Cycle Routes through out Britain
The Great Glen Cycle Route (Fort William to Inverness) By far the most popular cycle route in the Highlands. It covers approximately 75 miles of truly scenic splendor. From the locks of the Caledonian Canal to the shores of Loch Ness for a bit of monster spotting! This route has it all.
Callander to Strathyre Railway Route The Callander to Crianlarich Railway was closed in 1965 and the
old track bed has been used to create this gently sloping route. On the way you
pass Ben Ledi and cycle along the shore of beautiful Loch Lubnaig, rising
briefly into the forest before the decent into bonnie Strathyre. You can also
continue for 5K along a quiet single track road to Balquhidder, the burial
place of Rob Roy Macgregor.
Callander, Brig o' Turk and loch Katrine This scenic route takes you westwards along the shore of Loch Venachar and onward to the small village of Brig o' Turk. From there you can choose from several routes along Loch Achray, into Achray forest, further on to Loch Katrine. |
