The flowers everywhere have been really stunning, especially in the parks. I've avoided taking photos of the big formal beds and concentrated instead on unexpected things I came across as I walked around the park. The fairytale cottage I have photographed before, but this time it really appealed to me in its spring finery.

The little park adjoining St Patrick's Cathedral has also been full of spring colour. The photo I chose for the home page was taken in this park as well. The trees at Trinity College are also coming alive again after their winter sleep. This is such a pretty time of year and all the more special because it lasts such a short time.

Secret Garden

This time I've concentrated on the 'secret garden' aspect of Iveagh Park. Even the entrance gives you the feeling that you have glimpsed an enchanted world. The other two photos were taken on the walk that borders the archery grounds. The soft spring sunlight was perfect for the kind of pictures I wanted to take this particular day.
