Youth, Glorious Ignorant Youth!

To be 17 again, like this. To be back there again and know what I know now ... to talk to myself, 30 years wiser, 30 years older. What would I tell that girl?

I would say to her this:

Never lose the joy of laughter
Never stop discovering the hidden meaning in this world.

Don't forget where you came from and who you are, before this time, before now, a long time ago.
Don't lose sight of the light, it guides you when there is nothing but darkness all around.

Remember that love heals all hurts and bridges all canyons and lasts for all time.

And people will come and go and come and go and come and go in your life, one after another after another, their faces and voices blending into a melting pot that you dip your finger into and taste over and over for enjoyment and pleasure. Don't discard them because each of them has something to offer, something to teach you, something to reveal. And every single dash of salt and pepper and herb and spice will make the dish rich and flavorful and delicious.

Most of all, be true to yourself because when it is all said and done, the only one that you need to prove anything to is yourself.
