The Nineteenth Amendment -- Women's Suffrage Rights

The Nineteenth Amendment was the amendment passed on June 4, 1919 that stated: Section 1. The right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

~This amendment helped let women vote and created equality between men and women.
