JONNY LANG
With all of his notoriety, Jonny Lang remains the individual who emerged
a year ago; a young man with a
level-head,
a driving love for music and the simple goal of continuing to spend his
time doing what he loves more than anything.
And after
his first visit to the Ives we all know what that is - playing the blues.
At age 19,
Jonny Lang has made the world stand to take notice. His A&M Records
Lie to Me opened the eyes of blues music
fans. He headlined
in clubs across the U.S. at age 16, which led to a short tour of Europe
before his stint with the B.B. King
Blues Show.
It was here at the Ives that Jonny fulfilled one of his lifelong dreams to play alongside B.B. King.
Jonny Lang
has made enormous inroads toward exposing the blues to a new generation
of fans. Since his appearance here last
year, he and
his band joined The Blues Travelers before a headline tour of Japan. They
have opened for The Rolling Stones and
appeared in
the movie Blues Brothers 2000.
Welcome back
Jonny.
