SINGLE GUY LOOKING. . .

That’s me on the right. I’m 47 years old and tired of being single.

I tried the on-line dating thing and so far I’m disappointed in the responses I’ve been getting. There are a few interesting folk that I’ve heard from, but the on-line scene it turns out, is not that different from the bar/nightclub scene. I just don’t want to go there. Good places to meet friends, but anything serious? Not too likely.

I’m divorced, with children (not living with me), and have been single (mostly by choice) for some time. I have a university education, a decent job and a positive outlook on life. I’m fit, young-at heart, and have more interests than I could count here.

I love cooking, good food (I’m an excellent cook), reading, writing and fishing. I have also been known to sing a tune or two on karaoke nights.

I’m not looking for a “fling.” I want an intelligent, articulate, humourous partner to share the things that I have to offer. Her age (within reason), ethnic background, education or socio-economic situation are unimportant. What IS important is that she be willing to try things before rejecting them, capable of good conversation and she should have ideas and opinions of her own.
