| History: Tennis was played in the first decade of this century but organised tennis life date from 1928. The TennisAssociation of Bosnia and Herzegovina which was estblished in 1950 noedays has 32 clubs and more than 3.600 registered players in all categories. By the proclamations of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina as independent and sovereign country and its international recognition and acceptance to UN- membership, the Tennis Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina has become an independent Tennis Association in May 1992. regardless the war situation tennis has been played in the towns of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla, Mostar and Međugorije ) and the national championship 1994 and 1995 have been held. Since the war is finally over tennis is moving toward development and expension throught the contry. |
