Window guts
I reinstalled the window crank assembly, the quarter flip out window, and the window guides last night. It was fairly brainless, but the extra weight means I have to re-adjust the fitting of the doors. I have installed and unistalled the engine about ten times, and I have to do it one more because the starter housing is making contact with the transmission tunnel. After a little "masaging" with a mini sledge, it should be good to go. The harmonic balancer issue I spoke of on the website was cured by swapping that strange one to Glen Towery for the right one. The engine was in a boat before so maybe that it why it had an odd ball balancer on it. I have put the interior together (dash, seats, and console) just to get a look at what it might look like in the end, and I think it is going to look great. All of the gauges and the radio light up red at night! The shift knob will be a "Flameball" which is a cool ball with a tiny light insde that lights it up from the inside when the headlights are on. It is made so that the top of the ball is black and the bottom and sides have a five color flame that is lucid and lets the light shine through. It may be a little over the top, but is it out of place on an MGB V8?
