't know they're twins, they're right back here anyway, sleeping. A half-hour of playing jump rope and Nintendo with Dan exhausted them."

"They know how to play Nintendo?" AJ asked incredulously over the top of his glasses.

"Well, not really," Dan answered coming up to the bus carrying one sleeping twin on each arm. "They tried to play, but their coordination ain't good enough for playing Nintendo."

Howie nodded as he and Nick relieved Dan of his burden, and boarding the bus with the other Backstreet Boys.

"Umm," Kevin said suddenly, "Exactly how long are we keeping these two, Nick?"

Nick gulped, opps small detail he had conveniently forgotten. "Umm, I'm not sure exactly," he answered wishing they'd get to the hotel quickly.

"What? Didn't you arrange anything with their mom?" AJ growled.

"Well, yeah, see, hey how 'bout we stop for pizza and ice cream? My treat," he announced brightly.

"Nick, you don't know do you?" Brian asked gently.

Nick grinned sheepishly and nodded, "I said I'd keep them until Tiffany can get some training and find a decent job. You know, get her bearings? This way, she'd have less mouths to feed, less people to worry about, and we could give them some basic education. Reading, writing, arithmetic, the three R's."

"I'd like to give you three," Kevin mumbled. "Three B's that is. Bruised, black and blue."

Nick winced, Kevin had beat him up only once before, but it was something he'd remember for the rest of his life. "C'mon Kev, what would you have done?"

Kevin was silent for a minute. Yeah, what would he have done? He certainly couldn't have said no, it would have been inhumane. He sighed, "I'm sorry Nick, I guess we're all kinda grumpy because of the surprise and because you were late."

Nick was relieved, "So y'all don't mind helping me take care of them?"

"Course not," Howie said, "They're cute, and we don't have to change diapers." He quipped.

Nick grinned widely from ear to ear as their bus parked in front of the hotel. The he groaned. "Look," he grumbled.

Crowding the hotel entrance was a sea of screaming, crying, desperate girls holding posters and expressing their love for BSB.

"Now what do we do?" Howie mumbled as they sat in the dark. "There's too many of them."

Brian took a deep breath, "I'll go round front, you guys sneak round back and I'll try to meet you soon."

Den-Mark accompanied Brian towards the surging wave of uncontrollable fans. He couldn't help smiling and waving at them, shaking hands and giving hugs, he even signed a few autographs.

The other four Backstreet Boys dived through a side door, Kevin carrying Corey and AJ carrying Megan.

After an hour, Brian was finally able to escape from the girls, and the other boys had been waiting impatiently for him to come upstairs.

"Hey," he gasped in greeting gulping down a cool glass of water.

"Yo, Rok, it took you a while," Howie responded.

"Yeah, well," Brian shrugged. The other boys laughed at him, they knew he had such a soft heart, he'd have loved to stay and talk with all those people.

"What were you doing?" he asked.

"Well, we just finished getting plane tickets for Corey and Megan, you know for our going home tomorrow?" Nick answered.

Brian nodded, "OK, I was thinking, since we all agreed to help Nick, why don't we all move in with him during our three days off? Then we can help him look after these two."

Nick smiled happily as his friends agreed cheerfully.

"Great, now I won't have to go home and clean out cobwebs and stuff." AJ grinned.

The next morning, the boys were up by 7:30, their flight was at eleven and they still hadn't packed their stuff. Nick was surprised to wake up and see that the twins were already awake, and watching TV.

"Hey," he mumbled.

Corey turned around and smiled at him, "Do you mind us watching the TV?"

Nick shook his head, "But who taught you how to turn it on?"

"Brian did, he was here a little while ago," Megan answered staring captivated as Johnny Bravo got whacked over the head by some lady he was trying to hit on.

Nick nodded, of course, he'd asked that Brian be given a copy of his room key, so Brian could come in and get him if the alarm didn't wake him up. Nick stretched and yawned, "You kids hungry?"

Megan nodded, her face still glued to the TV.

"OK," Nick said turning off the TV, "What would you like for breakfast?"

The two thought for a minute, then Corey shook his head, "What can we have?"

Nick smiled and recited a list of different foods, some the twins had never heard of.

"I want cookies!" Megan suddenly shrieked.

"Yea! And ice cream!" Corey added jumping to his feet and starting to bounce on the bed.

Megan joined her brother screeching "Cookies and ice cream!" the whole time.

Nick was shocked, he had no idea what to do. He remembered that Aaron and Angel had often jumped on his parents' bed, and their mom always threatened to ground them, but he couldn't say that to these two.

"Umm, you two don't do that," he said watching as the bed shook with every bounce.

Before another word could be uttered, Kevin entered the room with Brian's spare key. It took him a second to assess the situation.

Nick winced as Kevin bellowed, "YOU TWO STOP JUMPING ON THAT BED OR I'LL PUNISH YOU SOMETHING HORRIBLE SO HELP ME GOD!"

There was complete silence; it was so quiet that Nick thought even the air molecules had stopped moving.

Kevin had a dangerous glare on his face, "Look at this mess!" he said his eyes wandering over the comforter and pillows strewn all over the floor.

"We'll clean it up," Megan immediately offered racing to grab a stray pillow off the floor.

"Ok," Kevin said, a small smile playing on his lips, "If you can finish before I count to fifty, I'll buy you both a doughnut."

Nick smiled gratefully at his 'big brother' and headed for the shower. By the time he got out, the room looked neat and the twins were gone. He dressed quickly and made it downstairs to the large dining hall in time for breakfast.

Megan grinned up at him as he took his place next to her. Her mouth was covered with chocolate and strawberry jelly. Nick laughed at her, "You look adorable," he complimented. She grinned even wider and took another large bite out of her jelly filled doughnut. Corey had opted for cheesecake instead of a doughnut, but he had trouble getting it to stay on his fork, and most of it ended up on his shorts.

"You know Corey," Nick said "If you took a little on your fork, it wouldn't fall down."

"But if I do that, it'll melt."

Nick looked incredulously around the table and noticed AJ and Howie snickering behind their napkins. He glared at them and turned back to Corey,

"That's not true, just eat it normally."

Corey stuck his tongue out at the two jokers, and managed to finish what was left of the cake.

The rest of the breakfast went without incident and in a couple of hours the boys and the twins were boarding a plan to Orlando, Florida.
