Jennifer was sitting on the floor in her room doing some homework. She could hear the phone ringing but since she was in the middle of something and the music was blasting in the background so she didn't even bother to pick it up. After a while she could hear her brother call her name.
-Yes?
-It's for you.
-Okay, hang up! She sighed and threw herself on the stomach on the bed and sighed thinking it probably only was someone who wanted some help with the homework.
-Jenni... She said in the phone softly.
-Hey! It's Nick! She quickly sat up, so she wouldn't miss anything of what he said.
-Hey! Whoa, I didn't expect you to call until next Friday, what a lovely surprise. She was very happy, he could hear that. But then all of a sudden she became deadly serious.
-Wait! Is something wrong? She asked very suspicious.
-No, na-a. He laughed.
- We just got some news. It's like this, the guys and me get a few weeks extra vacation right after new years. So we thought we could spend a week with our family and then come and visit you guys for a while. Do you think that would be OK?
-Yeah! Sure it is! She was happy once again.
-Or wait, I'd love that, but I have to check with he others too, but I'm sure it's more than fine. She said a bit thoughtful. They talked for a while longer and then they hung up. Nick was going to call the next day and they were going to work everything out.
The time since the last time they saw each other had gone by so quickly, the girls were busy in school and the boys had their music.
They hadn't met since that last da at the airport and both Nick and Jennifer had longed for the day they'd meet again for a long time. The two of them had kept in touch and become great pals during hte last few months, using phone, e-mail and ordinary snail mail.
They were very close and knew exactly what was going on in the other person's life. The other guys had also phoned every once in a while and AJ and Evelyn had a great bond between them. The last few weeks had been pretty full for all of them and the girls hadn't had that much time to do stuff together, but Jennifer was too exited to let this wait so she jumped on the phone once more and forgot about the homework. She called both Linda and Susanne and asked them to come over, Evelyn was at a floorball practice so she wouldn't be able to make it.
