The Black Crowes have put 10 solid years into their working man's Southern rock and roll and Columbia/American/Angelus Entertainment believes it's high time for a collection of said music to hit stores. So that's what will happen on June 20 when The Black Crowes: A Tribute to a Work in Progress ... Greatest Hits 1990-1999 is released, highlighting the best tracks from each of the band's five albums. All the gems from the band's classic 1990 debut, Shake Your Money Maker, are represented ("Twice As Hard," "Hard To Handle," "She Talks to Angels," and "Jealous Again") as are all the group's notable works since ("Remedy," "Thorn in My Pride," "Kickin' My Heart Around," "Only a Fool," "By Your Side," "A Conspiracy," etc.). Meanwhile, the Black Crowes will kick off their summer tour with Jimmy Page on June 24 in Chicago (allstar, April 13) and continue on the road through Oct. 1 in Cleveland.
