Page Says More Black Crowes Work May Be Coming

Jimmy Page told LAUNCH that he's certainly up
for continuing his alliance with the The Black Crowes during an
interview in New York City on Wednesday (March 1) to promote the
new album Jimmy Page And The Black Crowes Live At The Greek.
"We've discussed the possibility of maybe having a collaboration in the
studio," Page said. "We've also discussed possibilities of maybe doing
some more touring around everything, you know? It's all being
discussed. There's so many different avenues that you can go down at
the moment, and, you know, they're all very positive and good, and
we'll see what comes out of it all."
Jimmy Page And The Black Crowes Live At The Greek
is only available on the Internet. The music is
featured at www.musicmaker.com in three ways: the
full 19-song, two-CD set, which costs $17.90; songs
that are picked and sequenced by the buyers
themselves, which costs $4.95 for the first five songs
and $1 more for each additional song on a CD; or,
single-song downloads to your computer, with each
track going for $1. For more information or to make
an order, go to www.musicmaker.com.
Page was wondering what the demand would be for an Internet-only
album. The former Led Zeppelin guitarist half-jokingly told LAUNCH
that he was a little worried about how many people would actually go
online to order the album. He needn't have been concerned -- so many
people tried to get the music that the company was swamped. The
servers at Musicmaker.com crashed last night, due to the overwhelming
number of orders coming in to the site. While a final tally was
unavailable at press time, Jimmy Page And The Black Crowes Live At
The Greek is being hailed as the best-selling custom CD and paid
download in the history of Internet music, according to a spokesman
for the project.
