Our Travels

Part of Bruce’s salary package includes the company paying for us to return to the States once a year for a visit. What we discovered is that the fare to fly from Sydney to Los Angeles is not much less than what it costs to fly on what is called an “around the world” fare. So, we have taken advantage of that fare to extend and supplement our stateside trips with stops at various places in Europe and the U.S. the past few years.

One year we stopped in London and Paris, the next year we visited Washington, D.C. (over the 4th of July) and New York City, and this past year, we toured Italy for nearly a week before returning to Sydney.

The flight from Sydney to the States is a long one, so we try and break it up whenever possible, either stopping en route or on the way home in either Hawaii, or in Europe/Asia, depending on which direction we’re travelling.
