JACK

Obedience is my first love, so it was only natural that Jack would find himself at obedience classes. He started off at Broadford and Dist Dog Training Group.

On May 21st 2006, Jack competed in his first members comp at Broadford. He had only attended class a couple of times, but is one very clever puppy, and learns really quickly. Against tough competition, (those damn smart Border Collies just to mention a few) Jack was awarded 2nd place. Way to go Jacky!!

As part of my Instructors Course at the Kintala Club, I put Jack through their IDA- Ideal Dogs of Australia- course. It was lots of fun, I met some great people, and Jack passed with flying colours. The Kintala club encourages lots of off lead socialising, which Jack absolutely loved, even though he was usually the smallest dog there! He was awarded a certificate on completion.

In 2007 I joined Sunbury & Dist Obedience Dog Club. Jack has passed Beginners, Class 1 & 2 and got his pass up into Class 3 in August 07. Jack loves his obedience class, and the occasional Agility run through as well. He commenced 2008 in class 4, which is Sunbury's trialling class so is now up there with Molly and the big guys!

After zooming through the classes, Jack has begun competing in the occasional Open Obedience Trial. He attained his first pass, and was awarded fourth place in the class out of 15 dogs, on 17th August 2008 at Bendigo Trial
