The dinner went by in a rush everyone seemed to like the company but Jennifer's mind were someplace else. She couldn't understand what Jim was doing. And after a while excused herself and said that she had a headache and needed to rest. Nick offered to walk her to her room and she accepted.
"Um...you know Jenn...you have the same chance as I do...if there's anything you need to talk about don't be afraid to talk to me, I wouldn't mind listening and you've seemed to be so far away tonight. Are you Ok? Is there anything I can do for you?"
"I don't know Nick, I just think I need to be alone for a moment. Is it Ok if you come by a little later and we'll talk, maybe I've figured it out by then..."
"Ok, whatever you want. Just call me and I'll come over.... Or better yet just knock on the wall and I'll come, OK?"
"Ok" Jennifer said, and he could see the tears in her eyes that were about to come.
"Hey, hey, don't cry, I'm here, I ain't gonna leave you." He said with a very soft comforting voice at the same time as he gave her a friendly hug. They were right outside Jennifer's room and she picked her key up and unlocked the door.
"I think I've changed my mind, would you mind coming in right now?"
"Now?...Sure I will."
They went inside and Nick was still holding her in his arms and they sat down on the bed and Jennifer started to spill her heart out and Nick listened and said some comforting words here and there. Before they knew it, it had gotten real late and Nick said that he should go to bed.
Jennifer felt very alone and little when he left and she started crying again and she still didn't know why. All she knew was that she love Jim but he was being so cold and mean to her and she also was very tired and just wanted to go home. After an hour or so she called Nick's room and a sleepy voice answered.
"Yeah?"
"Um, Nick it's Jennifer, I can't sleep I feel so alone, would you mind coming over until I fall asleep?"
"No problem, I'm just gonna put on a shirt and I'll be right over."
"Two minutes later there he was and he offered to sleep on her couch that night and so he did. Jennifer felt much better and fell asleep after a few minutes. But Nick on the other hand thought the sofa was so uncomfortable that he moved down to the floor and well, he fell asleep faster than he had expected.
When Jennifer woke up the next morning she thought that he must've gone back to his room since she couldn't see him anywhere. Oh, well at least she got to sleep well. She started to walk towards the bathroom still rubbing her eyes. Then all of a sudden she hit something with her foot and she heard a moan. She looked down.
"Oh God! Nick! Are you Ok? I'm so sorry...."
"Yeah, I'm fine.... Great wake up though...." He started to laugh.
"I didn't see you there, what are you doing on the floor anyways?"
"Well after you had fallen a sleep last night I discovered that the couch was so uncomfortable that I tried the floor which was perfect."
"Oh...you poor thing... You should've woken me up.. I mean I have a queen-sized bed, you could have easily fitted in it!"
"Yeah, but you looked so peaceful and I didn't want to disturb you. And Hey! The floor was great!!"
"Well ok then.. But I owe you one."
Then after a few minutes Jennifer went into the shower and Nick went to his room to take one.
They had decided to meet up in the breakfast room to eat after 20 minutes. They ate and while they were talking each of the guys came and joined them including Jim. Jim and Jennifer decided to go and watch a movie that evening since the rest of them were going to work.
After breakfast Nick joined Jennifer for a walk in the city while Jim went to work and Brian went to his room to call his girlfriend. Kevin and Howie decided to go to the gym and A.J had no idea what he was going to do until he laid eyes on a beautiful brunette at the end of the room, and in two seconds he was gone.
